Easy to get reservations online for a busy graduation weekend right when they opened. Service was attentive. Coffee was good as was the food. I was a bit disappointed when I asked for no green onion or garlic and they were both on my plate. The garlic was overpowering on the tomatoes and eggs.

I walked in and was punched in the face by a cozy welcoming atmosphere. It's almost Thanksgiving and Christmas decor is everywhere - it's country, it's industrial, it's warm and inviting. Cloth napkins, lots coffee refills, fascinating brunch menu. I had been hunting for a pulled pork Benedict and found it here - on top of a cheddar jalapeño cornmeal waffle.

It's a nice restaurant with a casual atmosphere. Our waiter was friendly and checked back a few times letting us know it wouldn't be much longer for our food. I don't mind waiting a little while but almost an hour for a sandwich and a pasta dinner is unacceptable. The food was good but the wait time needs to improve.

All of the staff was incredibly friendly, and the flower decorations were beautiful. I was so happy to find a veggie-forward breakfast option in the "We Be Yammin'" bowl and my husband enjoyed his omelette and biscuits. The iced tea was really good, too. Strong and cold!

We were able to make a reservation on Open Table about 45 min ahead of time and were seated right away when we got there. I ordered the espresso martini. Delicious, however it had a dollop of whip cream on top (appearances?) if trying to give the allure of creamy, I'd rather have a splash of heavy cream. We ordered the pickle fries as an appetizer, which came with type of hot sauce. I like heat but it came right away and lingered. I'd prefer something like a signature chipotle aioli. We got the delicious taco salads. Loved the shell and all the fresh ingredients. We would have liked there to be a little Spanish rice and, guac and black beans included.

Brunch Rating - 3.5/5 I visited for the first time in mid-September 2023 on my day trip to Wooster, Ohio to visit a friend. We both arrived to the restaurant around after 12:00 noon. The restaurant was starting to get busy upon arrival but we luckily were seated right away. FOOD -- I ordered the Loaded Potato Omelette ($13) with side of potatoes -- inside the omelette is bacon, potatoes, green onions. I got mine WITHOUT cheese and sour cream. The omelette was good and tasted like any traditional omelette. The majority of the side potatoes were burnt but the whole meal was still edible. The omelette would have tasted better with tomatoes. I also ordered the Belgian Waffle ($8) which comes with fruit on top but I got the fruit on the side so that I could add syrup on the waffle. PARKING -- Street parking but I think my friend and I found a parking lot behind the restaurant. Overall, the Leaf appears to be a popular restaurant with the locals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. While I don't live close to Wooster, I can definitely see myself visiting again if I'm ever in the area. **** - 86/150 total reviews in 2023 - 637 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 1 December 2023

    French Onion Soup

First visit to The Leaf Restaurant and we're already planning on coming back next weekend and it's an hour and 15 minutes away from where we live. The food is AMAZING and the service is phenomenal! Megan C. was our server and she was extremely sweet and very knowledgeable about the menu items. I was in the restaurant business for almost twenty years and I'm probably one of the most nit-picky customers on earth and I couldn't find one thing that could have been better with the service or the food. My wife was floored I didn't criticize one thing! Honestly, we probably only eat out once every other month anymore because I know I can make it better at home and the service isn't ever close to what I expect and should receive. Thank you for proving to me there's still a restaurant out there that provides as high of service and food quality that i hope to receive and expect!

Sunday morning breakfast. What we liked- * immediate seating * cool decor and ambiance * friendly staff * had the wet breakfast burrito - good portion with enough spice/flavor but not spicy hot. Pulled pork was quite good inside the burrito. * French toast was good. What we thought could of been better: * bacon served with the French toast was covered in a cold grease- as it was greasy and cooled off. * they were out of pastures.

Adorable restaurant featuring some nice basic food. We enjoyed the dog hair onlette with cube potatoes and amazing hollandaise sauce. My French toast was pedestrian and served without butter and a small side of syrup. Not impressive. Great decor, good service.

The meal started poorly and never really recovered. The lamb chops were undersized for the price, leaving the impression that the plate was built more around presentation than value. The pork belly was especially disappointing. It was so tough it could not be cut cleanly with a knife and had to be pulled apart in layers just to eat it. A salad dressing that was requested never arrived. The entrées were the biggest letdown. Four steaks at the table were overcooked. My $65 Delmonico was particularly disappointing. It looked and tasted like an overcooked pork chop from the 1970s rather than a properly prepared premium steak. At this level, temperature and execution should not be questionable. They should be the baseline. The sides did not help. The steamed vegetables were cooked well past the point of being enjoyable. The yellow squash was so soft and mushy that the only real clue it was squash was the skin. Because this was a business dinner, most of the group simply made the best of it and ate what was served rather than disrupt the evening. But after spending around $500, the disappointment was hard to ignore. A restaurant charging high-end steakhouse prices has to deliver more than a nice room and a premium menu. It has to execute. Based on this experience, we will not be bringing clients or business guests back.

It's a big restaurant off of a country road with plenty of parking. As of two weeks ago they were doing work on the highway that was kind of unpleasant with grated roads and lane closures but it looks like it will be done soon maybe.... Anyway, it's a large space with a gift shop and shabby chic decor that all appeared to be for sale since everything has a price tag on it even in the restaurant. The service was pleasant enough. The menu has fairly straightforward cafe like offerings of sandwiches and salads. I wanted something light so I opted for the cesar salad in spite of my reservations when it said tomatoes and olives were on it. Weird but whatever chicken, lettuce, croutons and cesar dressing still felt on brand so I went for it. This is not a cesar salad. It was a salad with balsamic dressing of some kind, toasted bread with the crust cut off and a cold chicken breast. And, it comes with bread but I was told they didn't have rye so I ended up with sourdough that was also not sourdough and the waitperson didn't bring it until I was mostly through eating my refrigerator cold chicken. Just, yikes. Additionally, I still don't know how there was rye for my sister's sandwich but I wasn't allowed to order it with my food. As for her lunch, the pastrami was fine but with a lackluster amount of meat. The French onion soup was the only thing that felt reasonable with quality and price. All in all, I think the snack bars or even grocery stores in the area/ Amish country appeared to have better offerings. I wouldn't recommend this place for lunch. The gift shop was cute and reasonably priced so maybe check it out for that but that's it.
