I have never been here and I'm so glad we came! We tried to go to bacchus but they were backed up in the kitchen for about 45 mins. This place wasn't open when I was a student so we wanted to check it out. The drinks were strong, prices fair, and the food was good! I had one of the salads which you could add mahi mahi too. I appreciate that as a healthier protein addition. Would definitely come back again!

Spacious and cool outdoor space and nice indoor area with a nice dark sports ambiance setting. Everything is new and clean. A lot of big TVs for sports viewing while eating. Staff and server were pleasant and welcoming. Smoked chicken wings were very good. Wish more fat was rendered off though. House fries were excellent. Fresh and tasty. Angus burger was very good but for the price a little undersized. Ribs were good and decent size. House salad was tiny. Cole slaw not that good, needs some work. Corn bread was excellent. The three house sauces were okay. Prices were a little high which is okay but portions could be larger. And some healthier options on the menu would be nice addition. Overall, a very nice place with great ambiance. Good addition to New Paltz. Will return.

The food was good, I will say the Mac and cheese being $27 is criminal! Def not worth it.

The food was lack luster compared to the price. Service was very good and ambiance was solid.

On the weekends it turns on a late-night party scene filled with college students. It is lined up right in Main Street with other smaller restaurants and bars. This was one of my favorite cheap eateries in the town while I was in college. I have been here twice since for happy hour specials. I ordered the chicken wings and the shrimp tacos. The drinks were around $5 which is a steal compared to New York City prices. In the past they used to offer a large fishbowl drink for your birthday. It was huge and took several people to drink it. Currently it is the size of a large cup as you can see in the picture. It does the job but it is much smaller than what it was in 2010. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. I usually sit at the bar which is a great place to meet others and watch the game. Everyone usually comes in for drinks and a quick meal. There are large tables for families to come in and spread out. Everyone was nice here. I plan to come back soon and take advantage of the happy hour specials again.

The atmosphere is definitely college bar, with a sprinkling of older locals and a smattering of tourists. In other words, a bit of everything, which is much like their menu. Their burgers are consistently superb, as is their broiled salmon, eggplant fries, and even their eggplant parm (yes, truly), among many other things. But today, it was wing day. Stopped in w best friend, Pots & Pans, AKA Stumbleweed. We split a dozen, half garlic parmesan, half teriyaki. Meaty and juicy (to the point that P&P "sauced up" his shirt). Ice cold draughts on a hot day. And our server, Brittany, was great. Efficient, effective, and effervescent. I thought she was going to do a cartwheel for us. Overall, 5 rama lama wing dong stars

Here at P&G's you'll find a decent bar menu (some on tap, some in bottles, some other drinks), decent layout (our seats were around a couple of corners, the bar kinda bisects the whole place), and decent service (we were a bit under-noticed, but that was corrected promptly once fixed). I suppose that this place is geared toward SUNY more than downtown, and that's honestly not a bad thing. Well, we went for the food, and I'd say a bit more than just decent. I really liked the clam chowder. It's not authentic New England style, but it's sweeter and thicker - I actually liked it more! The bread I dipped was quite good, everyone else enjoyed their food, and I think I got to try a couple of fries and those hit the spot as well. Verdict: New Paltz isn't a town I'd return to in general, but you could do far worse than P&G's while there. In fact, I'm not sure you could do better. Come one, come all.
