We went there on a Sunday evening. It was not very packed, service was very good and fast. The hand crafted burgers, fries are the best. We enjoyed the margaritas, and variety of beer. Wings have a different taste from the usual Buffalo Wild Wings, Pluckers and they are great. Over all, for Richardson it is one of the best bars. Found this place on yelp and everyone raved about the pizza... it was AMAZING!! Drink specials while I was there were 2.95 domestic bottles and drafts. You could have had well drinks or wine for same price. Crow was very friendly and welcomed me into their group. I got a chance to meet the owners as well both of which were very pleasant. I'm adding a star here for the "vibes," the atmosphere and because I've seen a lot of Dallas pubs start to raise prices while The Line has yet to do so. I know the owners are putting in a lot of effort and cash to offer more music and I'll bet they will continue to improve the food and drink choices, which are already top-notch for a "dive" sports bar. There's nothing trashy or dirty about this place, though, and I'll still choose coming up north to Richardson over spending too much for bad food and super expensive beer in up- or downtown. read more

I am a huge fan of dive bars, but this doesn't do it for me. Only go here if you want cheap domestic beer and sports. Any kind of mixed drink and you'll run into trouble. They have a big projector screen playing the game of the night, as well as smaller TV's scattered around the place. Make sure you sit somewhere in the middle of the restaurant or you'll hear the terrifying screeching from the karaoke next door (and it always seems to be the same one awful girl...) I can't drink beer so it's cider all the way for me. They only carry one cider, and are frequently sold out. I once tried to order a Dark and Stormy (dark rum and ginger beer), they couldn't make it because they had never heard of ginger beer. What kind of a bartender doesn't know what ginger beer is? And they don't even carry ginger ale. Or Dr. Pepper. They manage to make a decent margarita. I've heard the food is good, but I've never had it. The place is clean, and staff is friendly albeit uneducated in bartending. read more

My boyfriend and I are in Dallas for the weekend and our hotel didn't have FSSW so we wanted to find a spot to watch the Spurs and Mavericks game. We tried several places but they either didn't have the game showing and weren't willing to switch a tv to it or were smoking establishments (something that we're not used to in San Antonio). We called The Line which is a non-smoking sports bar and they were super helpful and found the game for us. Their customer service was awesome! The food and drinks being great was just the cherry on top. Wish we had a local spot like this near home. One of the few bars I could find in Richardson that doesn't allow smoking inside! Happy Hour specials were OK, the wings were surprisingly very good, but service was terrible. I would go back again if the weather isn't nice enough to go to the Richardson Food Truck Park and if my friends really wanted to go to... otherwise, I see no reason to frequent this place. Oh, also, our waitress (who was so inattentive another waitress stepped in for her multiple times) made a face at me when I ordered a PBR- I get it, it's not a classy beer, but I like it and it's cheap. This place is fun! Went in to try out the pizza (had some friends that just raved about it) and ended up closing the place down! Dropped in on a Friday, which also happens to be Karaoke Night. Our waitress was very friendly, quick on the drink refills and made some excellent suggestions on what to try. Apparently they have recently changed ownership, so there are some new items on the menu. Ordered the Veggie Pizza, Angus Burger and the new Hickory Burger. Everything was delish! Pizza was thin crispy crust with fresh toppings, both burgers were awesome. (I'm going to have go back and get me one of those Angus burgers for my own!) Karaoke with Ronnie was happening, had no idea we had so much talent (not) in our group. Great crowd and very entertaining. I was excited to try this place after finding it on Yelp. The food looked great. We got there and the place has three people at the bar and two other tables. The server/bartender was not attentive and seemed annoyed by our presence. We had to ask twice for our chips and salsa. Our drinks were empty for ten minutes. My boyfriend had to walk to the bar and stand to order our next round. After standing for several minutes we decided to cancel our order. A guy from one of the other two tables had to also walk to the bar to close his check. The place wasn't busy or I would be more understanding. Instead, she did nothing but talk to the three people at the bar and play on her phone. We won't be back and I doubt the other tables will be either as they all seemed equally as annoyed. It's a shame because the food seemed like it would be great. It would have been nice to have another neighborhood bar option. It's a shame that bad staff can kill a local business. read more

I moved to the area in 2013 and found this place by my house. There are those few times in life where you come into a place and realize you've found something special. This is one of those places. The menu has been recently upgraded to showcase some amazing burgers, amazing pizza, and I really recommend the quesadillas and wings as well. With the great food, you get the added bonus of a great atmosphere and staff. Everyone there really makes you feel welcome and will go WAY beyond to make sure everything is to your liking. Drink specials every day on top of the already ridiculously cheap drink prices. They will host your private party and really go that extra mile to ensure it goes great. Tons of fun, and awesome food! We had our draft party there and it was a blast! The food was great. We had pizza, wings, chicken strips, and all was yummy! I live in the neighborhood and have visited several places much like this one. I have to say that "The Line" is my favorite. Their food is good, service is excellent and the atmosphere is always great! We take our family there almost every weekend for dinner and karaoke! I like that it is smoke free, plenty of TVs for watching games, and a family atmosphere until late evening. That means my teens can go and I feel comfortable with them being there! We first started coming here shortly after they opened in February. We came for the Karaoke. We kept coming back for everything else one would expect from a neighborhood watering hole. Great service, great food, best prices in the area, and most of all exceptional staff. Service is fast, accurate,very professional and courteous. They have a wonderful way of making each patron feel like family. The food is delicious! My favorite is the Black Angus Burger, perfectly seasoned! The Ribeye Steak & Cheese is also a great sandwich.
