    Seared Ahi.
    Holly S.

This is the second time I have eaten here, and the good news is things are much better than the first time I stopped in shortly after they opened. It was my friends Birthday in a few days, and she had never been here and wanted to try it. We stopped in about 3pm, and we sat at the bar. The bartender was attentive and very nice. There was one cook we saw ......and the bartender, and it seemed they may have been dating, as they were really.... friendly. Seemed like the regulars all knew that. Cool for them but awkward for others. We ordered the seared Ahi appetizer and Shrimp Tacos. The Ahi was clearly frozen (I get that) but not properly thawed or cooked. The texture was off on the Ahi for sure. The shrimp tacos were better, but honestly I question worth the price... for two tacos and beans. TV's are ample . I still would go to Fini's, as it is further away but the vibe is SO different.

    Wave-o rancheros and breakfast tacos

We went for weekend brunch. It was completely empty, but after tasting the food, I'm surprised it's not busier! We ordered Wave-o rancheros, breakfast tacos, and a side of a waffle. Our waiter was very accommodating for our dietary preferences and feeding a toddler! The food was pretty tasty and would definitely return. Pricing is VERY affordable!

This place is such a neat spot! Wait staff was fun, restaurant was clean and the food was to die for. The views were picturesque! We came here with family while vacationing there. Head out to the dock and take some amazing photos of Yourself and/or loved ones! If you're lucky go around sunset! As the temps cool off, maybe even sit outside.

    Calamari and Fried Peppers

First timer here. We had a late lunch and was ready to go back for dinner later in the evening.. Cute little restaurant with a several tv's. Service was ok. We waited awhile (15 min) before we even got a drink. One guy working 5 tables and 1 bartender. In my mind, the bartender could have at least served us drinks instead of standing around. Their Cubano is one of the best. All the flavors compliment each other. The taste of char on my burger was a wonderful surprise. Calamari perfectly cooked and seasoned. Do not order if you can't handle spicy. It comes with Fried Jalepeno and caribe peppers. Wish the chips were warm but the salsa made up for it. Soo good. Wish I could say one dish was the star of the show, everything was absolutely delicious. Onion rings needed attention but they took care of it. Can't wait to go back. #supportlocal

Went to the speakeasy The Cabali located behind The Landing. Very cute ambiance, mixologist was awesome, service was quick and drinks were amazing. Will definitely go again. I had the Monsoon and was tasty. This gives Tiki Bar vibes.

Service was perfect! Very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. We were able to sit outside with our dog, watch the Sunday football game and enjoy some good food! Prickly pear Paloma was honestly one of the best Paloma's I've had! Very refreshing and the perfect amount of sweetness. The IPA was good, lighter than anticipated but in a good way. Coconut shrimp and sauce delicious, salad was also very delicious we split it so the image shows 1/2 salad order. And buffalo wings were meaty and cooked to perfection. They patio is awesome, lots of seating area with good amount of TV's if anyone wants to watch Sunday football on a more quiet environment, better service and good food.

Sayulita Taco with Charro Beans. So delicious to meet you!

The Landing continues to get better and better, and this visit was highlighted by 10-star service from Maddy. Maddy is always pleasant with a warm & genuine smile and, oh so friendly. We could just come in for a dose of her sunshine and cheerfulness alone. When we were trying to decide between sweet potato fries or standard, Maddy said, no worries, I can give you a half of each! Who does that? But the Sayulita and La Paz Tacos are phenomenal too. The Sayulita is my fave with blackened cod and pineapple pico. My bride loves the fried cod La Paz Taco (normally $6.50 and only $4 on happy hour). Choose either flour or corn with a side of Charro Beans. We have yet to try the seared and blackened Ahi Tuni salad, as it looks absolutely delicious. Maybe next time. By the way, if you aren't lucky enough to have Maddy serve you, don't worry. Gabe and Isaac are both people pleasers too with equally energetic and cheerful dispositions. Can't go wrong at The Landing in Oro Valley.

    The Med Salad
    Daniel A.

