This is a during covid review. During covid every other patio I've been to (several) have been able to provide ice water this summer and fall. Especially when it's 100F. Not providing free water is absolutely ridiculous and should be illegal like it is in Arizona. Water is a big deal for me, and when you can serve sodas with refills, you should be able to serve tap water with refills (a healthier alternative). Otherwise, the food is the same. read more

She greeted me and welcomed me to the local brewhouse, handed me a menu and asked if I'd like to have a drink. I asked her for a recommendation and she said the blonde is a good one. She gave me a small sample, it was good but I was in the mood for something fruity and had a sample of the watermelon cider. It was very good. That was what I asked her for my drink. Well the service here is horrible!! Me and my husband came in for a beer. We went to the outdoor area, sat at a table thinking a server would come over and ask us what we'd like, but that NEVER happened. The waitress's walked by us several times never said a word. The bar is a bit dark, but if you prefer some awesome Views and fresh air the patio area has plenty of room. Karaoke is fun, and the staff is beyond amazing! Heather, the manager, is awesome! The food is above average. The beer selection is awesome. Got to enjoy our nachos, (I mean totally enjoy them, with real, house cooked beans, shredded and nacho cheeses, well cooked, not greasy ground beef, ample sliced fresh jalapeños, and a side of salsa, which we poured right on top, fresh, tasty, great chip to topping ratio here!) while NOT shivering from the cold on the patio, sitting at a great table in the back of the bar, quiet enough to have great conversation, and tentative servers stopping by to check on us and to chat. The only shivering we did was when we picked up our icy cold pints, and sipped of the Bosque and Marble brews of our choices. There's a rolling digital sign out front that scrolls to "coldest beer in town"....they ain't lying! So wonderful to have enjoyed inside, oh, kinda like normal people used to do once upon a time! Maybe 20% occupancy and we waited 10 minutes before I had to greet the waitress because she never made eye contact with us the several times she walked by. I waited almost 5 beside her while she worked on the refister. I finally asked if we seat ourselves and she said yes. I had to then ask for menus and she said she would be with us in a minute. 10 minutes later of her walking past without any eye contact again, we left. That's 30 minutes we won't get back. We also won't be back. Its a shame when you try to support local businesses and this happens. LJS got our money for fish Friday. read more

I drove way out of my way to support Steve and the Local Brewhouse recently. It was totally worth it! Our waitress Jess was amazing. She was really fun and attentive. We got the fried pickles, fried mushrooms and mozzarella sticks. The portions were great and they were all yummy (my pictures were well after we started eating them)! My vanilla stout beer was amazing too (thanks for the samples before we decided Jess)! I got the Steve burger with side salad and it did not disappoint. I had to take half of it home. My brother got the Bleu burger and he really enjoyed it. My friend got the wings and he said they were great! They do not have a full menu or specials yet and the prices are a bit higher. That's to be expected after being shut down for months. Also if you want water you need to purchase a bottle. Again, it's not business as usual so no biggie. Decided to go out for happy hour one Friday night and BOOM. wound up with a hangover and some great memories. This is a bar. It's not a brewery. That being said, it's probably one of the best bars in town on a Friday night. Yes I said best. Not nicest, or fanciest, or anything like that. They just have a great vibe going on in there. Our bartender was super nice and charismatic. They had probably 20 awesome local beers on tap as well as a full bar. I drank desert fog by marble which is one of my favorite beers pretty much all night. And then the karaoke started. Me and my fiancé sang our asses off with a bunch of other semi talented people well into the the night and everyone had a great time. The room was full but not packed. Everyone had a seat. Food was great. We had the nachos and the fried mushrooms. Both were tasty bar food. Not super fancy but got the job done for sure. All in all the place has a great atmosphere with friendly faces and fun karaoke, decent enough food and tons of beer choices. What's not to love? read more
