This is my first visit here, and I came to see Pearl and the Oysters, one of my favorite bands. It's very old place but well taken care of. It used to be a Masonic Lodge, but now it's taken care of and used as a music performance stage. There are two ways of getting in, but the one in the back is used for guest list invite and people who will call their tickets to a concert. I did Wilco, so I ended up in the alleyway behind the building. It didn't take long for me to go in, and meet up with an individual with a computer who checked me in. They do a short bag check and you're pretty much up the stairs to the left, wear your band might have a merch stand going up. When you walk into the hall, there's a bar in the center of the back of the room. They seem to have everything you could want to make a good drink. The place can fit it as many as 500 people. Last night when I went, there was about 3 to 400. The band I went to see is really good and I really enjoyed my time there. I can't wait to see which one of my favorite bands ends up playing there again. For me, it was a very short walk to the metro station, just a block away. There are a lot of good places to go eat and drink before you get there. The only thing I didn't like about the place but I can get over it quick is the fact that they didn't have anywhere to sit. So wear comfortable shoes when you visit. read more

Went here for LOTUS JUICE's PLAYER ONE TOUR and it's a great and intimate venue for a concert. There's paid parking lots, metered parking, and if you're brave you can get free street parking! Just make sure to read the signs. My friend and I were here for Ultra VIP and the sound check and other activities were around 4:15 PM. We got there a bit earlier and I'm glad at that time, the entrance is at the side, so the building provides shade over the waiting area and there was a gentle breeze too which was nice. Staff is very friendly, helpful and assistance. We had to transfer tickets over and it was as simple as a super short, brief explanation to staff/provided the ticket owner's name and it was all good. None of that BS from larger venues or if we had to deal with a QR code or crazy ticketing system. Huge relief. Thank you for being independent! We got VIP wristbands and they also card you for a wrist band if you want to order alcohol since there's a bar in the back. The concert area is upstairs and it's neat that it's historically a masonic lodge too. Neat door like backdrop to the stage and the historic wooden feel to it is nice too. Restrooms are a bit small, so it can get gross after a show, but we went beforehand so no issues for us. Free water throughout and trashcans everywhere too. Love that logistical planning. There's food and apparently an adjacent restaurant, we didn't get a chance to go, but it smelled good when we were leaving. Lights were a bit glaring but was adjusted and changed throughout the concert versus when it was on for sound check, just adjust the lighting settings on your phone. Good acoustics and sound quality, it got a bit warm at times, but not horrible, so AC is quite strong here. Wouldn't mind coming back here for another show! read more

This place is perfect for a date night. We saw a concert here recently and it was such a cool and fun experience with great vibes. The venue is on the second floor next to Checker Hall, a sit down mediterean restaurant and the food there is delicious. We ended up eating at the restaurant bar while waiting for the concert to start. To find the Checker Hall from the concert area, you'll have to go through the Merch area/bar/Restroom area then through the door on the other side. You can reenter to the concert area by showing your wristband to staff. We were pretty lucky and were able to find parking across the street in the LADOT Public Parking lot. 2 hour limit, but free after 9pm. read more

For my 1st review of 2026, I choose the legendary venue The Lodge Room because it has hosted everything from kick ass concerts, to wrestling, and comedy shows that featured everyone from DEFY Wrestling to POPPY and Dave Chappelle through the years of its continuing lifespan. Now, this area is pretty cool all around because they have random stores, bars, grocery stores and restaurants nearby. Parking can be a bitch, but that's life telling you to get to your event a little early. After 9pm, I believe it's FREE. When I saw POPPY perform here years ago right after COVID, it was my first concert here and this place is dope because you're literally so damn close to the artist(s) you watch because the stage isn't too high. The acoustics, bass and all around sound here is NICE for a small, intimate venue. ALL of the workers I've met/interacted with were all so damn nice and helpful as much as they can. This place also has a nice restaurant inside from what I've seen and NEED to check out in the future. I was blessed to even hang out at their Green Room for a gig and it's just so damn cool to know that Dave Chappelle and others have been inside the same room before and after shows! read more

