Prince Street is probably my favorite New York pizza in the area! I got the Fancy Prince and the Green Machine and I really liked both. I've had their regular pepperoni pizza at the West Hollywood location and it was good, but I did like these two better. The crust itself is really crunchy which is something I prefer when I eat pizza. Since I went on a day that wasn't very busy, the wait took less than 10 minutes. Although I didn't eat at the restaurant, there was a lot of space to sit and it was decorated very nicely!
I've been wanting to try Prince Street Pizza since it opened in Pasadena and I'm so happy I was able to finally try it. You can purchase a pizza by the slice or order the whole pizza. The pizza is on the pricier side, but I enjoyed it and full by one slice and a shared Caesar salad. You enter and choose your slice, order, and pay. Their service was great and I didn't wait too long as they heated up the slice. I wanted to try the Naughty Pie and it was so delicious. I enjoyed the crispy pepperonis and the hot honey! There were a few tables to sit and I got to enjoy the music and looking at all the photos on the walls. All in all, would definitely recommend for a snack or lunch after shopping in Pasadena!

One of the top places to get pizza in the 626, if I do say so myself. It's a smaller franchise so there's other locations out there, but this is the closest one to me, so if I'm ever in Pasadena and crave a slice of 'za, this is the place to go. It's one of my friend's favorite places too. Parking can be free if you're down to hunt for it, walk a bit, and mind the signs, but if anything there's always metered parking or the parking structures, many such Pasadena cases, but makes sense for the downtown area. My friends and I came here on a later Friday evening and there was no wait to walk up to the counter and order. Lots of historic pictures of celebrities who have dined there. Fun fact, NONE of the framed pictures and artwork (especially the largest one) are centered. If you're not too sure what to order, they have a lot of their pizza behind the glass for you to get an idea of what you're going to be feasting on. Most items come out quickly and decently hot, but for freshly made/assembled items like the garlic bread I ordered, it may take 10-15 minutes, but it comes out super hot and it's super worth it. Water is self serve and they also have condiments like Parmesan cheese, crushed red peppers, garlic powder, and other various spices. For my order, we got the: 1) Spicy Spring: -Rectangular cut pizza with Diavolo (one of the funniest Jojo villains to be honest) sauce, small cup pepperonis, fresh mozzarella, and Pecorino Romano. -I love pepperonis and they did not skimp out on how many goes on a slice. Crispy edges and salty perfection. Not super spicy, but has enough of a kick to make each bite addicting. 2) Sicilian Style Garlic Bread: -If you told me this was a sauceless cheese pizza I would have wholeheartedly believed you. Comes in a rectangle cut into 6 pieces. Super shareable and comes with your choice of sauce and I got the vodka sauce. -The worker in the cool goggle glasses recommended putting the crushed red peppers with the vodka sauce, and he was COOKING. Delicious and super garlicky and cheesy on it's own but the additional add-ons added a much needed extra kick to keep things lively. Word of warning, it is SUPER oily, but that's partially what makes a pizza so indulgently deliciously. Solid favorite of Pasadena and for pizza enjoyers.

The sauce was super. But while the crust was beautifully thin and looked like it would be perfect, it was oddly sweet, which put us off a bit. The spicy spring pie (pepperoni) had a thicker crust, almost like a focaccia. It wasn't oddly sweet like the margarita pizza, but it was just too bready. Again, the pepperoni and cheese and the sauce were really good, but the crust was the weak spot. Service was excellent. The only downside of the shop is that there were only a few tables and we had to wait until tables were available. Parking is plentiful on the street (meters) and in local public lots (also paid).
Been wanting to try this place and I enjoyed it! Got the Meat Lovers pie and the Classic Sicilian-Style Garlic Bread. The meat lovers pizza came with a TON of toppings. Their sauce had great flavor. The garlic bread had a nice amount of garlic and cheese on it. Everything was very heavy and greasy though so I can't see myself eating this all the time.
It's the marinara sauce they use...something special about it. The cheese the sauce fused together with the dough, charred, stays on the dough. With a solid base crust. Appreciate this experience, first time at Prince St., last great pizza I had was the Chicago Deep Dish at Lou Malnatis in around elk Grove village, IL. Is this place worth the trip? If you never tried it out for sure. But if you a have a solid local Italian Pizzeria or Brick Oven Pizza. They'll do the job equally well with a Margherita Pizza. Recommend: the Naughty Pie Vodka Sauce based with various layers of Cheese in a Detroit Style Pizza Square but has characteristics of a Chicago Pie with its deep thick sauce. Good night. I'm full.

