I had the pleasure of stopping by on a Sunday afternoon. We ordered a hazy ipa from the beer tap, a western burger with tots, and some loaded stand tots. These were the best tater tots I've had and the burger was juicy and seasoned well. The tots weren't greasy and the crunch of them was absolutely superior. I love how the set up is and there are options for indoor seating if that is something you prefer. The flat screens in front of the standing bar area is really nice and you can enjoy watching sports. Coco took care of us and provided amazing service. Definitely give the loaded tots a try if you haven't tried already. It was also interesting to learn about how this is the last standing bar (hence the name) and a historical landmark.

A traditional hamburger joint where the locals meet and toss a couple back. They have a nice sized menu with something for everyone who is in search of some good ol' americana. We have been here a couple of times now and the building is a landmark for how to get to our home (if you go past the last stand, you have gone too far!!) There seems to be a healthy crowd of regulars and they all know one another and aren't afraid to say hello to us newbies. The service was friendly and the beer was cold. The foot was pretty good and again I like the options. I also like that there is a large outside patio to take the dogs and an inside space as well. Typical price point with some specials that get posted daily and shown on facebook as well. I appreciate the local spot and will be back.

If your looking for a good burger, here it is! All burgers served medium with shoestring fries, lettuce onions pickles and tomatoes. You can upgrade your fries to curly, sweet potato or steak fries or onion rings for $2. I got the bacon cheeseburger with onion rings, they give you a lot of rings too. The service was great and it was pretty busy. Definitely a locals choice! Lots of space inside and outside. My burger was juicy and the onion rings crisp! They have beer on tap and in bottles. I am looking forward to coming back to try the chili dog. Oh and BONUS...the give you a six pack of condiments! Chilled even. Its mayo, ketchup, mustard, BBQ sauce, ranch and a spicy burger sauce. No more asking for sides of ranch over and over. Also no tax, its all included so the price is what you pay. Love it!!!

What an surprisinglyamazing take out meal. We got the western burger, cheese burger and homemade chili. My son said his burger was so delicious. They ran out of fries, so we got the most crispiest tater tots. I'd go just for the crispy tater tots. My chili was really tasty - came with a little cup of purple onions and cheddar. I would def eat here again.

I've always loved the burgers at the Last Stand in Willows. The burgers are hot, the beer is cold and the staff is friendly. People can stand up or sit down outside and drink beer and smoke! I look at Facebook for their specials and periodic music or events!

One of the best burgers I've had. The double cheeseburger was done in a smash burger style and the patties were juicy. The burger was definitely very hefty with the crunchy pickles, tomatoes, and lettuce they add. To top it all off, I enjoyed the option to get tater tots instead of fries. Probably my own taste preference, but the patties could use a bit of extra salt to bring up the beefy savory umami. If I go again, will see if that could be done. Total came out to be about $20 after tip and tax

Stopped in for lunch and noticed they had a special on their tri-tip sandwich, so I gave it a try. I ordered it with a side of tots, which had a great crunch and a soft center--just needed a touch more salt. Overall, pretty good. The sandwich had potential but fell short on flavor. It came with pepper jack cheese and grilled onions, which was a nice touch, but the meat itself was under-seasoned. With better seasoning, that sandwich could be a real standout. Portion size was generous, and the staff was friendly and welcoming.

So I am from southern Cali, the Los Angeles area, came out to thunderhill raceway park for a weekend drifting class. I was here on my last day, Sunday night, and after class today I went back to my motel room and fell asleep. I woke up about 10:45pm and was hungry as hell. I yelped some places and I saw The Last Stand was still open till midnight and so when I went about 11pm, they were closed. I was not happy...it would be convenient for restaurants to display their actual opening and closing times. I was really excited to try the food here and had a major craving for some mozzarella sticks. This is not my first time that I have gone to a restaurant and they were closed when the hours on Yelp said they were still open for another hour. read more

Perfect burgers. Juicy, big, and well seasoned. Try the house sauce on them (similar to Russian or Thousand Island dressing). I like the curly fries too. My daughter liked the fish and chips. Service was a little slow but I'm willing to wait for great food. read more

I have been going to the stand since before I was in school. Ive seen it through several name changes. My dad has been going since before I was born. My dad has recently been accused of harassing one of the female bartenders. My dad doesnt do things like that. He is a father/granddaughter of 5 girls. He has always raised us to stick up for ourselves and not allow ourselves to be treated in any sort of ill manner. The bartender is Tayler Smith, and she thinks she can run a false smear campaign against my father on facebook. My dad has been friends with the current owners/management for as long as I can remember and they have basically turned their backs on my dad, saying they think its a good idea for him not to come anymore. So 30 or so years of friendship and business mean nothing when some girl who moved into town, who is also a person who constantly plays the victim, lies and says my dad is sexually harassing her. This same girl has targeted my dad with a smear campaign before, and apparently, she didn't get the attention from that she wanted, so now, she has done this. It is completely shameful on many levels: to lie and to falsely accuse someone of something this vile in a town where rumors already run rampantThey just lost a lot of business between my dad and all of us kids who enjoy lunch at the stand. If you are an older man, make sure when Tayler is working you don't use your phone or you will find yourself being accused of sexual harassment as well. Shame on her and shame on the Yoders. read more

