My Family and I went there today for lunch. First of all, let me say, nice presentation and English Pub vibe. Unfortunately, other than the shepherds pie, none of us were very impressed with our Fish & Chips (3 orders). The batter was tasteless, on top of what was good fish. The kids had the Children's Charcuterie, and Mac & Cheese. Neither liked either, and probably for good reason. The children's charcuterie may have been a decent idea, but poorly executed. Not many kids eat Rosemary & whole wheat crackers, and cheese curds. That one reverted to a few of Mom's fries. The other one who loves Mac & cheese, took one bite and immediately said he didn't like them. All the adults at the table tried it as well, and frankly all agreed they were the worse they had ever had. Noodles that tasted like they were boiled with the cheese, so slightly cheese flavored, boiled noodles. I am happy that the staff asked upon bussing our table how we enjoyed everything. We didn't bother getting into the fish & chips issue, but advised about the poor Mac & Cheese. Since we had already paid when we ordered at the bar as instructed, we didn't have much recourse for a refund on those, so kindly the sever offered to make it up with a desert. The Mom was happy to accept, and she ordered the sticky toffee pudding to go. 20 minutes later and still waiting, we decided to leave. Unfortunately we had to walk by the bar, and our serve asked if we received the desert. Of course since she had not delivered it, I was surprised she even acted surprised. She piped up the kitchen was still putting it together and it would just be another moment. So we all waited, 4 adults and a 4 & 6 year old, 10 more minutes on the benches at the front door. We finally decided to leave again, just as the desert was finally delivered. Here is wait we waited 30 minutes for since our first complaint. Left us feeling like we weren't important, and lied to about the kitchen slaving away on our desert. Ridiculous, overpriced, and quite frankly not worth the $165 we spent for the poor food and service. We won't be back, and we are locals. read more

Have to confess I've kind of always made fun of the idea of "British food." If you are hanging your hat on fish & chips, bubble & squeak and a limp bacon English breakfast, then feels like you could be in some cuisine trouble! This place really got me thinking about my bias! I feel now like it is food served with grace, tradition and efficiency. Of course we had the fish and chips, found the fish to be super fresh. Also had the chicken pot pie which was a yummy hug. Had a generous side salad which we shared. Mixed lettuce was fresh and crunchy, perfectly accompanied by the house which seemed to be a creamy balsamic. Had the olive smash app which was what you'd expect and also needed more crackers or some toasted bread to bring it up to great. The Pimm's Cup was flavorful and not over done with fruit. All that plus a t-shirt for about $100 makes this place a keeper when we are traveling through OH - super easy on/off route 70. Busy though, we waited 20 minutes at 5:30 on a Friday but well worth it. read more

Parking is a little tricky, but worth the small walk. Fantastic atmosphere staff is friendly, and Adrian who owns the place with his wife is out and about and will answer any questions you have. The Last Queen is British traditional, Adrian is from England, done fantastically using local sourced ingredient and food producers from Ohio, Bellefoutain to Cincinnati. First time I have had Colman's mustard, I'm going to have to find it for the house. Richelle had fish and chips I had the bangers and mash, they are both wonderful, you can taste the love and pride. First time for Hartzler ice cream, top notch. Sticky toffee pudding is not to be avoided. Wonderfully refreshing place, with good food. read more

My wife and I went here for lunch last Saturday. I had the Bangers and Mash. I found the mashed potatoes and gravy to be bland. Sausage was good. You order at the counter. The server was good about getting what we needed. It's nice inside but noisy. We didn't sit outside due to the humidity. read more

