Phenomenal food, absolutely recommend dining here if you're looking for a spot in the packing district! The wagyu smash burger was incredible, definitely would get that again! They also have tons of yummy sides and fries. We tried the garlic fries and the Mac and cheese, both were delicious!! Tons of spots to eat in the building as well as outdoor space.
My brother and I decided to go here after wandering around and I can say that this place is good! I had the wagyu smash burger and it's pretty decent! The burger itself is a bit dry but the cheese and sauce balance it out. The cheese does get a bit overwhelming at times but other than that it's pretty good! The size of the burger too is big in my opinion (I don't usually eat very much) but the burger is definitely good to split between 2 people! The parking area is kind of ok but hard to find parking even on a Friday around noon. Overall: would go here if the wait isn't too long!
I came here with my parents on a Saturday around 12:30pm. It was kind of loud, so I had a hard time hearing. Thankfully, they take your name and number, then text you when your order is ready. My dad got the BBQ Ranch Smash Fries. My mom got the Grilled Cheese. I got the Beef Melt. Fortunately for my dad, we agreed that the fries were the best. Unfortunately for my dad, we insisted on sharing. One word of advice... check out the "Texas" donut at the nearby Randy's Donuts! It's hilariously big!
We wanted to grab lunch and walked around checking everything out and we ended up coming here and it was fantastic Customer Service was above and beyond We placed our order found a seat to sit they brought out our drinks and items presentation was awesome Food was incredible everything was nice and hot very fresh Garlic fries so perfect Smash burger was delicious Our sandwiches were so flavorful and filling Everything was perfect the area was great vibe and customer service again top notch they checked in on us from time to time! I highly recommend this place to everyone to try!
The Kroft, located at The Packing District, was one of the most exciting restaurants to be at, especially during the holidays, as it was just festive and fun filled during the holidays! This restaurant fit perfectly into the ambiance of The Packing District, which features a modern, cozy atmosphere and offers many different menu options. I ordered the smash burger which did not let me down. The smash burger that I ordered was extremely juicy, flavorful, and was cooked to perfection. The smash burger that I ordered also included a nice caramelized crust, which provides a smash burger additional flavor. I paired my smash burger with their gravy smothered fries, topped with fried chicken. Their gravy smothered fries were excellent because they were very crispy prior to being smothered in gravy, and the fried chicken on top of the gravy provided an additional crunchy texture and seasonings to each bite of the fries and to the gravy. The combination of the gravy smothered fries and fried chicken made for a rich and deliciously flavored dish that could have easily been its own holiday treat. Inside the Kroft there was very little seating. However, despite the large crowds and long wait lines during the holidays, the Kroft staff were friendly and helpful! Getting a table and having a chance to enjoy their food while experiencing the great vibe of the Packing District was relatively simple and enjoyable. My experience at the Kroft was both satisfying and fun and has already got me thinking about returning to the Kroft when I go to the Anaheim Packing District again, where I will definitely order another smash burger!
Etched in the packing district with dozens of food options to choose from, one of my favorite options to choose from for food that always satisfies whatever mood I'm in is The Kroft. Small seating area (to be expected it's the packing district), the menu is plentiful and the workers are helpful, especially with a lot of items I've never tried before. Got the loco moco and the classic fries, and my goodness I could eat 10 boxes of each. Fries are cooked well, nothing dry of any sorts and the additions to each stand out in their own respective ways. Didn't have to wait too long either, and every time I think about the packing district I think of the kroft. Try the poutine, it's great
My son was arriving at LGB aka Long Beach Airport and so after picking him up we went to LBX Hangar to see what interests my taste buds when I walk around the food court. So I saw their rotisserie cooking up the pork belly Porchetta and so I went with the Porchetta sandwich. Some cheese curds with garlic Mayo and a French onion smash burger. The service was ok, at least there were no mistakes. The burger and sandwich were good. The Porchetta on ciabatta was a bit oily, but very tasty. I would actually try some of their other sandwiches. The smash burger was also very tasty but it was a bit salty, maybe from the Parmesan cheese crisp. Let's see what I go with next time.
In Packing district. Walked in and looked at photos on wall.The Smashburger caught my eye. So I ordered the combo but thru my phone. It was my first time using the app. I ordered but it was a bit confusing. I went up as my text arrived that my Combo Smashburger was ready. As I got my food I looked around to find a place to sit as you know this place is always packed and stuffy down stairs. I went upstairs got a spot only to remember I didn't get my drink so I went back and I asked the girl in pick up she said she couldn't give it to me I had to go to the line again. Really for a drink I already paid for and I even showed her the receipt attached. So I had to wait again for a while just to get to the front and ask she said oh yeah the online is specific when you order and if it didn't have anything then we don't serve it. It was a loss of time it's just a cup of a drink paid for the first girl should have helped. Ugh Only to try to get the spot back and of course it was taken. So the burgers sauce was messy. I felt the Double patty advertised is s super thin one that doesn't even make one normal size. I felt that it was.more brioche bun and sauce than anything. The fries were good they were super soft tho. Not sure bc of the wait time for a drink or if they toss them in too much liquid(sauce) for garlic fries. Overall I won't be ordering from them again. On to trying something new there
Saw some videos online about people stopping by this place in the packing district. Ended up dropping by for the wagyu fries. Easy ordering and plenty of seats. Their fries can take a little time to cook probably because of the burger. Was tasty and a nice snack. It was also super filling. There's so many options around but this place stood out and it was a nice cute environment to sit and eat at.
