Quick and yummy food for laying out in the warm sunshine by the poolside. Thank you! They have Starbucks drink selections and also other snacks worth trying! Van also purchased snacks, souvenir, frozen foods, liquor, wine and beer.

Decided to have a wander today, Friday afternoon. First off, it wasn't what I expected. There's not much there. Unless I'm missing something but the area was quite small. There's like a main strip where all the shopping and dining are located. Literally a block with everything around it. I probably have missed more but it seemed like that this was it. There's parking along the street as well as parking lots around it. You have shopping but nothing massive with chain stores. More shop small stores and boutiques. There's like one or two little cafes and a couple of restaurants. It could be the summer season that makes it pretty slow and quiet. But for a Friday you would have thought there would have been people out and about. Also the heat does make it unbearable and uncomfortable to be outside. We saw maybe a handful of people walking around. Also it seemed like the whole shopping area was closed as there was no one out and about. But they were open. Restaurant didn't seemed opened either as I think some only open for dinner. One did look open for lunch but it was emptied. I hope that it does pick up during the weekend as people are in town visiting. It wasn't much as i was expecting so much more. One or two shops that I walked in was quite nice. A bit pricey but a lot of beautiful items. I hope that's it's only quiet as it the summer months where there's less guest visiting. Hopefully it isn't alway like this and is so much more. I'll have to check it out again when the season is cooler.

The variety here is really nice but also not overwhelming. They have women's wear, home goods, small gifts and child's clothing. As I mentioned above they usually carry some cute clothing with logos of the cities around these parts. I missed out on getting a La Quinta shirt last time I was here and regretted it because it was so cute. When I came in today they had Palm Springs shirts and logos which are a perfect gift or just fun / casual to wear around if you are a local. This store is extra special as they support local artists and vendors. I bought a lovely candle today in this shop and it's from My Mijo Co which is local to the desert. Due to them being a small boutique and supporting local the items they sell here aren't necessarily "cheap" but well worth it in my opinion and again, they make the perfect gift and it's so much more unique and fun to find items where then some big retailer. You definitely get what you pay for and I'm happy to keep supporting them. The staff that work in here are very nice and welcoming. Always good vibes and sweet people. I found a couple things I would come back for, but had just shopped and spent a lot so I was only looking. As I was leaving, I complimented Mary for greeting me warmly. I expected her to say "thank you" and then I would leave. But she started chatting which lead to her telling me about her art and jewelry. And I also asked if the owner was hiring. I must say it went downhill from there. I suspect Mary was just protecting her job which is obviously very important to her. I will be back another day!

Her demeanor was unfriendly from the start no greeting, no smile, and she looked me over with a slight frown. When I asked about the Arrata brand, she told me they no longer carry it, then directed me to the back area and said the items there were 50% off and that I could check the rack in case something was there. After spending about ten minutes searching, I found an item. At that point she changed her story and said the price on the tag was not 50% off and that it was full price. This was completely different from what she originally told me. My family and I have shopped here before, so this experience was disappointing and unprofessional. I came specifically to purchase a Mother's Day gift, and the lack of courtesy, clarity, and consistency made the visit unnecessarily frustrating. She blew it Lulu, we will never come back and we will pass the word along. Be nice to everyone afterall we keep the rent paid.