Owner was very friendly.....we were in a large truck pulling a trailer...he saw us driving around looking for parking....he walked and directed us to another parcel he owns just a couple of lots away where we could park. The cheese sticks were perfect. It's a bit small, but didn't wait long for a table. Atmosphere is neat and reminiscent of British style. Rhwy played scenes of the home land and also soccer games on their big screens. They have candy at the bar from there also, definitely a nice touch. It did take a while for the waitress to get our order. It was busy. I didn't specifically like the table as it was in the line of where people line up to pay, so we had people looming over our table often. I tried the curry chicken. It was spicier than I thought, but I believe it was how it was supposed to be, great flavor. Really Bosworth the try. The parking is minimum, but they have a sign directing down the street a bit with designated spots which was nice. It didn't leave us driving around to figure it out. The bathrooms are clean and the gentleman who checked on us was very pleasant with a British accent. Overall a good experience. Truly, a fun and interesting restaurant. The decor is worth walking around the restaurant and perusing. The menu offerings are great, in particular to English food and what not. The beer list is stupendous + you get an actual full pint not 4 ounces of foam on the top. The staff is very friendly and engaging. The exterior grounds are well kept. I highly recommend checking this place out because you're not going to find another place like it even if you travel through several states. I did not love that the neighboring table ordered fish and the oil fryer smelt so bad like "automist" company cleaning. Not sure if you're familiar with automist. The husband and I have "Adventure Saturdays".. and we google theme restaurants, quaint pubs, gastropubs etc. Then explore the towns they're in. Well this weekend we visited The Last Queen. I have to say this was the most fun Gastropub we visited so far. I loved the British theme and the food was excellent. We opted for the full English breakfast this time with a dark and stormy cocktail and espresso martini. They have set the bar high for friendliness of staff, quality of food & beverage and atmosphere. We are planning to return next month to try out the lunch menu. I do believe fish and chips, shepherd pie and some Ales are in our future! read more

Wow! This place was amazing! We started with appetizers and desserts, then moved onto the main dishes. Everything was amazing. The service and staff were stellar also! The Charcuterie, Fried Halloumi (one of the best cheese sticks ever), The Regal Hen, and Olive Mash w/Crackers were phenomenal. What a great find! As a frequent traveler to the UK I felt right at home here with the authentic atmosphere. Great beers on draft including several British favorites. What a great and unique spot to have in Enon, Ohio. I enjoyed the Haloumi burger-like a fried cheesestick sandwich. The spiced nuts were also a tasty little appetizer, though not what I would describe as spicy, but rather sprinkled with seasoning. It definitely has the feel of a tiny pub There are mismatched dining tables arranged very close to each other in the dining room and that leaves very little elbow room. I'm sure the patio is nice during warmer months, but we came during a chilly November evening and the 4 tables filled up quickly. They have two smaller tvs located near the bar, a larger wall tv that streams travel landscapes, and then a jumbo tv above the mantle that wasn't on, which was a shame. The food arrived quickly and included a grilled cheese, the veggie burger (basically another grilled cheese) and the BGLT. It was all good, heading towards great. The parking is a little curious. The attached parking is 2 regular spots, 2 EV charging spots, and a Handicap spot. Across the street is the library-which they don't advertise as parking, but at 8pm on a Saturday in Enon, I don't know that you CAN'T park there, and then there is additional parking a little walk down the street. I'm curious to make a trip back for the Full English Breakfast available on the weekends. I do hope this trendy spot continues to thrive in this small town known for "Finally getting a Subway!" and more pizza places than any other village. Well, this place might be too good for this quaint little town. Noticed this spot when I visited for the Apple Butter Festival and finally made my way here over Thanksgiving weekend. The Last Queen is Enon's very own British Pub complete with English, Irish, and Scottish Ales, Malt Whiskeys, and all the requisite British fare. The menu includes Fish and Chips, Shepherd's Pie, Bangers and Mash, and even a Full English Breakfast if you can pop in before noon on the weekends. The menu has plenty of vegetarian options and boasts many locally sourced items. On my last visit I enjoyed a simple grilled cheese while my mates tried the veggie burger and the BGLT. All were pleased with their meals and we even got to enjoy a spot of tea, and tried the not-so-spicy spicy nuts. My understanding is that this is truly a British-owned pub and it really has that pub atmosphere with stone walls and TV's for enjoying futbol. There is a small lot with EV charging station as well as an overflow lot a short walk from the door. The Last Queen has a nice little patio, but I'm guessing space is going to feel a bit tight during those cold winter nights. read more

This is a kind of the out of the way spot. Enon, Ohio. As a Cincinnatian I can say this is pretty far out of my normal dining area. It was so good though. I'm not really British, though I was born there and lived there for 8 years, but I have an affinity for British food/drink. This is the best fish and chips I've had in Ohio. Hands down. Not even close. The chicken curry was equally as good. Everybody was so friendly. It's weird having to order at the bar, but not a big deal. This is probably the most authentic British pub in southern Ohio and it's worth the trip. read more