Had a blast watching the finale of the World Cup! There was a crowd but enough space to stand around with gaps in between everyone and walk through the crowd without too much struggle. There were some rows of chairs at the front provided by the venue and other folks brought their own chair. Got there halfway through the game so we stood in the back. Another fun night...a lively crowd with Western Standard Time Ska! If you haven't been here for a show, look at their calendar. I wasn't looking forward to this because I was exhausted,, but hubby bought tickets and it was a great and lively evening listening to Western Standard Time Ska. Their front act was a great start. Such a cool spot! The Lodge Room is packed with character..it used to be a Masonic temple from the 1920s, and you can totally feel that old school charm mixed with modern LA vibes. The space is intimate, the sound is great, and every show I've been to here has been a blast. Before the show, definitely hit up Checker Hall, it's a restaurant/bar inside of the venue. It's super vibey, has great food and cocktails, and makes the whole night feel like an experience. tips: - will call entrance is usually through the little side alley - Lots of stairs, heels might be a challenge - Def stop by Checker Hall for dinner or drinks before show starts - Some shows go hard on the bright ass light shows, so maybe bring shades if you're light sensitive Honestly, one of my favorite small venues in LA. Bought tickets to see The Shivers & Wade Ryff + friends. I'd never heard of lodge room as a venue before so I was interested to see how it would look. We found street parking one street over in front of the bowling alley. Didn't realize though we had to get our will call tickets by going through the alley to their second entrance. Once there, the process was easy to get a wristband and enter the venue. Inside the venue is honestly so cute and intimate. It looks very pretty with the little arches and enough space. The bar outside the stage area was closed but they had another one inside the stage area. The acoustics was very good as well, The Shivers sounded amazing! It was overall such a good vibe and first time experience for this venue. They also had clean bathrooms which is such a bonus lol. Definitely would come see another show here again :) read more

My friend and I attended a concert. My friend parked in the parking lot across the street (for a fee). I parked across Figueroa Street, on the street for no fee (Sunday night). We arrived early and ate at The Greyhound across the street, a fine bar and grill. The Lodge Room opened its doors at 8:00, one hour before the show. (The entrance is located in the well-lit alley behind the venue.) The ambiance is cozy. Much of the architecture from original Masonic Lodge has been preserved. Areas to the sides of the stage were roped off for patrons who wanted to sit (limited to about 10-15 folding chairs). The rest of the room was standing room only. In the back was a bar. You are tagged twice with wristbands, one for entry and one for alcohol. Up front in the seating areas were ushers who told us sternly not to take pictures and to put away our phones. (We think it was at the insistence of the music artist.) read more

I was a bit worried initially when I bought my tix to see Bilal at the Lodge Room! Mostly because it was a standing room only smallish venue.. I'm only 5'1 and some change so standing only can be quite difficult for me as most folks are taller and it's super hard for me to enjoy a concert when i can't see anything but the back of folks head lol! But I must admit it was a cool vibe!! Sound quality was great and I found a wall that had a little rise that I could stand against!! So I able to get a very good view! read more

I finally had an opportunity to catch a show at Lodge Room in Highland Park. This space used to be the banquet space of the Masonic Temple that occupied the building for many years. The cherry wood panels in the venue have been preserved and restored and give the room a historical feel. There's a bar at the back of the room and in the hallway behind it. The facility features 18 foot ceilings and holds about 500 people. There are many small public parking lots around the area and plenty of street parking. I would definietly come back here to catch more shows. read more

Wow. This is one of the places that you can drive by a million times without looking twice at it. But then you finally come in and...pow! I went to see the band Plaid at the Lodge Room. I didn't know what to expect from the location but, man, was I impressed. The Lodge Room is a two story multi-use complex that offers a lot to visitors. The main stage/performance area really shows its original function as a Masonic Lodge: it's intricately detailed with symbols of Masonry and the cardinal directions are elaborately decorated. Of course, I was only able to see this when the lights were back on, but it was still very cool. As far as the band: well, they were fabulous. And the acoustics in the room definitely helped to show the band at their best. There are two bars, one in the performance area and one in the "chill-out" space. While visiting that area of the complex my friend and I discovered that past the powder rooms was a restaurant called Checker Hall. The place was beautiful: it had a really French Quarter look with its balcony seating. Service at the bar was relatively quick and when my friend sloshed his beverage, the bartender was kind enough to give him a free top of. I would definitely like to return here, especially if I could check out Checker Hall before a show/performance. read more

