On this inaugural venture of the @OldPubClub Steve & Steve and the #Pubbettes decided to checkout @TheLandmarkNJ in #LivingstonNJ This building has been around since before 1882 as a former stagecoach stop and tavern. It has changed owners and names multiple times but has operated as the appropriately named "Landmark" since 1960. Our table had an assortment of tasty cocktails and some well prepared pub fare. The long wooden bar and high back booths really added to the old pub atmosphere. With one wall covered with pictures from past St. Patrick's Days, you got the feeling that that is the best day to be there. The service was quick and everyone was so friendly. There was a nice selection of beers and we loved the music. 4 thumbs up from the #OldPubClub #TheLandmark

    Old world pizza, so dry.

Delivery for old world pizza , burger and wings. Everything was ice cold, the pizza was thin as a cracker and just as dry. the wings were dried out. Burger ordered medium was definitely well done and also dry. Gave 2 stars only because I wonder if it was the drivers fault everything was ice cold.

I really wanted to try this local spot because my husband grew up in Livingston and used to be a regular hang out spot when he was in high school many ages ago.. and I heard about the place from other people so I just had to come by and try for myself! We ordered the Thai pizza, jalapeño popper, tater tots, calamari, landmark burger, and chef salad. Jalapeño peppers were by far the least crunchy jalapeno peppers I've ever had... like I expected it to have a crunch to them but nope. Tastes quite soggy and not the least spicy. Not sure what part of the Thai pizza was Thai but we enjoyed our pizza. It's thin crust just the way we like it and doesn't feel heavy at all. Tater tots - a bit better than the jalapeno peppers but still lack the crunch you expect from something deep fried. Calamari - crunchiest out of the appetizers we got and goes well with their dipping sauce. Would recommend ordering this to start. I really enjoyed my chef salad - quite the large portion and definitely filled me up. Landmark burger was huge and had to be shared but definitely juicy and solid. Might pair well with a beer! Overall great for a local hangout spot but if you are looking for food quality, probably not the spot to hit. I can see this place fill up during sport nights and a place for young adults to hang out over a drink or two.

I have lived in the of Livingston most of my life and last night was the first time I stopped at Landmark! It's a humble little gem in Livingston! It is a small little restaurant with a bar, with about 6 tvs all around it. It was a nice friendly atmosphere and a nice waitress. I got the landmark burger and it was delicious and juicy. Wings were excellent as well! We also got fish and chips but we were a little disappointed with it so I didn't get a photo lol fish does not seem super fresh abs not as meaty as I thought it would. Overall this was a very good experience and we will definitely be back for another visit!

Nef the manager went above and beyond to exceed our expectations. He was very friendly and accurate with the order. It appears that all of the customers like him and he is good at his job. Old World with sauce pizza was excellent.

Stopped here because it was literally the first place that my GPS suggested. What a great find! It's small inside, with dark wood and old dive-bar vibes. Don't get me wrong, I like that. It was not crowded so that was nice. The weather was horrific today, so I'm guessing that's why it wasn't that busy for lunch. There were 3 guys at the bar and I made 4. I got the French Onion Soup and the Landmark Burger. Didn't realize the burger didn't come with fries but that turned out to be okay cause that burger was delicious and quite filling. The soup was good too - very hot and tasty. I think the cheese was provolone and I do prefer swiss and/or gruyere -- but still, it was good. The bartender was friendly and refilled my diet coke several times. Glad I stopped here .. it was great!

With that being said the service we received here yesterday was outstanding and better than any five star restaurant. I cannot say how wonderful our waiter was.. I can't remember his name because let's face it. I had a few drinks because that's what it's about there. I believe it was. Giancarlo? So the manager if you see this, please let me know if that's correct or not. This kid was incredible. He was helpful without being overbearing. He was great with his beer knowledge, but we really sold me was when there was a table behind us that had a son with special needs at this young man treated that table with kindness and compassion and really we need more of that. To the owner of this business, I know that the wait staff gets a very minimal amount per hour because they depend on tips, but if there's anyway you can raise his base pay, I would love to see that we were only gonna have one drink each, but because of how he treated us we ended up having two for me and three for my husband, that young man is an investment

My bacon beef burger was juuust before medium, exactly how I wanted Great flavor, more guac than I thought as I ate through it. Good amount of fries, just need one recommendation: Dipping sauce plz. The appetizer of cheese curds was well stocked to satisfy my craving and came with the perfect dip. I get the feeling if we ate in-house, more dips would be provided on request. So that's bringing up to 4 stars. If I revisit in person, pray I alter it further. ;)

We walked in and sat at the near-empty bar and were soon greeted by the bartender (woman with long brown hair), who also provided us with menus. After a few minutes, she circled back, and we ordered two glasses of water. Just seconds after ordering the waters, we were asked for ID. Unfortunately, I left my ID in my jacket, which I didn't have with me at the time, so I explained this to the bartender. We were then told that we could not sit and eat without ID (which I have never heard of in any restaurant I've been to... EVER). I left without making a big deal of it since I was hungry from my drive. Stopped here again on Saturday, May 16th, around 9 PM to meet up with friends before leaving Bloomfield for the night. We were told we could sit where we liked and were quickly attended to by one of the servers upon entry. I ordered a water, and my friend ordered the Six Points Burger with fries. This time, we were not carded until we decided to order beer/drinks. Additionally, there was a child in there, no older than 12 years old, eating with a parent/caregiver on this evening- ultimately proving the whole 'you need an ID to eat here' thing false... What can I say about Six Points after these two experiences?... There's a lively crowd in the evening times, and food seems decent, and it's in a prime location on Bloomfield Ave... but it's quite evident that (at least) one of their bartenders is prejudiced and seems to have issues with people of color simply trying to sit and order food. *I called Six Points on May 18th and asked to speak with a manager regarding my experience. I left my number with one of the employees who answered, and he also told me I would receive a call back- sadly, that never happened. To clarify, the employee acknowledged that my experience on April 18 should not have occurred, as I should have been allowed to order food. Lesson learned: Just go to Egans or Just Jakes in Montclair instead of Six Points Pub.

But after I gave it another shot later, I realized they take online orders. The estimated time here does seem to be off though, as I showed up about 5 minutes before the ETA and it was already sitting around being less hot. So maybe estimate picking up even earlier than that. When I came, the place was packed, but it was a game night. The kitchen/pick up area is way in the back, but I will say, their hot pretzel is fantastic. The flavor itself is good and crunchy, but with the cheese sauce, it was truly delectable. It was just pure thick cheddary liquid goodness. It also came with a mustard if you're that sort, but just the combo of pretzel and cheese makes for such a good and quick snack. They also have a trivia night promotion, so I'm interested in checking that out, but for bar food (even to go) is pretty solid.

Everything in my previous review still stands - it's still an interesting hybrid of family restaurant, sport bar and lounge. Since my previous review I've had some of the food and it's as expected - average to a bit below average fitting for how I viewed the place before having food. I've managed to try a burger here and was disappointed. I asked for medium-well, it was beyond well done. Dry and not very well seasoned at that. The fries were unacceptable. Plentiful but I'm almost positive these are Ore-Ida frozen fries. The bar pie was also pretty sad. It's about 4 medium slices of thin crust pizza with average sauce flavor. It seemed a bit burnt. I also got a plate of buffalo wings to share with my buddies. Again average. It wouldn't be so bad but the prices are pretty high. All of the things I've tried were $15+ and they ranged from not good to average. The bartenders do put a lot of effort in interacting with you and do well keeping drinks going but the food and the experience is a bit dicey. The locals that frequent here are friendly and have resulted in conversations which help the experience here.
