The creativity of the teachers in the lessons and activities is astounding and we are impressed weekly with the new ways they are getting our kids to move. Our children are eager to climb, jump, tumble, and explore, and we know that confidence in physical movement and ability is attributable to the positive experiences and reinforcements they have had at My Gym Vienna. At My Gym, they learn what they are capable of and it is so great as a parent to see them translate not only these skills but that newfound confidence into other areas of their lives. My Gym teachers meet the kids where they are at, appropriately testing their limits whilst more importantly reminding the kids they are "brave" and celebrating them with "we did its!", never too busy to stop to hug or high five a child. The teachers are caring and Ms Angela, the Director, truly puts her heart into every lesson and every child. She knows every kid AND parents' by name and you get the sense that you are part of a family and community, not just a class. When my one child had a minor injury at the center, Ms Angela went above and beyond to provide professional care and also check in how she was doing, even days after the event transpired. At My Gym Vienna, we can trust our children are well cared for and loved by their teachers. Our kids can tumble and play anywhere. They have their whole lives to be athletes (or even gymnasts if thats what they want!). But as a parent, the reason we keep coming back to My Gym Vienna is because getting these lifelong values of joy in movement and self-confidence instilled in them, as well as consistent love from trusting role models, that is truly special and what I am most thankful to My Gym Vienna for. 100/10 recommend! My biggest priority with any gym is safety, for obvious reasons. There is a gym in NoVA where the owner had to step down because of allegations of SA and yet his wife still runs the gym. I would encourage you to research the gym where your child attends and make sure there is no history of improper conduct. Gym America is a safe place for my daughter. That is the top reason why I love it. Of course, even with background checks, you never know, so I regularly check in with my daughter to see how she feels. And she loves Gym America and her coaches. The next reason I love Gym America is because they have responsive customer service. When I returned to the area after living abroad, I emailed a few gyms, and one of the big gyms in the area never even returned my email. Laura, the owner at Gym America, responded the same day. My daughter is now a Level 4 gymnast. One of the things I didn't know until the last few years is that there are two competitive tracks: Xcel and JO. Some of the gyms in the area don't offer JO, which is another reason I chose Gym America. My daughter spends 15 hours a week at the gym and loves it. I think that speaks for itself. If you are reading through these reviews, you might want to weigh one like mine a little more seriously, compared to people who have only spent a small amount of time at the gym. I've had a lot of opportunity to see what the gym is actually like. I'm not saying it's perfect, but I am saying that 1) my daughter has been safe here and 2) that her skills have improved *substantially* since she started here a year and a half ago.

During the birthday parties all attendees have a chance to break a board. Huge highlight for the majority of the children. They also have different themes for the various camps which makes it more unique and interesting for students and instructors. They have great communication prior to the event and share pics during the day for the camps. During drop-off and pick-up they greet the children with bows. The instructors clearly love working there. They know how to balance having fun with teaching new skills and/or providing instructions. Plus, it's very impressive how quickly they learn the students' names. I love watching the children learn the value of respect and discipline. We've already signed up for some weeks of their summer camp too! Lastly, they are a great community member, giving back to the local schools, hosting parents' night out, and always offering deals and promotions.

I went through a lot of stress and silent heartache for my child being at Dulles. I know a good amount of parents that attend this gym and have told me that it is so easy to express any concerns you have with G-Force but I had the opposite experience at Dulles. Think twice before joining Dulles. There is a reason why there are no negative reviews written for this gym. Dulles has many negative reviews for a reason.

My nephews are full of that classic "boys will be boys" energy, and this is a great place for them to play and stay engaged. The customer service has been consistently excellent, and it's clear the staff cares about the kids and the families who come in. It's also a nice bonus knowing their mom gets a little break while the boys are having fun. I highly recommend this kids' gym to other parents and families.

Tumbles is a brand new children's gymnastic studio located right inside the University Mall…read morecomplex. We stopped by for a birthday party and were really impressed by the clean and beautifully decorated venue, friendly staff, and fun activity area that was fun for both toddlers, big kids, and adults alike! For a full hour and a half, children were invited for a guided open play that included a zip line (modified with swing for little kids!), jumping pillow, rock climbing wall, monkey bars, obstacle courses, and more. They even had a special section for younger kids with ride on toys, a ball pit, and bar for them to hang on. I love how they have a dedicated party space for food and drink and a little area that overlooks the gym directly so if your child takes a class you can watch. Handwashing stations and bathroom are also located directly in the building which makes it easy for parents. The gym allowed our party hosts to customize the party with outside food and screens to match the theme. Truly a gem on the birthday party circuit.

I signed up my toddler for Wiggletoes (aimed for 2-3 year olds) which met once a week for 8 weeks…read morefor this location. They offer the classes seasonly across all 3 of their studios (Fairfax, Mosaic, and Alexandria). Wiggletoes was a very foundational class and the teacher, Ms. Jennifer, made every week so fun! She was so warm and engaging. There was a different theme each week which went along beginner ballet moves, storytime, and acting out the story time. The class was only up to 6 children so it didn't feel crowded and each child had enough time for all of the activities. As the parent, you're also expected to be next to your child and engage in a few of the activities which made it fun for bonding. We didn't opt in, but they also host a seasonal recital as well. We were able to purchase the leotard, tutu, and ballet shoes through the studio, which made everything super easy. Unfortunately, my toddler didn't end up loving ballet but I really enjoyed our experience here and the quality time we had together through our weekly classes.

And guess what? Since it is a parent/child class, so have I! Their Wiggletoes class is aimed at 2-3 year olds and teaches the fundamentals of ballet in a really engaging and age-appropriate way. Our teacher Miss Holly is especially adept at dealing with young children, some who have never been in a classroom setting before. She rolls with the punches, makes things fun and the creativity she brings into each lesson is outstanding. Every class is incorporated with a story time + gorgeous, high quality costume. Seeing what they put together has become a highlight of my week. We unfortunately do not have classes right now because #socialdistancing but my daughter has still been applying what she learned at home. She loves to "tendu" all around the house and on our walks.

I love the low ratio of students to teachers which means each child has extra 1:1 time as compared to community center classes where it can be a free for all. The water is nice and warm and the facilities are clean. Their generous makeup lesson policy is a godsend for busy families and allows us to miss classes without feeling guilty. I like booking a double lesson for extra practice time and to minimize driving back and forth. We have been here for nearly two years and have a rolling roster of instructors. Everyone we have met has been extremely fun, nurturing, and overall just wonderful. It is true that teachers will change frequently but my daughter has never questioned it and we feel like the quality is consistent throughout. I also really love how diverse the staff (and other students are). Big Blue is truly a place for all.

She has developed wonderful relationships with her supportive and caring coaches, and her teammates. The coaches have worked with her over the years to help develop her skills at her pace. We are very happy with the family we have found at CAG. Our daughter has also attended summer camps at CAG, which were fun and very convenient with gymnastics practice before and after camp.