I might be biased because I was here playing a show buttttt.... this place rules. Love the history behind this building. An old Masonic temple gets converted into a concert and potpourri venue. The result? A darn cool room sound, high ceilings, and a sound mixing loft where the organ used to be. Pretty rad. The drinks are typical show fare: beers, some mixed drinks, and the like. The space itself is great for watching a show (there are no pillars so seeing the acts is really easy, and the sound is, as mentioned before, terrific). It's also cool to walk upstairs to get to the venue, and past the merch tables and a hallway for milling about with friends if the main hall is a wee bit loud. From a performer's perspective, I lovedddd working with the folks at Lodge Room! Really responsive to emails and flexible about a few hitches we had in booking. The green room(s), of which there are 3, were really cozy and had a lot of... let's say, "character"? Love the area, love the venue, love the vibes! Can't wait to go back! read more

The Lodge Room is a great place to catch a show. It's an old Masonic Lodge that has been converted to a music venue. I can imagine hundreds of secret meetings, weddings and retirement parties that likely took place there over the years. Now, it's a cool place to watch a show. The sound quality was great and the wood floor helps absorb the shock as you dance around. We saw "Night Talks". Great band with incredible sound, solid lyrics, and some 80's flair. I look forward to saying that I once saw them at the Lodge Room before they hit it big. Would definitely come back here for another show. read more

The venue is the best in Los Angeles. The sound is like you're in a cathedral of rock n roll mixed w funk and soul. The staff are attentive and kind. Management is always responsive they get back to you right away especially if you leave your credit card I messaged Lodgeroom on instagram about my lost card and yep they had it waiting for me to pick up! Let's talk about those lights and sound combination my ears and eyes were riding that perfect wave!!! The drinks, the price is fair and competitive with all venues in Los Angeles. The bar staff knowledgeable of their craft and pretty stylish I might add. I think the beverage director runs both Lodgeroom and Checkerhall their sister restaurant next door someone referred to her as Boss Lady. All and all from ownership, management, sound, lights, food& beverage, booking agents, security, and staff this looks to be a family run business! Keep up the great work Lodgeroom! read more

Great venue, great sound, and helpful/friendly staff. Was here a few nights ago for Jack White. Who of course, put on an incredible show. Drinks weren't horribly priced for an LA venue. $18 for a can of Tecate and shot of whiskey. Sound was really good (but SUPER FUCKING LOUD, bring earplugs!). The only downer about the venue is the parking situation. It's very limited and if you arrive to the venue later, it will be even more limited. I drove around for 20 minutes before I finally got a spot. Will definitely come again! read more

Adorable rock and event space in the heart of Highland Park. Drive over via the 110 or take the Gold Line, which has a stop steps away from the Lodge room. Parking availability depends how early your arrival: there is some street parking that's free in the adjacent, residential neighborhood, but also paid and metered lots too. Eat burgers downstairs before the show and make your way in. Staff is friendly upon entry and if you love historic architecture, you'll soak up the beauty of the Lodge Room -- particularly the Ballroom where the concerts are held. There is also a beautiful bar in the back but standing room only for the Show. Shows by the way, are affordable typically, so it's great to get out and see small, indie acts as well as local bands. I'd definitely come back again with the area around Avenue 56 building back up -- HP is one of my new favorite old neighborhoods! read more

The Lodge Room is a small, intimate venue in the heart of Highland Park. My friend and I came to see a set by TEED and anywhere you stand is a good spot. The sound system was solid and there's a bar in the back of the main room or you can grab a drink at the bar just on the other side of the wall where there's a bit more space. There was a line to enter but it moved quickly and staff were friendly. As with most small venues it was pretty hot inside so plan your outfit accordingly. read more
