I thought the menu was kind of pricey for bar food.. but I think that's the state of eating out these days. Got the cauliflower wings ($13) which come with 2 (?) sauces. but got it with the Boom Boom sauce (spicy mayo like). This really made the dish.. it was an ok portion, but not huge. Depending on who is playing, it can get pretty busy. Thought the servers did well attending to everybody. This is definitely a bar friendly environment. A nice place to watch the fight. The hot chicken Mac and cheese was good but way too greasy for me. I literally took napkins and tried to get it out. The cheese sticks were good and so were the taetor tots. Our sever was nice and allowed us to switch seats. Unfortunately it stormed that day and they have satellite so the game went out after paying our money ($5) to watch the fight. Was not super impressed by this place. We ordered the mozzarella bricks, cheeseburger sliders, and Nashville hot mac and cheese. The mozzarella bricks were fine, but pretty cold by the time they made it to our table so the cheese was already solidified. The meat in my sliders was very dry and thick and I don't think they actually came with the Boom Boom Sauce in them as advertised. I didn't personally taste the mac and cheese but my boyfriend said the chicken tasted more like hot honey than a Nashville hot sauce but it was okay. Honestly the highlight was the tater tots on the side of my sliders which were salty and crispy. I also ordered a spiked strawberry lemonade (not pictured) which was strong and sweet! Service was quite slow, all of our food came out pretty cold, and our server was not attentive at all. He was very casual, kept getting distracted, and forgot multiple times to get us waters, extra condiments, and boxes at the end of the meal. Average sports bar vibes, lots of tvs which is a plus if you are there to watch a game, but not the nicest place ever. Came here for the Mavs game last night. I love the atmosphere and it wasn't too busy. The service at the bar was spot on. Such friendly and attentive bartenders. They have a lot of new menu items that were fun to try. There is a reason I am awake at 5am to leave this review. The jalapeño poppers. Wow!! They were really good and really spicy. Need I say more?! Lol! The onion soup was really good. The only thing is the quality of the mac and cheese for the Nashville mac and cheese. The cheese sauce was gritty and a little strange. We've been in a couple of times now for lunch on a Friday, and I really like this place. Day time seems to be a little slow - too bad, because the day bartender Charlene is really great!! She's wonderful with her customer service, slings some great drinks, and will take great care of you. We enjoyed hand made margaritas and she recommended we try the fish and chip! Oh my gosh, the fish and chips are delicious!!! On my second visit I wanted to try something else, but just couldn't do it, had to have the fish and chips again. It's Sam Adams beer battered, but not toooo "beery" like some are. It was crispy on the outside, flaky inside and the tarter sauce was good enough I could have drank shots of it. Fries were also crispy outside, fluffy inside, and the coleslaw was a nice compliment. Check out the bar napkins!! Words of wisdom to ponder as you drink!!! They have pool tables, but they're filthy. They have cue sticks, but they don't have talc. You have to ask for chalk. They had the decency to not charge me when I returned the ball set without playing them. Beer selection is alright. Staff doesn't reach out to serve you; it seems like they're understaffed and overworked and walking on eggshells. I didn't eat tonight, but usually the food is pretty good. The manager-supervisor is holed up at a table full of empty plates and styrofoam Sonic cups. I've gotten In arguments with her before over weird practices, so I'm not going to complain about lack of service or talc. The manager, Yaneth, is horrible. The past two times we have been here we have had to interact with her due to our food order being messed up and neither time has she been helpful. She said she can't comp the incorrect food and gave us a business card for a crap discount on the future visit after our server said they would comp the food as it was wrong and we had to wait 20 minutes for the correct order. We love getting take out from F&H, but the in person dining experience is awful. They are incredibly short staffed and it takes hours, literally, to get your food. On a Sunday, they had one waitress managing the entire restaurant and it took over 2 hours to get our food because she forgot to put the order in. I went here a few times but this time will be the last. I went with my brother and a friend. From. The minute we walked in we were treated like we shouldn't even be there. We were trying to figure out where to sit before my brother noticed the manager (Shelly) standing by the bar. We didnt know she even worked there because she didn't even greet us. She stood at the bar giving us a mean look and we all wondered why and decided to approach her. She said "I'm waiting for you guys to figure out where you're sitting!" super snarky and annoyed by us it seemed. We were so confused and just look at the pool tables. She said "if you want a pool table you better get one quick before they're taken". The