No line on a Saturday midnight. The just reheat the slice you order, but would be much more amazing hotter and fresh. + The Naughty Pie ($7-8): not that spicy, great crispy edge but overall was just ok (6/10)
Some of the best pizza I've had! The crust is crispy! Sauce is amazing and has a little bit of kick. I got the spicy pepperoni flavor and it did not disappoint. I also love that they sell by the slice and the square shape was a nice touch. Very affordable too for a slice.
I saw this place in IG and thought to myself that I wanted to try the place when I was in the area. I was expecting NYC pizza good but the crust was too dense and not airy as I recall having in NY the last time I was there. We tried the beef pepperoni pizza and the OG plain cheese pizza. Their round pizza tastes like a Sbarro pizza I can get at the mall. They do have square pizzas that my friend enjoyed but I didn't partake. I'll have to try another time. You walk up and place your order and they'll call your number. There are street parking and parking lots in the area but you'll need to pay a couple of dollars to park. I'll come back and try a square pizza to see if it tastes better than their round pizzas.
I was not a huge fan of the pepperoni pizza. New York's location is so much better. The crust wasn't that great. The pepperoni didn't hit. It was just a disappointing pizza :/

I was introduced to Prince Street Pizza (PSP) through a work pizza party. OMG, after my very first delicious bite, I had to know where the pizza came from. I have never heard of PSP in Pasadena until now. I can't unknow it because their pizza is the BEST! I had to pay them a visit so here I am on a weekday. They had a good crowd of customers who had already ordered. I got lucky as I was the only person in line. I knew exactly which slices I wanted... one Vegan Square and one The Fancy Prince. I was also curious about the Green Machine. All other pizza flavors look so enticing, too. Kai, the lady who helped me with my order, was super friendly and hospitable. She offered me the Green Machine on the house so I can try it. Now that is a big beautiful welcome. Thank you so much Kai for the green treat! All 3 slices were SO DIVINE! Vegan Square has a thick, crispy Sicilian-style crust with creamy vegan cheese and their signature sweet marinara sauce... SO YUMMY! The Fancy Prince comes with a blend of fresh mozzarella, shredded mozzarella, ricotta, Pecorino Romano, and fresh garlic... this is my ABSOLUTE favorite! If you like savory, pesto-based vegetarian pizza topped with fresh mushrooms, garlic, smoked mozzarella, whipped ricotta, and Pecorino Romano, you must try the Green Machine... SO SAVORY! Please note each slice ranges from $6+ and up. As for the whole pie, it's around $30 to $40+ depending on flavor. Their specialty is PIZZA by the slice or pie, but they do have limited salads, sides, desserts, and drinks as well. Highly recommend this pizza joint! I'm coming back to try all their other pizza flavors slice by slice. I can't wait! See you here. read more

Honestly don't really get the hype here. Maybe it's just not my style of pizza. I got a slice of naughty pie and meat lovers. Toppings are good but the pizza itself is so doughy. It's all dough and crust. Good luck if you get a corner piece. Staff is friendly and I like this Pasadena location better than LA. read more

The customer service was amazing thank you for making my first day in Pasadena a very snacky success. They have a super extensive pizza menu with square pizzas, aka Detroit style, and New York style pizzas. They have spicy sauces and hot honey, and all these varieties to choose from...it's a little overwhelming, but the pizza taste really great. You can never go wrong with Prince St!! They are my go to quality pizza and they even added a slice I never seen before: Little Pizza Heaven 1000/10 no notes & their customer service on a busy Friday night was so good I was genuinely taken aback. Great pizza and lots of indoor seating located in a convenient part of Old Town Pasadena. Affordable, and you can order individual slices or whole pies as well as salads or pastas. We ordered three slices of individual square pizza. We got the exclusive seasonal flavor, which had some sort of vegetables and onions, and was very tasty. We also got the two most popular flavors, spicy spring and meat lovers. They were both super tasty and had a good thick chewy crust. The service was pretty fast, you order at the counter and get the slices reheated after around 8 minutes of waiting. The server was nice and recommended some slices to us. Definitely recommend, hearty and filling slice! read more