I rarely go to the Anaheim Packing House but every time I do, I get food from The Kroft, and it's always a poutine. You cannot go wrong with the poutine. Service is standard; I received my order in 10 minutes. There's plenty of general seating all around the Packing House, so you don't need to sit directly at the food stand. I usually get the country fried chicken poutine. It comes with sausage gravy, cheese curds, chicken nuggets, bacon, and green onions. The last time I got this, the chicken was very dry, almost overcooked, but this time it was piping hot and the right amount of crisp. Personally, I think there needs to be more gravy and more fries. It is a little pricey though. If you are hungry, I would recommend getting a burger or sandwich with a side of fries.
My boy and I decided to head to the Anaheim Packing District for the last night if our SoCal trip. Plus, it was my very first time visiting! Since we couldn't decide on a restaurant, we went on to pick our own places to grab a bite from. The Kroft was bookmarked on my list but I couldn't remember what for. Then I looked at the menu and it hit me! The PB & J Wagyu Smashburger! I went on to place my order with the friendly staff. On top of ordering the burger I had to get a side of fries. Turn around time was decent due to the fact it was a Friday night and busy. I met with my boy at a table he found and I unpacked my order. The PB & J Wagyu Smashburger looked immaculate. I was hooked with the sweet and savory flavor, medium cooked patty, and fresh condiments. The fries were nice and crispy. But I'll most definitely need to be back to try their other menu offerings.
I met up with a friend at Packing House while visiting Anaheim. We walked around for a bit to browse the different food options available - since it was a weekday during the day, it wasn't busy and we were able to take our time. I ended up circling back to The Kroft because their sign caught my attention. French dip? Yes please! We ordered our food to-go and grabbed a table closer to the center of the Packing House, since The Kroft is tucked away downstairs and feels a bit darker being farther from the windows. I ordered just the sandwich with no sides, plus a drink, and it ended up being a good amount of food for me. The sandwich (and dip) itself was on the richer, heavier side, but was incredibly tasty and satisfying. I would definitely want to try to come back the next time I am in the area.

I had the Loco Moco Fries. I liked the gravy and the curds were tasty-ish, but I would rather have had a McDonald's patty on the fries. We decided to drop by since we had never been to the Anaheim Packing House. Parking here is a hassle. We drove in circles a few times around 1pm on a Wednesday before finding a spot. Pretty empty inside. After walking around we settled on The Kroft. We ordered the Philly fries, smash burger, and birria sandwich. The fries were a 10/10. Sooooo good I wish I'd just gotten a second order of that. The burger and sandwich were just okay. Probably about a 7/10. Their poutine is no joke. I normally love cheese curds. Sadly, the end result was disappointment. The cheese curds I ordered were severely overcooked. You couldn't even taste the cheese. It was just hard in texture and burnt in flavor. Gross. Even dipping in the sauce didn't help. Service was fine. Nothing special. They overcooked the curds, so maybe it wasn't the best service? Stopped by The Kroft at Haven City Market right around Happy Hour, and I was really impressed. Happy Hour runs Monday-Friday from 3-6 p.m. and they offer 50% off sides and beers, which is honestly an amazing deal. We came on a holiday just as Happy Hour started, and it wasn't crowded at all--perfect for hanging out. It did get busier after 5, but still very manageable. Service was fantastic from start to finish. Food took a little time, but that's expected since everything is made fresh--nothing excessive at all. One thing to note: refills are only for fountain drinks, not the lemonades or fruity drinks. With the discounts, the prices were definitely worth it. We ordered the Garlic Truffle Fries, Spicy Fries, Birria Eggroll, jalapeño coleslaw, and the Kroft Chicken Sandwich. Everything hit the spot. Garlic Truffle Fries: Perfect. Not overpowering--just the right balance. Spicy Fries: Not too spicy, still flavorful. Birria Eggroll: The surprise standout. Creative, delicious, and honestly I wanted more. Kroft Chicken Sandwich: Great crunch and flavor. Comes with sauce and coleslaw. The coleslaw itself has a spicy kick--good flavor, but the jalapeños weren't spicy at all. Decided to beat the heat and order delivery instead of cooking. Been to the Kroft fir lunch with coworkers but never ordered delivery. So here we are..the smash burger with fried egg sounded yummy and is..the birria egg rolls with dipping sauce instead of fries was much more pleasing than fries. I've been to the Kroft a few times now. It has always been good. With loads of places to choose from, I usually return here. The staff have always been good. And the seating is fairly decent. The Kroft is located in Anaheim Packing District and it has very limited private seating as well as a good amount of public seating. I got the poutine and, while it was good, I don't know that I'd recommend it. It needs way more gravy, and the gravy had a weird flavor...maybe green onions? Idk, it definitely wasn't bad but it wasn't the traditional brown gravy that I want in a poutine. The cheese curds were plentiful, but not very flavorful. And they were not squeaky! read more