place was dead so I'm not sure what she was son about. We decided to get a table close enough. Later when we were done eating we decided to start a pool game and a pool stick was broken so I sit my drink down on the edge of the pool table to go get a new stick. She comes out yelling "who's drink is that!!?" as I'm coming back I tell her it's mine and she says "nuh uh we don't put her ur drinks there no no no that's not whee they go". I felt like she was talking to a toddler. She's out here talking to grown men this way and she was the manager so it was super shocking. Despite the owner's asking me to contact them (which I did), they never responded. I'm downgrading the review from two stars to one. Original review: I go about once a year. Then I remember why I don't go more often. Pros: - Lots of TVs to watch about any sports you want. - Friendly and (mostly) attentive staff. - Smoke-free. - Celery was fresh. Cons: - Food. Just yuk. This trip had the appetizer variety dish. Boneless Chicken (read nugget-like things) was 80% low-quality breading and 20% meat. Mediocre sauce. Evoked public school cafeteria food. Pretzel bites were waaaay over salted, and the queso for them had low quality salsa or other spice in it that dominated the flavor. Ranch dressing was watery, not thick. Mozzarella sticks were okay. Potato skins were good, but the sour cream sauce has garlic or some other flavoring in it, again too strong so that the flavoring overpowered the sour cream. I asked for just plain sour cream, and another container of flavored cream came out :-( - Cleanliness. The table was sticky and damp. The menu literally stuck to the table. The wait person got a rag and cleaned up the stickiness, but that left everything damp. The chair next to me was sticky. Under the table was a little sticky. (Hey manager! It was slow enough where servers were sitting around. Maybe have them get a clean rag and wipe every table top and bottom, and every chair while its slow?) - Cost. Without tip, $31 (dish, beer, soda). Soda was $4! Seriously? - Annoying "to go" pickups. Manager sat near the bar, a good 50+ feet from the front door. When someone came in, he would yell, "Here to pick up?" Often had to repeat himself. Seriously, man! Sit near the door or go greet the person coming in rather than disturbing everyone else. In summary: Other places are significantly better for food and watching sports. Skip this hound. read more

It was a terrible experience. Four of us went there to watch the Kentucky Derby. No one greeted us. The manager came over to our table. Infomed us we were each going to be charged a $5 cover charge. I inquired why, and she said it was for a UFC fight coming on later. We told her that we were just there to watch the Derby, and then she just walked away. Waitress came over, didn't say a word, just stood there with her pad and pen. Tried to order Mint Julips and were told they didn't have any mint. When the drinks that we could order arrived, one was completely wrong. Waited, but no one came back, so I walked over to the manager, seated at a table, and explained the problem. She comped the 1st drink and asked the bartender to remake it. Understand, there were only about 8 customers in the entire place, and at least as many staff members. Speechless waitress came back and took our food orders. Food took a long time. When food started coming out, we had no silverware, napkins, or water. I got up to find some setups. The manager saw me and asked what I needed. Waitress put her phone down, grabbed a handful of forks, knives, and napkins with her bare hands, and literally dropped them in a pile on the table. Initially I was rolling my eyes at this spot. How many folks gonna tell me. We re not like other fox and hounds. Still should advertise your happy hour menu and it is weird for us out of towners to have to get our ID scanned. Same food selection, similar and not very changeable beer selection. It is now non smoking which is great and reminds me of the setup in Houston. Large with separate rooms for private parties as needed. Just because there's a holiday private party you still have plenty of room to sit. Every maybe 3 weeks they change 2-3 beers on the menu. Tuesdays is $2 pints under 8% alcohol which I appreciate. Some apps are $5 til 7 during happy hour but cant tell u which cause when asked the bartender wasnt sure except the pub rolls. No patio at this Fox which I'm used to but the bartenders and waitresses are friendly and more knowledgeable than the ones on fort worth side. Recommend the buffalo chicken pub rolls. I come here 2 or 3 times per week with my buddy to play pool. Any time we have Daniel or Zoe as our servers we can trust and believe we will have a great time! Great service makes all the difference! All the food we've eaten here is great! I've had the pizzas, a few entres (Nashville Hot Chicken menu items are the bomb!!), and the appetizers. Drinks are always on point, and they usually have some kind of special going. I'm glad we found our new regular bar to play pool, eat great food, have some good drinks, and watch some sports. We're looking forward to watching many football games and playing many more games of pool here in the future! read more

I met my business partner here one day for a working lunch. It's his 2nd office as he likes to say. The staff all know him well and treated us like royalty. Ashley our server was simply amazing. Within us arriving and sitting down she was at our time within minutes. Very sweet and customer service friendly. Our food took a longggggg time. New cooks. New menu. That didn't stop Ashley from providing us with A+ service. The food was mmm mmm good. I had the Thursday rib special. The ribs had a really good flavor with an overall excellent taste. If it were not for Ashley and the quality of food this rating would definitely go a different direction. Again it took entirely too long for us to receive our food. Yes, it's a bar that allows smoking but I love it! This location is huge. In my opinion, the game room is a little more ventilated than other areas. The game room has dartboards, a shuffle table, two ping pong tables, a giant jenga and multiple love seats positioned in front of a wall of televisions. The food here is excellent for a bar. My company recently had a party here which was setup buffet style. We could choose from sliders, pizza, wings, tacos with choice of chicken or beef along with all the fixings and some other things I cannot remember. I knew the food would be good but what surprised me was the spinach/artichoke dip. It was so creamy and made with fresh spinach. Visiting the Dallas area from Seattle and God DAMN they had some good hot wings and local beers/specialty drinks. Our hostess was Emily and she was EXCEPTIONALLY friendly, gave some fantastic recommendations for some local brews and specialty drinks that were not only fantastic but probably some of the greatest IPA beers I've ever had. Not only was Emily able to be a superbly friendly and inviting hostess with some bomb recommendations, she was also doing all of this WHILE TRAINING A NEW HOSTESS, god damn give this girl a raise. Came in here this past weekend while we were in Dallas. We used to love Fox N Hound while we were in Albuquerque so Everytime we are in Dallas or Houston or San Antonio we try to find one of these. They had the best nachos. .. They meaning the F N H in Albuquerque. . . . not Dallas. I was so disappointed in these nachos. they were good but not great. I think I can count how many actual beans were on the nachos. ...there were that few..and that is surprising to have more blk olives and tomatoes than beans b/c lets face it beans are super cheap. I think they were in a hurry maybe and put them together just super fast. That's ok. Ill keep trying each one in the dfw area till i find one that is close to what we had in the ABQ. Good waitress, she checked on us often and makde sure we had enough to drink. she was chipper but not overly chipper.. That perfect amt you know? Id come back.. but after trying the rest of them in town in search of the perfect nachos! oh and as for the TVs. what I enjoyed about NFL game day is they had a chart as you walked in that had a print out of where every game woudl be playing and on what tv. This place was a bit hard to find. We walked in and they checked IDs. We then sat down at a booth. Crystal was our waitress I believe and she was very attentive. I got the parmesan crusted fries, with the Tequila Lime and Hot Wings ranch sauce. My coworker got wings as well. She got a fireball and I got a mango margarita. I liked the fact Crystal asked if I wanted my fries out before my entree (I was starving)! The fries came out fairly quickly and it looked like a little bit of fries because the basket was big. But the fries were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. It was nice and crunchy & fresh! Best fries Ive had from a bar! My wings then came out shortly (I was devouring my fries and wings came out before I finished them). Wings were cooked to perfection! The food came out really fresh! Even my coworker agreed and she's quick to call if something is wrong! Crystal was nice by asking if we needed water as well even though we had drinks (thats a plus) sometimes water drowns my food better than drinks do. All in all good expierence. We then played pool afterwards and that was fun. I really don't think this is too much of an English Pub at all, but it is definitely a place for boozing. So, at least that part they got right. The place is divided up into three sections, a main area in the middle with the bar, and a wing on each side that has tables, a whole slew of TVs, and pool tables. It gets busy even on weeknights, with lots of drunken Texas running around, which can be quite entertaining. What's with having to show my ID at the door and fill out a little card with my information on it? Something to do with the way the county handles liquor at certain establishments is what I heard, but I'm still a bit confused about this. Feels a bit like Big Brother. Anyways, there's lots of beers to choose from, plus an assortment of cocktails. The food is decent, kind of standard bar food that you'd get at comparable places. If you have a short attention span then this is a good place, as the wall of TVs has half a dozen different channels up, with everything from current sporting events to those random snowboarding and skating videos. The servers are cool, and running around bringing drinks to the masses quite quickly. But the one random Hapa server I was introduced to looked at me like I was the Creature from the Black Lagoon or something.