I used to absolutely love this place but their flavor has gotten very bland. Not enough sauce for every pizza, especially noticeable on my two favorite ones; Oakey Smokey and Spicy Vodka. I hate that they are selling the Oakey Smokey only as a whole pie too. Very unfortunate.. I don't know if they are using less sauce for their pizza now, but they gotta use more. The sauce to dough ratio is just not right. The customer service is still very nice, but one of them definitely need to start cleaning up the tables more often when customers leave. It is very messy every time I visit during lunch and even after the rush hour. read more
Solid pizza spot in downtown Pasadena. My snobby NY/NJ tastebuds approve :) The Margherita slice was nice and then with fresh basil on the too, and my cheese slice was nice and gooey and delicious. I polished off the crust as well! We walked in at 9 pm on a Sunday and there was still a pretty long line but workers served everyone as quickly as possible. read more

I got delivery and the pizza was really good. If you love NY style pizza you should be satisfied! I took off one star because it looks like two different pizzas were put together and they're different sizes. This presentation felt a bit lazy and unprofessional to me. Whenever I walk by Prince Street Pizza it's hard to pass by without grabbing a slice! I haven't had Prince Street in a while and decided to stop by this location in Old Town on a whim. The Spicy Vodka is a must-order and is a spice level 3 or 4 on a scale of 1-10. If you enjoy a good spicy vodka rigatoni, you would love this! Two new favorites we discovered were the Prince Perfection and the Oakey Smokey slice. The Prince Perfection looks plain but really highlights their amazing red sauce. The Oakey Smokey surprised me the most to be honest! Fresh out of the oven, it tasted distantly like a Neapolitan style Margherita pizza. You really can't go wrong with any of the pizzas though and the staff is great. They have a good amount of indoor seating and self-serve water. read more
When: Thur @8:15pm The one pizza spot that we missed during our NYC trip the other month. So naturally when we learned that there is one near us while visiting LA, we had to check it out! Huge difference with this one: it's not jammed packed with customers nor is there a line! There was just 2 others dining there when we went! The staff were super friendly and nice! We ate there assuming there would be leftovers like every pizza spot we've been to but to our surprise, we finished everything! It was that good! We love places that sell by the slice so we can try a range of pizza types/flavors: THE FANCY PRINCE - $6.25 Original Pizza Sauce, Fresh Mozzarella, Pecorino Romano, Fresh Basil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil. This is like the marg only better--FANCIER! I enjoyed its simplicity and the sweet after taste it has! Easily a winner. THE GREEN MACHINE - $6.25 Fresh Mushrooms, Garlic, Smoked Mozzarella, Whipped Ricotta, Pesto, Pecorino Cheese. This is for the garlic lovers cuz it sure is garlicky! I thought it was a bit bland overall but I wanted something with a white sauce instead of the usual kind. I loved that whipped ricotta though. THE NAUGHTY PIE - $7 Spicy Vodka Sauce (contains Prosciutto), Pepperoni, Fresh Mozzarella, Whipped Ricotta, Zab's Hot Honey. I love me a thick Sicilian-style pizza that is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. This too also had the amazing whipped ricotta that I love, and I loved the very subtle sweetness from the hot honey. Glad it wasn't spicy though! This is the style of pizza I really enjoyed this eating all the way through--including the crust! Overall the pizza was all great and my only slight feedback was that it may have been heated for a bit too long since the bottom area was almost black and the pizzas were pretty crispy. But you know what, we killed it all 100% so that's how good thier pizzas still are! I feel like I've completed my NYC trip! Thank you Prince Street for a yummy late dinner! read more

This was my first time trying prince street pizza after walking by it multiple times. The man at the front was super nice and even saw I was struggling to see the menu so he brought it down closer to me. They have bench, bar, and singular table seating. You order at the front and they warm up the pizza slices for you. The sunset square was my favorite. It was a perfect sweet and salty combination. read more

Hands down my go-to late night spot when I'm craving a yummy slice of pizza Prince Street does both thin crust and Sicilian squares, so there's really something for everyone depending on what you're in the mood for. I've only recently started coming here but I'm already hooked! The Fancy Prince is their thin, crispy round class pizza. Simple but so good. Then for the squares, the Naughty Pie is a must! Thick and fluffy Sicilian with a spicy vodka sauce that has just the right kick. The Meat Lovers is exactly what it sounds like: pepperoni, Italian sausage, pepperoni bacon bits, the works. And if you like a little sweet heat, the Houston Jalapeño deep dish with fra diavolo sauce, jalapeños, and hot honey is chef's kiss. Saturday nights get pretty packed since it's near the bars, but the energy inside is always lively and fun - not overwhelming. Street parking nearby is limited but you can usually find something if you circle around. Definitely coming back to work through the rest of the menu! read more

