It's a cute place, tastefully decorated in an English pub style. Service is pub style, more on that at the end. I got my standard pub meal of Fish and Chips, and they were good. The cut was a very thick cut of juicy cod, battered and deep-fried to a nice golden brown with some excellent crispy fries. The tartar sauce is a little odd, though. It's like an even mix of tartar sauce and cole slaw. It wasn't quite my thing, but we all have our tastes. My friend, Valerie W., got the Curry Chicken and she was pretty happy about it. All in all, it's pretty good all around. 4 stars. I Really Need To Get This Off My Chest: The fish, while very good, gets a soggy bottom, real fast. It needs to be served on some sort of absorbent paper to keep it crispy. Back in the day, those newspapers were used for a reason... The service style is English pub style, where you pick a table, look at the menu, and then get up and order at the bar. Drinks and food are then taken to your table by a food runner. Yeah, there are no servers here. What doesn't work for me is if I want another beer or some additional condiments, you have to get up and get it yourself at the bar. They're going for authenticity here, so I didn't take off points, but when I go out for dinner, I'm looking for service as well as good food. read more

This place is outstanding to say the least. Went with a group of friends and everyone raved about the exceptional quality of the food. I had the fish and chips, it was the biggest and best piece of cod I have had since living in Ohio. The breading has a wonderful flavor and is light in texture. This pops up a lot when searching Yelp so we finally gave it a try. I ordered the Shepard's Pie. This happened to be my second Shepard's Pie in two weeks. The other was in Columbus. It was made with shredded meat and lots of gravy. The Last Queen makes theirs with hamburger type meat. It tasted good but the other one spoiled me. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. That worked out okay but I prefer a server. The restaurant was clean and cool and busy. It was way too hot to eat outside. You have to park up the block. I would stop again if I were in the area but wouldn't make a special trip. read more

You get a table. Look at the menu, go to the bar and order your food. Make sure you look at the wooden spoon at your table to know your table number. They bring out your food in a reasonable time. Not a lot of interaction just efficient. We order true English dinner. Wife had fish and chips. Huge piece of fish. Loved the fries. I had the Bangers. They were a little dry, but still good. But here is my warning . That mustard they bring you. IT IS FULL OF HORSERADISH. WASBI LEVEL. I didn't realize that before dipping my sausage bite and popping it into my mouth. Got a full blast of flavor. Made sure the next dip was conservative. So if you want a English Pub experience and have people with you who want traditional American hamburger experience. Incredible gem of a restaurant in Enon. We began with the grilling cheese, which was absolutely on point. And the barbecue dipping sauce was rock solid. I had the fish and chips and the fish was fresh, flaky and full of flavor but the key was the breading. Not so much to overpower the fish like some places and the homemade tartar sauce. Awesome. My wife had the chuggy burger and it was delightful. After a fabulous dinner we didn't think it could get any better and then we ordered the sticky toffee pudding and our lives were forever changed. Pub was crowded for a late Saturday afternoon, but the owner helped us find a seat. The three of us tried different items. Son had the fish & chips, and even though I don't like seafood, I tried it and it was delicious. I had the Bangers & Mash, did not disappoint. Wife had the Chicken Pot Pie and loved it. We started with the Fried Halloumi (mind blown)! This is a local cheese that is lightly breaded and fried. If you are a fan of a slightly strong, salty tasting cheese (yes please!), then you better not pass this up. My mother-in-law is British and she can't wait to go and try them out. The have a "full English" and "half English", a breakfast sandwich and a few varities of truly monstrous pancakes thicer than your fork. Parking is tough, there's only a few spots out front, and in back, but you can park in the lot across the street at the library after hours or on Sundays, as well as the offical pub lot across the street a few doors down next to the barber shop. The staff are absolute dolls, Adrian the owner is the best. Food amazing. They have a monthly afternoon tea, as well as starting to do a monthly Sunday roast. Very unexpected cute English pub in tiny Enon Ohio. We were driving and had business to do so didnt try any of the beers. You go in seat yourself... menus are on the table. When u decide go up to the bar and order. If you can't find parking in front ... park across the street at the library or in the back. There are around 6 tables inside plus the counter seating at the bar and a huge table in the back. Hubby tried the blt