The Little Store LITERALLY has the to go market cornered. We love out of the way places that take pride in their regular offerings and specials. We were intrigued after all the complimentary posts on the Sauglasville Facebook page. Staff was friendly and walked this (local) first timer through the ordering and pick up process. TLS has tons of snacks, booze, soups, and even some light groceries. If you're on your way home after a long day and want to make one (easy, all inclusive) stop, then TLS got you. Pizza is definitely their mainstay and they bake 'em well. Yes, the pizza is great in texture and flavor, but we ALSO enjoyed the to go burger special. read more

It was 905am just stopped for simple cup of coffee. Guy behind the counter was on his phone (no big deal). Went to pour coffee and it was not even turned on. I asked the clerk about it and he said I forgot to turn it on. Ok. But, then he doesn't even come out to remedy the issue. Laziness at it finest. read more

Best fried chicken in SW Michigan!! We discovered it a couple months ago and now we get their chicken at least once a week.

I stay at a place close to here most of the summer, and I know if I need something, I can usually find it here. Granted, they usually only have one or two of a particular item, but I've never left not getting what I intended to pick up. I usually do lunch or dinner once or twice a week here. The pizzas are pretty tasty and reasonably priced. Order by the slice or call in and order a whole pie ahead of time. Most of the other food items are fried though.. although the tamales are new and they're growing on me. read more

We had a large crowd over the 4th of July for our annual Fishing Contest. I called a day ahead to order 4 - 16 piece chicken meals. The staff was so accommodating. And most importantly, the chicken was delicious!!!!! I would definitely recommend The Little Store! read more

I have been here a few times now since new ownership. There is currently no overhead menu displayed. You have to use a paper menu on the counter with no prices on it. You have to stand in line to ask for prices then step back out of line to make your decision.....then back in line to make an order. Of course you could just hold up the line and do this all at once. The cashier has to go back to the kitchen to find out if the items are available and how long before the order would be ready for pick-up. I'm not kidding this is actually the process for ordering chicken. Often times your second trip back in line ends with we don't have enough spicy chicken etc. If they have your items in stock your order might take anywhere from 30 min to 105 min in my experience. How can you plan a family take-out dinner with this hassle. If you have the time and patience to deal with the odd way of how they do business then maybe this is the place for you. After running out of patience on my last visit and leaving without ordering due to this confusion I decided my last trip there would truly be my LAST trip there. I'm a true foodie and I can tell you the pizza sucks despite all the good reviews but the chicken is very good. read more

Ordered the 8 piece chicken and it was not good at all. Very little breading and it was all soggy and dripping with oil. Very bland and off tasting and too much salt. Probably the worst fried chicken I've had. One tip is to not put fried chicken in a sealed box right out of the fryer. That should be obvious but I guess it's not. read more

9/19 update. The Store has GREAT CHICKEN. We ordered wings for 1/2 time. Tried to order a Dozen wings and a pizza. Could not order a dozen wings! Had to order 6 wings. WTF? Order more chicken as you always seem to run out. This is NOT the the first time. Again, your chicken is second to none. But, you run out. Order MORE CHICKEN WINGS. read more

Look up "one stop shop" and you'll find the Little Store! Its namesake is quite the paradox as you can literally find everything you'll need here. In a single shopping trip you can leave with a movie rental, a fishing license, bullets for a .22, a mountain dew, ice cream, picture frames, lottery tickets, freshly baked pizza, a 6-pack of Busch, a quart of oil, and those cool rubber band bracelets shaped like animals. I just want to update my review since I stopped by yesterday and was much happier with the experience. What I'm referring to is the pizza that I used to love, but on my last visit was disappointed with. On my most recent visit the pizza sauce was much better and the pizza actually reminded me of the pizza they used to serve. I guess my previous experience must have just been a one time fluke and thankfully is not the norm.