The Med Salad was excellent! A little light on the dressing or maybe they forgot it. However the salad was still great with the generous amount of hummus and dried tomato's. Enjoyed the large salad with a great mix of toppings that paired well with the crunchy pita chips on top. Very satisfied with this choice.

    Ensalada Picada - nicely done!

The staff were friendly and I really liked the atmosphere. The food was mediocre and overpriced.

Pretty good. Pretty good. Of the four of us who gathered to dine here last Friday, (late summer of…read more2026), three in our party raved about their meals, and had nothing but high-praise for the experience. We three, actually loved everything about AMELIAS. Us three (*let's just call them "the cool ones"), were wowed by the taste of our food and noted that the plate presentations were kinda cool-- and a little "more-fancy" than what is typically placed down upon the table at your typical Mexican food restaurants. AMELIAS adds a bit of "pizazz" and "decorum" to their menu items--like edible flowers that float in your margarita, or wavy lines of crema that dance on the seas of flavorful sauces that accompany the tamales, 'chiladas, and relleno plates served here. Three-forths of us also noted how attentive and friendly those who served us were. And... we (the cool ones) also all noticed how the warm, cheerful, and welcoming ambiance and decor of the place added to the enjoyment of our meal. (*Play Debbie-downer walk-up music) One in our group...(dramatic pause)... was notably quiet and reserved when it was her turn to rave about her dish. This person, smiled and shared that she thought her food was, "pretty good." But, now that I think about it...her praise was kinda limited, and she, indeed, was a bit reticent. I would find out later, as we lay in bed that night, that one in our group had not enjoyed her meal as much the other three had. Apparently, the cheese and chicken enchiladas dish that was ordered was not to this person's liking, and she added that she thought the service was "just okay". Not wanting to bring-down the mood of the evening, this person played along and didn't criticize. Now, I am not trained in psychology, but if feels like...(how do I put this delicately?)... okay. (*the writer thinks for a bit). Sometimes... when one in our party does not get to pick the restaurant that we are going to try, it seems to me... that...(dramatic pause as I try to find just the right words to say this).. I seems to me... that...This person is just, "not going to enjoy" the place that was picked, no matter how good it is. There! I said it. And while I'm on the subject... your mom is just like this too. And now you know the rest of my story. Let's summarize: AMELIAS is a very good restaurant and you will enjoy the heck out of your meal. Unless, of course, you insist on being the one who picks where your group goes out to eat-- and you don't get your way. Then, you will find it to be, "pretty good", but complain about it later in bed. (I know this is supposed to be a restaurant review, and not a mini-soap opera. But I hope you enjoyed our little dive into the psychology of relationships.) Until next time, this is the guy who will be sleeping on the couch for a night or two if my beloved happens to read this. (lol--she will find humor in this...and, of course, disagree with my "junior-psychologist" interpretation of why she thought Amelias was just okay. )

The food was creative while maintaining that fabulous fresh, handmade Mexican flavor profile. Absolutely delicious! Pricing landed somewhere in the $$ amount per person including beverage and appetizer. Very fair for the level of hand-crafting going into every dish. We didn't have a reservation (highly recommend getting one for busy times) and were happy to sit where they could fit us. Our server Louie was EXCELLENT. He walked us through the entire menu in 3 minutes and we felt confident ordering. He also suggested an amazing appetizer featuring chilies stuffed with cheese and shrimp and wrapped in bacon . I ordered the Fajitas Mixtas for my main as I wanted to try several meats. Hubby ordered the shrimp enchiladas with both green and red sauce. Both were beautiful and delicious. I also tried the mocktail that had prickly pear puree. It was delicious and refreshing. The menu had options available for folks seeking Gluten Free, too. Amelia's was decked out with modern, slightly edgy decor that was welcoming and exciting. Seating for wheelchair users could easily be accommodated by dining table chair removal. The Oracle Street location isn't huge, but the staff does a fantastic job getting folks in and you won't feel cramped. I could definitely see the place needing to expand due to popularity someday soon. Go and you won't regret it. This has made the list for returning to the next time we're in town!
