A cute little cafe tucked in the back of Hoboken! I still take my pup to the vet nearby even after leaving Hoboken so our tradition since Local opened up has been to stop in after his appointments for a little treat for me (usually in the form of an oat milk latte or matcha) and a little treat for him (they keep milk bones at the register). The baristas are always super sweet, it is never too busy inside and I love perusing the wall of locally made goodies like ceramics, candles, etc. They don't have much seating besides the counter along the front and a couple big comfy chairs in the back, but it is perfect for a quick pop in. Stumbled upon this little coffee shop while out for a walk. The name fits it perfectly because it's little and it's nestled in the middle of the block. It's easy to miss. It's a small cozy coffee shop with one or two seats in the back and two seats at the window. Definitely not a place for a group to sit. I ordered a cappuccino with almond milk. It was very good. Good quality coffee. They had some small pastries there as well. There was one barista and he was very nice and inviting. The shop is a good place to stop in on a morning stroll and if you can get one of the seats it's probably good to bring a book since it's a quiet space. read more

I love floral flavors and the lavender really balanced out the bitterness of the cold brew. It could've used a bit more oat milk to make it smoother. Used to come here all the time but theyve really started cutting corners. The chai and matcha used to be fresh, the chai was brewed in house and the matcha was whisked for everyone fresh. The chai is now disgustingly sweet and from concentrate and the matcha comes in a squeeze bottle. Not good. I'm kind of sad to give this rating, but I didn't have the best experience here - it's a small coffee shop that's easy to miss, and I walked in with high expectations since I read good reviews before and wanted to try a new coffee spot in Hoboken. However, there was only one person working there and the espresso machine stopped working. The barista was very nice and offered to make me another drink but it took quite a while. If I'm being honest, I probably wouldn't come back here compared to other places in Hoboken but it's reasonably priced. read more

Stumbled upon this little café after going to Fiore's, and needed a cold drink for the long, hot walk home. I was looking for an iced tea of some sort and the super nice employee there let me know that they only had hibiscus tea at the moment but could brew a different one in a few minutes if I wanted. Great little addition to the West side of Hoboken! Its small but beautifully decorated with soothing colors in shades of creams and beiges and macramé accents. There's a little shopping section with tee shirts and knick knacks for purchase. Some seating at the window overlooking the street and a tiny seating area in the back. They also put out a table and a couple of chairs outside when the weather is nice. Staff is always courteous and polite every time I've visited. read more

Had the honeycomb latte with extra honey and oat milk and I loved it. It's really hard to find a place that does a honey latte well, and this one was less than $6, sufficiently sweet for me, and with the vanilla and cinnamon it had great flavor. Will definitely be coming back! read more

I came to Hoboken for the day, and found this little coffee shop nestled on adams st, it was later in the day so I didn't need caffeine, and received a recommendation for the golden latte. She said it had turmeric, cinnamon, honey, and was told to go for oat milk and vanilla. It literally tasted like cinnamon toast crunch milk! She said it was her favorite. We had a really fulfilling conversation as well. I wish I could come here every day. She totally made my day! She was so friendly and so sweet to my dog. Thank you Vasillya! Many of the issues that they were struggling with seem to have been addressed. The barista is incredibly friendly, the owner greeted me upon arrival and the coffee is very good. A very cute hole in the wall local coffee shop. This place is no nonsense and straightforward. The menu is simple and limited but for a local coffee shop it does the trick. I ordered a matcha latte and enjoyed my drink. A few pros: they seem to be into community engagement and support other local businesses. Quick service and very polite baristas. It's a very laidback and chill vibe Cons: not too many but I did think it was over priced. Almost double what I'd get at other coffee shops. But maybe the support toward local businesses is worth the price. Another con is that they close very early. Hard to get there in time for my afternoon caffeine fix. read more

The best iced lattes in all of Hoboken. The Little Local is a small coffee shop hidden in the neighborhood, but it's by far my favorite place to grab an iced latte. Because of its size, it's easy for a small line to build up, but you're going to get a thoughtfully made coffee every time. My only frustration is the punchcards! I come here very regularly, but keeping a punchcard on me is a hassle. Most coffee shops in the area use the rewards system built into the POS system, which is more convenient these days. read more

I was super excited to have this local coffee shop open around the corner from me. Literally a 3 minute walk. So far, so good. I come fairly regularly since it opened. They have all the nondairy options I prefer (nut, oat, and soy milks). They have a much smaller drink menu than you would see at one of the chain places and I think it works in their favor. Focus on the drinks that people order most often and do them well, which they do. As business grows and they are able to see what the customers like, I am sure the menu will expand. They also serve some desserts, but I cannot really comment as I am not much of a dessert person and have not tried them. The staff is super friendly and fun to chat with. Ambience is very cool and feels more homey, rather than manufactured and sterile like the chain places. Looking forward to having them as my neighbors for a long time. And the staff was friendly and fast. Literally everything you want from a coffee shop. My wife has gone a couple times now and they already know her name and her order.