We found this restaurant accidentally when driving from St Louis to Rochester NY. It was amazing! Total British pub atmosphere complete with unmatched chairs and scarred wooden tables. The staff was extremely engaged. My husband had Shepherd's Pie so I had Bangers and Mash. All delicious! I wanted to have sticky toffee pudding but the portions were enormous! This is my husband and I's secret spot! We have been here 4 times now and we still haven't brought our children, because they would insist on coming with us every time! We love the Indian dishes that they include throughout their English fare. They have a great atmosphere, the curry is really good (it comes with rice, naan, papadam, and mango chutney). We also have had the nuts, olive spread, and the charcuterie. Everything we have gotten has been really good. They also have a great selection of beers on draft, with lots of variety. Fish was almost tasteless! Very little seasoning that we could taste and also a bit greasy. Prices seem high. You have to order and pay at the bar. They do bring your food to your table. You need to know your table number when you order...it's on a large spoon on your table! So get your table before you order! The 2 people working at the bar were not very friendly or helpful. Both seem to be inconvenienced and annoyed at us because we were confused how to order and how to pay. However, the servers delivering the food to our table were very helpful and super friendly. Parking is terrible or should I say almost non-existent. There are a few next to the restaurant and a few in front but their parking lot is across the street in the next block. It didn't help that snow was piled on the side of the roads preventing street parking. The inside seating is limited. It looks they have more outdoor seating but of course most of that is closed due to the cold. There was a patio that was sealed in with plastic that was being used while we were there. The door was left open which caused a constant flow of cold air. I probably won't be back. I had high hopes for this restaurant but I was disappointed. read more

I'm only giving the Last Queen three stars because nowhere on the menu does it say only one dish is served until 12:00 pm. We came here on a Saturday after 11:00 am, excited to get an English-themed meal. However, we had no choice but to order the Full English Breakfast (not our 1st choice). I will say it was packed full of flavor.... but a bit too heavy for me. My boyfriend and I both ended up eating half our plates of food. The staff was friendly and the decor is fit the theme well - so if when we're back near Yellow Springs I'm sure we'll stop in again. read more

Spotted this place on Google maps on the same day we were beginning to plan a trip to England. Just off the interstate, it was convenient to drive to and easy to find. It's small and adorable. Friendly and attentive staff. We started with the Olive mash, which was refreshing and lite. We loved everything we tried. Bangers & Mash was delicious with the mustard and piping hot beans. For dessert we ordered the sticky toffee pudding. It was served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The pudding was served hot and began to melt the ice cream in the best way! Sooo good! A great pub outside of Beavercreek. The owners are amazing and considers where his produce and veggies come from. The staff are super friendly and polite. There is outdoor seating. A nice choice of beer, whiskey and wine selection. I had the fish and chips. It was super moist and crunchy and the chips were very good too. I would get it again. The spicy hummus was also good. The bread with that was amazing. Btw, their sticky toffee pudding is amazing. We gobbled it before I got a chance to take a picture. A must order. It's a bit of a drive but it's worth it. What a WONDERFUL new addition to teeny, tiny "downtown" Enon!!! Anyplace double or triple the size would be happy to be the home of this amazing, imported gem!! You might miss it if you blink (it's right across the street from the library) but DON'T miss it!! Pass through their beautiful entry and find a seat, check out the menu at the table, and place your order at the bar. BUSY, but not too crazy on a recent Tuesday evening. My dining companions ordered a grilled cheese sandwich platter and the shepherd's pie, both of which they gave positive reviews, and I got the weekday special, curried chicken, which good but just a bit too salty. There are great choices for apps/lighter meals, along with burgers, and some wonderfully tempting British pub standards (fish and chips, bangers and mash, and even a full English breakfast available weekends!) There are several veggie choices as well.. Definitely something for just about everyone!! My work partner and myself decided to drive from Springfield while on a work trip and we were not disappointed. We sat at the bar and the ladies tending the bar were fantastic. Very friendly, informative and knew the product they served very well. They were able to make recommendations on food and drinks which we readily accepted. From the appetizers, fried cheese and chicken which both were great to the main course, Bangers and Mash to the salads, all were fantastic. The restaurant itself was very clean, laid out very well with outside seating as well, and had a great feel which made one very comfortable. It is well worth the time to go here, you will not be disappointed. read more