Didn't get to eat here because the kitchen was closed. It was 6:00 pm on a Saturday night. How does that happen? Wonderful, kind, helpful people behind the bar gave suggestions regarding where else an out of towner could go for a quick bite. What we saw: A stand up bar, a few tables with locals enjoying beverages and each others company. Music was rocking out. It was an older crowd of happy, harmless, hard working locals having a nice time. Sad we didn't get to join in. read more

Best way to know where to eat is where the parking lots are always full. This is probably the best place to eat in willows. I Had the bacon cheeseburger, and the homemade delicious potato salad, all of which was amazing. Friendly locals, friendly employees, good prices, beer options, dog friendly out door patio with a water bucket for the dogs. Definitely going to be my new stopping place when traveling through. read more

The best burgers and tater tots around. We aren't into hanging out and drinking beer but it looks like a fun place and they are nice about letting us call in and pick up an order. There are televisions and pool tables and lots of nice people with burgers and fries bar food menus. read more

I can't tell you how much I love this place.... it never gets old! So fun and friendly, I always leave feeling like family . This little spot was an unexpected dining pleasure resulting from the recommendation of another customer when I pulled off the freeway to refuel the car. Its incredibly humble appearance caused me brief hesitation but this was short-lived. The place was surrounded with vehicles and seemed to be doing to a good business. I am so glad I gave it a try and had an awesome bacon cheeseburger. Since I was driving, I did not order a draft beer with my burger. Oh, and the fries that accompanied my burger we're perfectly cooked. A very pleasant experience in all! read more

Go thru Willows once a month but never there around meal time until a couple days ago. Stopped for lunch. Love the outdoor bar/stand area and if it wasn't 48° and rainy I would have sat out and had a few beers. My wife and I ordered a double cheese burger and curly fries to go that we were going to share.. When I ordered I said that we were going to share it and he asked if we wanted him to cut it in half and put it in separate containers!! That's the kind of simple customer service that speaks volumes about what kind of place this is. Most places would not even think to ask to split it into 2 plates. Service is great and the burger and fries had great flavor.. The only negative and the reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that when we got the burger it was very greasy, so greasy that the bottom bun was completely saturated. A good greasy burger is usually good but this was too much..... Still ate all of it :) read more

After reading such positive reviews we decided to stop and give it a try. Ordered the hamburger, chili dog, and onion rings. The only good item was the onion rings. Chili dogs were loaded with out of the can tasting, very dry, chili. Hamburger was just OK, kind of greasy. Should have waited to stop at any number of fast food places along the interstate. read more

Probably The best burger joint I've ever been to. Awesome atmosphere, amazing food. I got the cheese burger with jalapeños and grilled onions and the fried zucchini. Best fried zucchini I've ever had. We come out here to race and stopped at this place on the way home. From now on this will be our go to place after we leave the track. You don't find real burger joints like this anymore. Way better than any chain restraunt, hands down. read more

This is from our visit on July 4. Thank you Yelp for leading us to a local gem. Traveling up I5, there are the typical fast food places close to the freeway. Wanting something different, we turned to Yelp. The Last Stand is about ten blocks east of the freeway and well worth the detour. A good old style burger, toys and a salad was just what we wanted. So, take the few extra minutes to get away from the ordinary and enjoy something good for a change. read more

Come into ECF quite often and notice every customer that walks in is greeted with a smile and immediate service if available. Food is reasonably priced and never sits in the window for long. Highly recommend to give it a try! Great environment for all ages! read more

I ordered the chicken wrap on the recommendation of the waitress. I waited 15-20 minutes for the order but let me tell you it was worth the wait! It tasted awesome! Large portion with lots of favor & veggies. Choice of different sauces to pick from, I got the spicy hot sauce so good! History

Established in 1920.

In the 1920's Fred Rabbitt opened "Rabbitt's" located kitty-corner from it's current location. Rabbitt's - a gas statin/pub was a place where one could fill their tank with gas and belly with beer. In July 1961, the business relocated to its current location on Tehama St. Then owned by Charlie Carroll and Eddie Chapman. It was renamed to "Chappies" for the next several decades, changing ownership and names only few times. "Porky's, & "Culp's Bar & Grill. In 2000, The name changed to "The Last Stand Bar & Grill". Named for its originality and signature only indoor/outdoor Bar & Grill in California.

There's a little section on the way to the bathroom that has this beautiful tree with lights when I looked close enough there was a little monkey hanging on one of the tree branch . Then they have the other area once you first come in that it's near the bar overlooking the outside with the big windows . Last but not least you cannot forget about the massive patio with its own huge bar with a massive TV in the middle. It's just a very great space. The food was really delicious. Their menu is pretty massive. I was trying to decide what to pick.. I went with a Rancher burger cooked to my liking which was so perfect for me . I upgraded to the black truffle fries . For drinks my favorite was the lavender one so refreshing. They have a nice Happy Hour every single day pretty sweet right ? The service was excellent from the beginning to end . Let me fix this for you.' A sincere effort to problem-solve, not just a refund. Really hoping more attention is paid to orders moving forward.
