Since this is my favorite pizza in all Western New York, I had timed my trip back to Florida so that I could stop in Tuesday morning and get Pizza to take to Florida and eat along the way because I vividly remember the sign and even the man telling me that the store was open from Tuesday through Saturday from nine until three so I left and drove to Niagara Falls to get there to find out they were closed with a sign on the door, Closed Monday and Tuesday what the ????? read more

The little Bakery is a hidden gem in Niagara Falls . Dough is made fresh daily and the pizza is old fashioned old school delicious I grew up on at Balleristeri's in Buffalo . Simple fresh ingredients in the sauce on this amazing crust with crispy edges, drizzled with EVOO and Fresh Pecorino Romano as soon as it gets out the oven , it's family friendly priced at $13 my favorite number . Pizza Chef Bobbi was slinging pizzas out the oven and couldn't make them fast enough as all her slices were being sold . Stopped in on a Friday afternoon, thankfully got one of the few parking spots near the front door. This place looks like a plain green house from the outside--it doesn't even look like a pizza joint. They do have a lit up sign in the window that tells you they are open, but there's no business name on the building at all--strange. Inside it's pretty basic with a large counter to tell them what you want. There's no tables or chairs. The guy working there mentioned that they are located in a higher crime residential neighborhood. They had two types of pizza, the old fashioned with just sauce, and the regular kind with cheese and pepperoni. I went with a 12 slice half tray of the old fashioned ($11) and a medium sized loaf of bread ($3). The guy was decent at the counter, boxed the pizza, paid by credit card, and I was on my way pretty quick. He did point out that they sell cookies too, which were on display near the entrance. So the old fashioned pizza...it's has thin chewy crust, half an inch of sauce on top with some herbs in it, and a very small amount of cheese sprinkled on top. It pretty much tasted like it looked, pizza crust with lots of cold sauce on top. It was okay, but nothing really that special. And, because there's so much sauce on it, it's very messy to eat, so make sure you have a few napkins nearby. read more

I was one of the most excited people there was when this place first opened. I couldn't believe it. Over time their social media has been more and more vocal about political stuff. I was a bit turned off when I saw they were donating bottled water to the NFPD but was willing to let it slide. Then they changed their profile picture on Facebook to the thin blue line flag. In the midst of rampant police brutality nationwide, and in our own backyard, this is the dealbreaker. When a business makes a political statement, they always risk alienating some customers, and that thin blue line is the line for me. I'm sure that their core clientele is likely to be supportive of their stance, but I'm not going to sell out my principles to a business that behaves this way. read more

Decided to try their pizza and Italian bread today. They are located in the Trusello's backers site of my childhood days. This was the only place my parents could afford since it was $2.00 for a tray of pizza with just a little cheese and sauce. Pepperoni or other toppings were taboo. The bread was delicious and the pizza was just like the original with a heavy tomato sauce. Although it is no longer $2 for a tray. Well worth the trip to NIagara Falls to try this place. read more

3rd stop on the Falls mini pizza crawl. This is the old Trusello's as previous Yelpers have written - the same recipe as the legendary bakery. This place was not easy to find as it's slightly off the street, tiny and no signage. We got the tomato pie slice and it was definitely a homemade sauce and crust - meant to be eaten at room temperature. Liked the nice kick the oregano gave to the sauce as well. They deliver now and seem to be expanding their menu. read more

I literally wept with joy. My dad used to take me here as a kid, and we both missed it when we moved away from the Falls. When I heard they reopened, I made a special trip to pick up a half sheet of old fashioned and bring it to Rochester for the family. It's just like I remember: thin but stable crust, perfect sauce. My dad said he thought the original had more oil on the surface. Guy running the shop was very kind, even though he was working alone. He was hustling. Went again last Saturday morning for some of their traditional old style pizza. There is usually a wait as people are buying it faster than they can make it. Small parking lot means street parking (plenty of street parking available). This is a no frills, privately owned bakery with simplicity, quality products and friendly service. Their bread is simple, super soft and flavorful. The place definately has an old style Italian bakery feel. I loved that unique Pizza Trusello's made back in the old days. The little bakery seems to be keeping the tradition alive. Order a 1/2 or whole tray ahead of your arrival. This bakery can be hard to find so you really have to keep your eyes open when you're driving through the neighborhood. I would recommend also trying the bread. Nice and crusty. This review is for the Little Bakery on Buffalo Ave. i've heard great things about the pizza here so i got a half tray w/pepperoni. Couldn't believe it. One of the worst pizzas i've ever had. Forced down a couple slices but the rest ended up in the garbage. The pizza was completely overcooked on top and undercooked on the bottom. How they managed to pull that off is known only to them. What's for certain is that the person who sold me this garbage pizza knew they had ruined it but let me pay for it anyway. That's borderline theft. Judging by the pictures of their pizzas online, whoever made my pizza either didn't know what they were doing or sat too long on the commode while mine burned. Is there a single pizzeria left in Niagara Falls that can be counted on to turn out good pizzas consistently? After bad experiences at all of them, including this one, i seriously have my doubts. read more

Wonderful "Old Fashoned" pizza and Italian bread! Much like Trucello's Bakery which occupied this location for decades. Nice people and very accommodating! They support local charities, first responders and the SPCA. Sadly they were burglarized this weekend so much damage was done that they may no be able to reopen. DA DA DA DUM I was born in Niagara Falls and am old enough to remember chickens running around at the Market just down from Trusello's. My Gramps lived on Forest Avenue within sniffing distance of the bakery and no other time was finer than going to get that pizza. A bit of stone-baked crust with that olive-oil infused sauce and NO MOZZ only romano. I'm going crazy right now as I write this, having become a cosmopolitan of Buffalo I have secretly driven to the Falls just to see if Trusello's was still open. Fantastic! My wife and I stopped in to try their italian bread and of course their pizza. The taste of their pizza was just like i remember when i use to stop in here for a few slices of Truscellos pizza. Excellent. Same for the italian bread it was great. I also saw they had Ricotta cookies just like Truscellos so of course i had to buy some of them also. Delicious! I highly recommend giving this little jewel of a place a try. read more
