A great find!!!! Really knowledgeable & totally helpful on helping us pick out an amazing selection! Got the beer Sampler which was the best Choice, we got to try 8 different beers together. Kilt lifter was easy to drink, Tangerjne had a great nose & tasted just as well, Trigo smelt fruity & tasted like grapefruit, Hazy was one of my favorites & the peanut butter one.....WOW! I've tried a peanut butter beer meh, but this one....WOW! All of them where easy to drink & I would totally do it again. This is definitely a place to come for a friendly & fun experience! Celebrated a birthday weekend here. They have pizza to buy, and great drinks to choose from. Watched sports on the panel of tellys they have, and got to catch a UFC fight as well. This a cool place to hang out at and enjoy time with friends. It was my first time coming here, but I can picture myself coming back. So we saw the reviews for this bar and we came in. I loved how the owner immediately brought out the bottle of Nelsons whiskey which we tried in Tennessee which is my favorite whiskey I've ever tried. The atmosphere is extremely relaxing and the amount of whiskey is intimidating to some but the staff makes it very easy-going. We the people in the bar are very nice and fun. I highly recommend this bar to anyone stopping by it is definitely off the beaten path but worth the trip. The owner is very kind and he hires a nice staff that interact with you and explain the drinks to you. It's great for an adventure and any whiskey drinkers. You cannot go wrong at this bar. I've been here only once but I can already tell The Local is our new local bar to go to. We came here for a 8am World Cup match on a Saturday and had such a blast. Mikey provided exceptional hospitality and made us feel like we were back in Ireland! Now If you've never been to Ireland, what made the country special to me were the people. This place is great when it's not packed. Great for them but kinda sucks for us, especially on taco night. They have tv's on every wall so you can see the sport events showing, I like that. Great beers on tap and a laid back vibe. The people who work there are great and make you feel welcome. Good vibes. There is only one restroom so keep that in mind when you drink. Went in early May with a friend so this review is longer overdue, however have to say this place is quite the little gem in the area. It opened 2pm on a Sunday and was super popular and packed already by ten after. The standouts were actually the cocktails (or I should say that I only got the cocktails and nothing on tap). Mikey's cocktails are better than some of the best restaurants in LA. First tried the gin fizz on the menu, that was solid. Asked for an amaretto sour off the menu and was surprised by a beautiful modern version with egg white and bourbon. Then Mikey saved an awful vesper recipe I got off the internet, so the whole experience was truly unique and tailor made. Give The Local a go! read more

The only thing I don't like about this bar, is that Mikey is from Laois. Which is basically the the worst part of Ireland. If only he was from a more prominent area like cork, I'd frequent this spot more often. read more
