Wings are out of this world. Stopped in after work to grab a bite to eat and it was open mic night so the vibe was varied song. Folks dining were supportive and courteous in applauding regardless of skill level. Had a an Oktoberfest while I waited for my food. The cocktails look divine and I will be back to try them!

Salmon on dinner menu. Just ok. Large piece of salmon but was lacking flavor

Food was just ok , ambiance was very nice, piano bar was going in and it was nice. Busy place, servers were wonderful. Just need to step up the food a bit. Then it would be 5 stars.

Loved the piano guy on the weekend after six. We were right next to the piano and it was still pleasant. Friendly waiter took care of us really well even tho we were a large crowd. I would call it relaxed trendy with a little old world music feel. Beautiful place. Delicious drinks. Everyone finished their meals which is a great sign in our group. Definitely go again.

This place is super nice! Jazz hipster vibes. The food was delicious. Though the fries were a little old/soggy. But not a deal breaker. The final squeeze was a 10/10. Smoking jacket was also great though I'm not particularly a mezcal person. The food came out pretty quickly especially since we were a party of 10.

The food was very good! The drinks were pretty good... the wait staff was outstanding. The only complain I have is that the seating arrangements are a little crowded. I came here for my first year anniversary dinner and I felt like I had no privacy bc the couple next to us was RIGHT next to us lol. Just awkward... but still enjoyable!

Visited lemon squeeze with friends while staying in New Paltz. What a wonderful experience. We sat at the bar. There was a pianist playing when we arrived and a band that performed shortly after. Bartenders are great. Drinks and food absolutely delish!!!

Highly recommend. After a long hike, we stopped by and this place is a gem. The customer service is beyond. We did not make a reservation and there were limited tables available, the host still proceeded to give us a great selection. Our server was extremely polite and checked on constantly despite how full the restaurant was. The food, wow! Quality and amazing taste all around. The tenderness's of the short rib was immaculate. The King salmon was well cooked and the taste was awesome. The pianist was playing in the restaurant all night. Perfect place to celebrate for a special occasion or date night.

Food was nothing to mention. Bottle of wine for $35 was cheap tasting and sweet. Sound system was on the money. Interior decor was nice.

Here's a polished review that stays honest while keeping it fair and balanced:…read more Agave in New Paltz offers a modern, fusion-style take on Mexican-inspired cuisine rather than authentic Mexican food. If you're expecting traditional Mexican flavors, just know this restaurant leans more toward upscale fusion than classic Mexican dishes. The food is good, and everything we've tried has been flavorful, although the portions are on the smaller side. The prices are reasonable for the quality and presentation, and the atmosphere has more of a cozy, date-night vibe than a casual Mexican restaurant. One suggestion I'd make is to expand the salsa selection. For a restaurant centered around Mexican-inspired cuisine, offering a few house-made, original salsas would really elevate the experience and make it feel more authentic. The restaurant itself is fairly small, so it's not the best choice for large groups. Parking can also be a challenge since there's no dedicated lot--it's street parking only, so be prepared to drive around until you find a spot. Overall, Agave is a nice place if you're looking for creative fusion dishes in a relaxed setting. Just go in expecting modern Mexican-inspired cuisine rather than traditional Mexican food, and you'll likely enjoy the experience.

After dinner we were looking for a decent bar to enjoy a quick drink before heading home. This place surpassed our expectations by a mile. Neon lights, edgy signs and the aroma of incense draw you in. The bar keeper greets you under the disco ball. You take a look around, cool clothes and even better decor. The bar is set up with mint infused water and glasses. I love the attention to detail, and anticipation of customer needs. After talking to the bartender; Thomas about their cocktail options, I settled on a draft IPA, although I had my eye on their Filthy Twisted Martini. Thomas described it as breaking all the trad martini rules and it sounded delicious, but he let me know it did have a bit of spice. I couldn't tolerate anymore spice so I decided to try that one another time. My Wife ordered their botanical lemonade, she loved it, describing it as the best lemonade she ever had. Y'all!! It's delicious, a must try, with the option to have it with or without alcohol. We decided to sit on their rooftop patio, people watching and enjoying the cool summer evening. Bathrooms were super clean. Parking on the street. This place will be on my mind until the next time I'm there. Signed, The Happy Hour Huntress

Overall, the food and drinks were good, and the restaurant itself was clean with a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, what should have been a pleasant lunch ended on a very disappointing note. When it came time to pay, our group split the check. Together, we left an 18% tip for our server, which we felt was fair for the service we received. As we were leaving, the server stopped us near the entrance--in front of other guests--and asked if something had been wrong because she didn't understand why we had left such a "poor tip." It was an uncomfortable and embarrassing interaction. We politely explained that the total tip was 18% and even walked through the math with her so she could see how we had calculated it. Instead of simply accepting the explanation, she told us that if we wanted, she could call the manager because they "don't welcome people who don't tip well." At that point, I responded that the comment was extremely rude and that we would not be returning. We haven't been back since. It actually took me quite a while to write this review. On another occasion, I mentioned this experience to the bartender at a nearby bar after she had recommended The Parish to me. She told me the same owner operates both businesses and said she would pass the feedback along. I don't know whether that conversation ever reached the owner, but it encouraged me to finally share my experience publicly. It's unfortunate because the food, drinks, and atmosphere were enjoyable. However, no customer should be confronted at the door or made to feel embarrassed over what was, in fact, an 18% tip. A single interaction can outweigh an otherwise good meal, and unfortunately, that's exactly what happened here.

After we parked we saw Sideshow on the way and decided to check out the menu. It sounded very intriguing so we decided to go there instead. My only complaint is that I really wanted one of their specials, the Smoked Turkey Salad Sandwich, but they were sold out. I was very disappointed as I was really looking forward to the smoked Gouda, but I can't hold the fact that it was really popular against them. Instead I settled on the Golden Goddess Grilled Chicken Wrap and the Jalapeno Corn Chowder as a starter. I think the chowder was missing a little something flavor wise (not sure what), but it had a nice kick to it and I was satisfied with it overall. Loved the cornbread on the side. The sandwich was great and the crispy potato skin fries were hot, fresh and delicious. The rest of my family inhaled the smoked chicken wings with the Jalapeno Mango glaze as a starter. They must have been good as I barely got a taste. For a main course my other half had the Sliced Steak Sandwich and my kids chose the Sideshow Burger (with a side salad) and the Spicy Shrimp Orecchiette (pasta) special. My son wasn't crazy about the special sauce on the burger, but otherwise everyone was happy. Two of us had enough left overs for our lunch the next day. I was really happy with the size of the starters as they were a great addition to the meal, but not overly filling where you couldn't eat your main entree. The inside of the restaurant was smaller than I expected, but it had a pleasant atmosphere. I was happy about the fact that although they had TVs playing the World Cup in the background the TVs didn't overwhelm the space. We did notice the employees had to bring new supplies/food in through the front door to take to the kitchen repeatedly while we were there. They don't appear to have access directly into the kitchen from outside, which is a little odd. A limitation in the design I suppose. Our waitress was very friendly and pleasant. We ended our meal with a delicious Chocolate Chip Cookie Strudel. We will definitely be back again.
