    Cod Piccata

Supper at The Lanyard in Harwichport was delicious. We both ordered from the nightly specials: Tuna steak with an Asian soy-based glaze and Szechuan fried rice was amazing, the tuna was fresh, cooked perfectly, and so good. The glaze was tangy and even more would've been better. Cod piccata over linguine was maybe the best codfish preparation I've ever tasted. The sauce was light but plentiful and lemon forward. We dined at the bar which was bustling and festive. The 2 bartenders were friendly, attentive, and negotiated the big, busy bar with what looked like ease. Everyone seemed happy and appeared attended.

Over the top Harwich Port Burger, big yum

Awesome beer and drink menu and wide variety of food choices. Smoked chicken wings are outstanding. And the over the top (literally) grilled Harwich Port Burger was cooked perfectly with cheddar, chorizo, onion rings, and honey mustard BBQ sauce. Bake cod (for my healthier, wiser? friend) was fresh and tasty. (Minor gripe: adding a few bucks for using a credit card. Yeah, costs are rising, I get it, but haven't encountered this charge in a full-service restaurant)

Food, waitress, and inside dining was incredible! The teriyaki salmon with rice was to die for and the clam chowder was thick and creamy

Service was excellent and the menu was far reaching! We were sat and served quickly. I got the fish tacos and was very pleased.

Says they are wheelchair-accessible... any photos of the entrances available to confirm with?

Both entrances are wheelchair accessible however, I suggest using the front street-side entrance. Back entrance has two doors. Patio seating is accessible via the back and you don't have to go through those doors. There is a slightly downward…

It was a nice time to visit, relaxed and not too crowded. We ordered a Caesar salad, steak tips, fried seafood platter (fresh cod, scallops, and clams with fries and coleslaw), clam chowder, and a kids' grilled cheese. Overall, the fried seafood platter was the standout and definitely the best way to sample a bit of everything. The fish, scallops, and clams were all fresh and nicely fried, and the portion was generous. The steak tips were also solid, tender and well-seasoned. The clam chowder was decent, though not especially memorable. The kids' grilled cheese was a bit overdone on the outside and came out slightly burnt, but otherwise was fine for a simple kid's meal. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere had that classic Cape Cod waterfront feel that makes it an easy, casual dining spot. We did notice quite a few tables ordering the lobster roll, which we'll probably try next time we visit since it seemed to be one of the more popular items. Overall, Brax Landing Restaurant is a solid, casual seafood spot with good variety, worth a visit, especially for the fried seafood platter.

This is a solid option for seafood and American food in Harwich Port. My girlfriend's family all ordered a seafood dish (scallops, lobster roll, and seafood platter) but I opted for a hamburger as I am not a huge seafood fan (ironic in Cape Cod). I took a bite of some of the seafood dishes and objectively can say they were pretty good! I was a fan of my girlfriend's lobster roll. My burger was standard, but it also came with Canadian bacon which I have never seen before on a burger. It was a good addition. Fries were very good as well. Service was great. They also have waterfront dining outside. Definitely a solid option for seafood.