with apple smoked bacon and a bit of goat cheese..perhaps didnt have mayo. We both thought it was nice. I had the vegetarian fried cheese sandwich ..it had slaw and grilled onions on it. Bit messy but very good. I had to make a road trip over to Pickerington, Ohio and on my return home I found this pub in Enon, Ohio. It was worth the jump off of the interstate. I arrived there at 11:15 on a Saturday and found when I entered that they were still serving breakfast until 11:30 and that they did not start to prepare lunch until 11:45. I really wasn't interested in breakfast so I waited. Someone greeted me at the door and told me that to order I would walk up to the bar and place my order and then someone would bring it to me when it was ready. So I sat and perused the menu until it was time to order lunch. When I ordered my shepherd's pie she reminded me that they would not start cooking until 11:45. I also ordered a cocktail, Pimms Cup. Of course I had to order the sticky toffee pudding as well. The bartender told me she would kind of keep an eye on me and order my sticky toffee pudding when I was nearly done with my meal. She kept her word. She brought me my cocktail and this was the first time ever having Pimms Cup. I had read about it and always wanted to try it and this was my first opportunity to do so. I would call it a light, refreshing summer cocktail that would be best enjoyed on the porch. It was very good and the presentation was beautiful. So I also hate to say being from the Midwest that I have never had shepherd's pie but I haven't and also never had sticky pudding. So it was a day of firsts. Which is pretty exciting if you ask me. When I ordered the shepherd's pie she asked if I wanted cheese on it and I did. They brought it out to the table at about noon and it was beautifully presented as well. Very tasty dish, it had both lamb and beef along with carrots and peas with a beautiful mashed potato and cheese topping. They served a couple of pieces of crunchy bread on the side. Lastly was the sticky toffee pudding. I'm not sure what I was expecting but this was not it, I did not know that it would be more cake like with a sauce and ice cream on the side. Although I could have used a little more sauce it was good as well. I would say if you see the sign for Enon, Ohio to go ahead and jump off the interstate to try this pub out. Holy hidden gem!! Visiting my parents in yellow springs and wanted a relaxing lunch spot to meet a friend. We were both blown away! I haven't enjoyed a new place to this degree in AGES!! It was quaint, friendly and delicious! We sat at the bar- and the bartenders were AWESOME! The wait staff and bar staff had such fun banter and we jumped right in! It was such a fun Saturday vibe! The beer and booze selection was impressive! The charcuterie plate was a lovely little nibble to start! I loved the jam! We split a burger and the fish and chips. Outstanding! The fish was perfectly fried- crisp but light! The bacon burger was juicy and salty-perfection! I mean, the way you order it just like in jolly ole England (you look at the menu go up to the bar, order, pay and tell them your table number), I love it, no waiting around for your bill, it's all paid for upfront. See I told you Brilliant. Thank you for having vinegar at the table to put on the chips and your tartar sauce is delicious. And your chips are better than UK chips, thus making it a gastropub. And all their stuff is local from some very swanky and 1st class stellar vendors. We had fish and chips and it was very filling and incredible, the dishes even reminded us of our own at home. The fish didn't fall apart when you cut into, which is nice for dipping purposes and the taste was splendid to say the least. Living in the UK for 3 years, it's for sure top notch and brought us back to the motherland we love so much. With our frequent glimpses of shepherds pie and burgers going by, it was very clear we need to comeback, plus the service was great and friendly. They make it feel like your own local English pub down the street on the corner. Sticky toffee pudding is amazing and the ice cream as well comes from a local dairy, so good. Everything about the Last Queen we enjoyed, there is plenty of outdoor seating when it's warm and a fire pit as well. Parking can be tough, but they have made it as easy as possible for us customers, just read the signs and yes they have 2 EV parking spaces. The owners are so welcoming and have done a great job, you'll love it and they do have footy (soccer) on the tele Saturdays and Sundays and I'm sure during champion league match days. An absolute gem! On a cross-country road trip, I stopped for the night in nearby Springfield. I was going to have a microwaved hot dog and some potato salad in the room, but decided instead to go out foraging. I was shocked, in the best possible way, to find this charming gastro pub. This was a nice quiet little spot with welcoming staff. I had to try the staple fish and chips. I am glad that I ordered one filet because the serving was huge! It was super tasty.