Typically, I don't seek my way to Prince Street Pizza since there are better pizza options. But when I'm right next to it? Different story entirely! Was able to come here twice, once to try the Naughty Pie and the second time to try The Best F*cking Pizza of All Time (more on this in a second). As usual with PSP, this pizza is super heavy...but also extremely delicious! If it's not a late night, one slice is honestly enough. More than one would be too much for me. Staff here are great! I actually came here initially to try The Best F*cking Pizza of All Time, but they had run out for the day. They were nice enough to just gift me a free slice (which I used on the Naughty Pie). Appreciate that a lot! I did end up coming back four days later for said The Best F*cking Pizza of All Time anyways. Overall, PSP as usual is solid in a pinch or a quick bite. read more

At this location, you can order pizza by the slice, or opt for whole pizzas, including smaller, 10" 'pizzettas' for some of the specialty offerings. We tried several items, including the Meat Lovers slice, the Spicy Spring Pizzetta, the Fancy Prince Pizzetta, and the Arancini. The Meat Lover's was a bit on the salty side, and the pizzas overall were slightly oily, but they did the job, after a long, busy day. The Arancini were a standout - crispy and flavorful. All in all, I would give them a 4.5/5. The employees were especially animated and friendly, adding to the lively, welcoming atmosphere. While it's a little on the pricier side, it's a decent pizza joint for grabbing a late-night slice when the craving hits. read more
Pizza!? Automatic 5 star!! I kid.. I kid.. but this place definitely hits the spot when you're in the mood for a cheesy pie. I love that there are Ariana Grande and pre-ozempic Lizzo slice options. Fountain drinks and bottled ones. And the employees here make this spot one of the best places to visit on Colorado Blvd. Seriously.. The musical vibe is 80s throw back with some hip hop. So of course, that meant that we were going to sit here for a while! They are open late. If you find street parking after 8pm, it's free. Otherwise, there are lots that charge typical Pasadena prices. read more

I finally checked out Prince Street Pizza in Old Town Pasadena after seeing it everywhere online. If you are into thick square slices with a crispy edge and lots of flavor, this place is worth a visit. It is casual, busy, and very pizza focused. ::Food:: The square slices are the star. Thick, crispy on the edges, and loaded with sauce and cheese. I personally liked the Spicy Spring the most. It has a good kick without being too much, and the flavors worked really well together. The pepperoni slice is also bold and filling, so one slice can actually be enough. ::Customer Service:: Staff was efficient and straightforward. Been to Prince Street Pizza before. The vibe inside is nice, with tons of celebrity photos on the walls that add to the experience. Service was friendly and patient, and they took time to explain things. Even the security guy was cool, which I appreciated. As for the pizza, it was just okay for me this time. The flavor was good, but I'm personally not a big fan of reheated slices. I was hoping for it to be a bit warmer with more crisp to it. It also felt a little on the pricey side. Pizzaaa! Whenever I'm craving pizza, this always hits the spot for me! I always come and get 4 slices of pizza and always need to have a slice before leaving because it's soo good when it warmed up. I phoned in an order for a Fancy Prince Pizza and a Spicy Spring Pie and arrived about 20 minutes later--the quoted time--but neither pie was ready. First, only one pizza came out, then after another 10-15 minutes they called my name and tried to hand me a single pie. Considering I'd paid close to $90, that was a hard no. To their credit, another staff member quickly stepped in, acknowledged the mix-up, and sorted it out--they'd accidentally labeled our Spicy Spring Pie with someone else's name. Crisis averted. Flavor-wise, the dough on both pies was good, but the sauce felt flat--missing some acidity and seasoning. I know this spot has a loyal following, but this visit didn't land for me. It was an okay change from our usual Prime Pizza, but not nearly as good and at close to double the price. It's a hard pass next time. The location in Old Town Pasadena is convenient but parking is typical for the area. Inside, there's plenty of seating, but the vibe is very standard--functional, not particularly warm or charming like classic NYC pizza joints.
