That Golden Bird Chicken sandwich was everything! It took a while to get it but it was definitely worth the wait. Everyone in my group enjoyed their food. The waitress that we had was great. She was very busy but she didn't forgot about us. The music wasn't all that great but that's ok because the food definitely made up for it.

The atmosphere is very fun and inviting. The location is on Spring Garden close to UNCG. My waitress was very pleasant. I ordered a $7 Tuesday margarita and a cheese steak egg roll. Everything was really good. It's a great place to just hang out.

Hidden gem with great food, drinks, and vibe! We were invited by the co-owner to come check out Bites & Pints, and I'm so glad we did. It was our first visit, and it definitely won't be our last. I had the southwest quesadilla with fries, my husband ordered the burger with kitchen fries, and we also tried the chicken sandwich with fries. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and prepared with real care. One thing I truly appreciated was how they packed the loaded fries -- they put the toppings on the side without me even having to ask so the fries wouldn't get soggy. That small detail says a lot about how thoughtful they are with takeout. For drinks, I had a guava margarita (so good), and my husband had a Paloma, which he really enjoyed. The space itself is super inviting, and I loved the creative license plate wall -- such a cool touch. You can tell they've put a lot of love into upgrading the space, and it really shows, especially as the sun starts to go down. We were on a tight schedule, so we ended up taking our food to go, but we're already planning to come back and fully dine in. This is definitely one of those spots you'll want to keep in rotation. Great food, great drinks, great vibe, and thoughtful service. Highly recommend supporting this local spot!

Bites & Pints in Greensboro is an absolute gem--especially if you're a fan of great chicken wings and even better service. The wings are easily the star of the show: perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. Whether you like them classic or with a little extra kick, they definitely don't disappoint. What really made the experience stand out, though, was the customer service. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure everything came out just right. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers, which makes a huge difference. I'm very grateful that they were very considerate when I drove over for over an hour and found out they were turning customers away due to a leak problem in the kitchen. They did accommodate our request to get our order and have it to go! The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making it a great spot to hang out with friends, catch a game, or just enjoy some seriously good food. If you're in Greensboro and craving wings, Bites & Pints should be at the top of your list. I'll definitely be back!

Bites and Pints is a small establishment off spring garden street, that offers burgers, wings, chicken, tacos, and dogs. I tried the shrimp tacos and they were pretty good. Had three large shrimp on each soft taco shell topped with slaw, cheese and spicy mayo. My daughter got the fried chicken tacos minus the toppings with only cheese. My daughter said that the chicken had good flavor. We also tried their burgers, which were hand pattied not frozen. They had good seasoning. The French fries were also good and seasoned. The restaurant was clean and the staff were attentive and helpful. It was a nice place, just nothing that stood out about our visit.

If you're looking for a local place with good food to take friends or family, Bites & Pints just might be your place. Solid bar food, with some fun twists (like chicken & waffles). We had a big group (20+), and our server handled it with ease. