Parking: Lots of free parking (located in an open-style outdoor mall). Interior: Clean. Modern. Very instagrammable. Service: Sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive. Food: Only came for drinks but will definitely try the food next time! Drinks: The main attraction! Finally - a legitimate cocktail bar in Garland!!! No need to go to Dallas anymore! Lol I ordered the smoked old fashioned and it was just as I expected it to be - possibly even better than how I make it! Haha My wife loved her drink as well! Overall: Will definitely be coming here on a regular basis!

The restaurant is decorated with a modern, upscale vibe. Steak and eggs were delicious and reasonably priced at $18. The Nashville hot chicken and waffles were okay. The chicken was dry, but think that was probably a one off. Our service was great.

We were super excited to try Herb & Ember, and we visited recently for dinner. Not only was the ambiance beautiful and romantic, the drinks and food were delish. The ahi tuna nachos were fantastic; we could have eaten many, many more. I ordered the butter chicken, which was a nice, lighter option, while my husband ordered the French dip. The beef was lean and the sweet potato fries were super yummy. The service was also stand out, with Chef Kadir warmly welcoming us and our sweet server, Heather, being extremely attentive and equally excited for us to try various menu items as we were! Overall, it's a great place for date night or friends' dinner. We took our very well-behaved 3-year-old and he did well, but he was the only kid there. It's an upscale restaurant to bring kids to, although they do have a cache of high chairs just in case and were very welcoming to our toddler and us. Either way, check this place out! Super vibey with wonderful food and great staff. Herb & Ember has the same fantastic owners/chef as the Ferah concepts, and it's easy to see all the expertise at work here. Very nice!

OMG! This restaurant is amazing!! Olivia our bartender/server is amazing!! She is attentive & has a great personality! She will definitely take care of you. Our drinks were superb!! The restaurant has a great vibe & is super cool. Saturday & Sunday they have a brunch menu. We started with expresso martini & basil hayden on an ice rock. Our food was hot and delicious!! My husband ordered steak & eggs. cooked perfectly & only $18. Rib eye steak, scrambled eggs & potatoes. I had chicken marsala and it was delicious. Chicken with gravy and mushrooms and root veggies. So good, especially the brussel sprouts!! I also had a vesper! Most bars do not have the ingredients! It's top shelf vodka and gin and lillet blanc aperitif wine. From James bond era. She made it to Perfection. so good!! There is street parking available. Bathrooms were super clean! Great restaurant, great location, great food, and great service! We will be back!!

    Tiramisu & Rosemary Old Fashioned

Me and my husband were looking for a late night dinner at 10pm and were excited to see the new Herb & Ember was open. The ambience is immediate, low lit and very stylishly decorated. Feels very cozy yet luxurious at the same time. We sat outside and enjoyed the elegant patio. (I also loved the house music!) As I'm 7 months pregnant, I was pleasantly surprised that all the signature drinks can be made as mocktails. We ordered the New York Sour and a mocktail Smash with the Italian caprese flatbread. The drinks were unique and beautiful. The flatbread was absolutely delicious, as I'm used to Caprese dishes typically being bland. The freshness of the tomatoes with crispy string onions, creamy cheese and the acidity of the balsamic worked beautifully. Also as someone allergic to nuts, the nut-free pesto was awesome. We wrapped it up with the tiramisu and a Rosemary old fashioned. The smokiness of the old fashioned was incredible. The tiramisu was light and absolutely loved the raspberry sauce that came with it. (Our amazing waitress Ngan even got us extra of the sauce, she was so attentive and energetic!) Overall, we greatly enjoyed our experience and can't wait to visit again!

Such a great experience trying a new spot in Firewheel! The vibe and ambiance were amazing, felt like a trendy Uptown restaurant without the drive. The food was just as impressive!!! The poke nachos were incredible, and for entrees, the butter chicken and almond crusted Chilean sea bass were perfection. Dessert did not disappoint either, the tiramisu and cookie dough cheesecake were both delicious!! Tom made the best cocktails and Terry's service was outstanding! Overall, I'd definitely recommend it for a date night or a girls' night out without having to leave the suburbs!

Excellent service, ambience and, most importantly--the food was delicious! We went with a party of 5 and everyone loved it. Can't wait to go back

I came in to check out the new spot without knowing much about it, and wow I was blown away. The best poke I have ever had! The tiramisu was presented so beautifully. Wait staff was funny and attentive. The vibe is a little dark and sultry inside, makes for great photos and vibe. The patio is great. So many unique options on the menu. Great experience!

Brick and Bones Backyard is a blue house on the corner of Main St. in Rowlett, Tx, that has been transformed into something magical. This Mexican-Inspired "chicken shop" is offering fried & rotisserie chicken, classic cocktails, and live music in a rustic setting. The menu is diverse and offering all things chicken that is brined 24 hours, fried and can be order breaded or naked( for the gluten-free in you). They also have rotisserie chicken, tenders, sandwiches, salads, bowls and wings, along with unique sides. Poblano mashed potatoes, habanero mac n cheese, mexican corn, etc... often garnished with fresh radish and cilantro around out the menu, with top notch service to boot. Mi marido ordered the breaded fried chicken, mexican corn and poblano mashed potatoes and gravy. The chicken was well seasoned with a great crunch. The potatoes had good flavor, but were barely warm. I can imagine their greatness heated. The mexican corn on the other hand was the real elote deal! The fresh snap of sweet corn, dosed with cotija cheese and spices lives up to the hype! Sweet, spicy, savory, it hit all the flavor profiles. I had the naked chicken with an order crinkle fries(faves) which was greatly appreciated for it's gluten-freeness and flavor. However, it was abit overcooked. Which left it thready and a little dry. The sauce that accompanied it, was needed, but shouldn't have been, while the fries were fresh, but undercooked. The concept and flavors make Brick & Bone standout on the chicken front. Better execution can make it a cut above the rest. Check It Out!

There is a lot to the atmosphere here, both inside and outside, with the inside feeling like an intimate event, and the patio being a party starter. They often have live acoustic music outside, but it isn't brash or overwhelming. Usually one person and a guitar with a small amp. Nothing crazy. I haven't had pizza in one million years, but if I were going to break the streak it would be here. It's got a real artisan feel and taste that can't be beat. **Disappointing Experience at Hermann Marshall**…read more I attended a private event at Hermann Marshall on August 16th, held in their private party room. This was my third time attending a private event at Hermann Marshall, and unfortunately, it was the first time I experienced what I felt was inconsistent and disappointing service. As part of the event, the host offered complimentary mixed drinks served by Hermann Marshall staff. My server was Mary Ann, who I understand is married to the manager/owner. Mary Ann initially served me one complimentary Old Fashioned, which, as usual, was very good. About an hour later, I returned to the bar for another. At that point, Mary Ann placed her hand over the Old Fashioned dispenser and told me they were no longer serving complimentary drinks because the prepaid limit had been reached. She then told me I could purchase one if I wanted another drink. I had no issue with purchasing a drink, so I got my debit card and purchased a smoked Old Fashioned. What I found confusing, however, was that there appeared to be a significant amount of the premixed Old Fashioned remaining in the dispenser. Approximately an hour later, while getting food near the bar, I saw Mary Ann serve another attendee an Old Fashioned from the same container she had previously told me was no longer available for complimentary drinks. I asked Mary Ann why I had been charged for my drink while another attendee was still receiving complimentary Old Fashioneds. Her response was unclear, but she ultimately told me that if I wanted another drink, I would need to pay for it. From what I observed, however, other attendees were continuing to receive complimentary Old Fashioneds within the limit established by the party host. What made the situation particularly disappointing was not having to pay for a drink--I was perfectly willing to do that--but rather the inconsistent treatment and lack of transparency regarding how the complimentary drinks were being distributed. I have been a consistent patron of Hermann Marshall, attending Tuesday Bingo nights, happy hours, and other events, and I have also brought friends with me. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling uncomfortable and disappointed, particularly given the circumstances surrounding the event. I believe all guests should receive consistent and transparent service, regardless of who they are. Based on this experience, I will no longer be supporting Hermann Marshall or recommending HM to friends. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as this was a very different experience from the positive experiences I've had at Hermann Marshall in the past.

There is a certain energy in a restaurant when people trust it, and Creekside has that. We started with the crab and shrimp dip, which came out hot, creamy, and loaded with flavor. It is one of those appetizers that everyone at the table keeps going back to without even thinking about it. For dinner, we ordered the Red Snapper Alexander and the chicken cutlet parmesan, and this is where the night really took off. The red snapper was cooked perfectly, topped with sautéed shrimp in a white wine sauce that added flavor without overwhelming the fish. The balance was impressive, and the presentation matched what you would expect from a much higher priced restaurant. Then there was the chicken parmesan. As Italians, we do not say this lightly, but this dish stood out in a big way. Creekside blends Alfredo and marinara into a creamy, well-balanced sauce that takes a classic and elevates it. The chicken was lightly breaded, the mozzarella was fresh, and every bite delivered. We awarded this dish our Best of the Best for Chicken Parmesan, and that is something we reserve for dishes that truly separate themselves from the rest. Service was excellent throughout the night. Our server Erin was attentive, knowledgeable, and helped guide us to some great choices. One small note, the fish and chips did not quite match the level we had experienced on a previous visit. It was still good, just not at the same level we had come to expect. That said, it did not take away from what was otherwise a fantastic meal. If you are looking for a place that delivers an upscale feel without the upscale price tag, this is it. Great for date nights, family dinners, or just a night out where you want consistently good food.

My friends took me here for my 60th birthday!! Outside of the perfect steaks and stellar service (a great big thank you to Brad our amazing waiter), the music stole the show!! They have this insanely talented musician who performs Friday and Saturday nights starting at 6:30 PM .. he literally has his stage on a landing pad halfway up the staircase with his own little music kingdom. One guy. Several instruments. Electric guitar and saxophone were played effortlessly. You can make requests, which adds to the fun! For example, "Sweet Caroline" was a song that everyone sang along throughout the restaurant lol. Then came something I didn't expect. This musician has made it his personal mission to play our National Anthem on Fridays and Saturdays 7pm sharp. Everyone naturally stood -up, the whole room joined in, hand over their hearts, so much patriotic passion and energy. It was truly beautiful to see people come together in that moment. And just when I thought the night couldn't get better, out came a birthday dessert .. a warm homemade cookie with ice cream and a real sparkler. It was a show stopper!! I haven't seen a sparkler since I was ten lol. Apparently, birthdays are a big deal here, because it felt like every table around us had their own sparkler birthday/ anniversary moment. It was hilarious ... and I loved it! If you're looking for a memorable experience or just a relaxing delicious meal, nothing compares to Texas y'all. TIP: they have valet parking!
