It's August 21st and I've yet to receive a phone call. It's apparent these people don't care about the children and are unprofessional. If I did something like this at my job, I would be fired.

My almost 4 yr old stepped out the mat saying she felt unwell. She was overheating, got very pale, almost passed out, threw up, and we had to lay her down on the floor outside for ventilation. One girl approached us with an ice pack, but nobody else from the staff ever checked on us. Also, at our arrival, the owner just asked me to show him proof of payment and that was it. No welcome, no direction on where to go or what to do. Zero communication. No follow up.

Parents were not pros at identifying the various items out on the floor and it was a minefield to navigate it all so you could easily turn an ankle on equipment. I watched a couple little girls stumble and start crying because of this. The bday had a game that 2 staff members ran but otherwise they were largely absent on the gym floor. There was no instruction, no structure otherwise. Kids wandered between the bounce house to every piece of equipment with total access. As a parent I kept close to my child to help him but I liked other party venues a lot better because they had staff to get involved and show safe ways to use equipment they had put on the floor. On a hot day over 80 degrees there was no a/c except up in the upstairs party room. I was very hot and uncomfortable as were the kids. Thankfully I brought my son's water to keep him hydrated. Everyone was sweaty and gross. Add to that the venue did not require socks, it seemed a ripe environment for athletes foot or other germs to flourish as I did not notice the equipment or mats looked particularly clean. Nobody was cleaning after use either like at other venues. Overall, nice idea but I think staff needs to think about execution of a bday party better. There is a wide variety of equipment but no instruction, little space between the equipment, and random jump boards everywhere that I don't think 5 yr olds were equipped to navigate well.

After summer, I was placed in a different group with a new, inexperienced coach and significantly younger athletes. Despite the challenges, I stayed committed and continued working hard. I actually never missed a single practice in the 4 and a half months I was there. There were ongoing issues within the group (specifically one girl) that made the environment uncomfortable, and although they were brought to the coaches' attention multiple times, nothing was effectively addressed. A month before our first competition--after we had already begun learning routines--I received an email stating that I was no longer welcome at the gym. I was given no clear explanation, no prior warning, and no opportunity to discuss or resolve anything. Being removed from a team this way, especially right before competition season, was extremely upsetting and unprofessional. I would strongly encourage better communication and fairness when handling athletes in the future.

The environment here seems like they are putting a show rather than actual teaching methods and passing down the experience. Just seems like coach Madelyn was a prime example of that.