Was craving a burger and heard about this place , so let's try it out. Service was awesome the guy at the counter was very friendly and helpful. I asked for recommendations and he was happy to assist. I ordered the double smash burger with cheese with a side of fries. I also ordered the BBQ loaded fries. Which are just fries topped with a smash burger patty and bbq. The smash burger was great. Very juicy and tasty. The fries were nice and crispy just like how I like them. I thought the loco moco poutine fries were really good! But the braised beef sandwich was lacking, felt really dry didn't really touch the second half of it because I didn't care for it. But maybe just in comparison to the fries with so much flavor and gravy. Came on a Thursday afternoon wasn't too busy but food took about 10-15 minutes. Since it's inside the packing house it's very busy and loud with other restaurants by and people constantly walking by. The seating is about 4 tables but you can take it to any seating inside or out. Located on the lower level of the Anaheim Packing District and more specifically, the Packing House, the Kroft is serving up comfort food with cultural flare. Menus are easily accessible through scanning their QR code or simply looking to the left of the ordering counter. A few community-type and standalone tables are within the Kroft designated space, but sometimes when a line forms, they be staring at you with hangry eyes. I prefer to sit in the Packing House common spaces... I need the elbow room. THE FOOD. - Loco Moco | This is under the Poutines Loaded Fries category, so expect fries instead of rice. Two wagyu beef patties, grilled onions, fried egg, brown gravy, cheese curds, fried onions, ketchup glaze, and green onions. You can share this dish or be selfish and pig out. I liked this dish, but ended up sharing because I honestly couldn't finish this on my own. Do yourself a favor and order a side of pineapple habanero ketchup! THE DRINK. - Cucumber Lemonade | Cucumber and zesty/sweet lemonade mixed together. It's a cool, refreshing drink to try out. I personally loved it! THE PARKING. There's a small lot at the north entrance of the Packing House, but you apparently have to get there obscenely early to snag one of those spots. Your best bet is finding parking around the intersection of East Santa Ana St. & South Claudina St. Parking was free when I went on a Saturday morning, but read those signs to make sure! COMING BACK? I've heard about this place quite a few times every time I'd tell a friend I've never tried poutine. Finally decided to give it a try when I saw there was one located in the Anaheim packing district! Parking is very hard to find for the Anaheim packing district so keep that in mind, but once you're able to get inside the actual building, it's such a pleasant space. Specifically for the Kroft, there was a long line but I didn't mind it too much. The menu was very interesting but overpriced. I got Braised beef poutine and hot Cheeto Mac & cheese after asking the cashier what was popular. It took about 20 mins which is long but I understood since it was so busy. We found a place to sit since the building had such cool vibes all around. Once I finally tried the food, I was pretty underwhelmed with both dishes. The fries in the poutine were soggy and there wasn't much flavor in the actual poutine. Maybe I should've tried a different flavor. Mac and cheese also lacked flavor unfortunately. I'm not sure I will be back but I will say the menu was very interesting and a cool concept. read more

We heard about the Anaheim Packing House while we were at a Logan O'Hoppe baseball camp in the area. We went in and looked around at all the different choices, and chose to eat at The Kroft. The service was great, super friendly employees. I tried the fried chicken sandwich with the jalapeño coleslaw. I feel like it was overall a decent sandwich, definitely big enough to share. I just feel like the chicken could have had a little more flavor. Maybe next time I would try it "extra spicy". Overall a great experience. The kids liked their chicken nugget kids meals. read more

Stopped by The Koft at Anaheim Packing House and had an awesome experience. Kenny was super helpful and friendly, took the time to explain the menu and made great recommendations. Tried the pb&j smash burger and it was so good! My heart will always be with The friendly in sd for the best smash burger in SoCal but the kroft is definitely up there in flavor. Ordered the Kroft Fried Chicken sandwich mild. It was good liked the jalapeño sauce on it it wasn't too spicy just the right amount. The chicken was juicy. Also got the Prochetta sandwich pesto was a bit too strong and some pork pieces were over cooked and burned. For both bread was toasted nicely. I have been to The Anaheim Packing District about a dozen times since it opened 10 years ago, but I hadn't eaten here at The Kroft, until now. I got wind of their 10 year anniversary BOGO entree deal for today, so we went and there was a long line of course. It's located downstairs and has its own little seating area. They have a good amount of menu items, with a limited time menu revolving around Birria. I really wanted to try the Birria egg roles, but they had sold out. I ended up going with the Porcheta, which was pork belly on a ciabatta roll. It was good, but after adding some of the jalapeno coleslaw side, it was so much better! It was kind'a small for the price, although it was free today. I tasted the Loco Moco loaded fries, and that was delicious and definitely worth the price! read more
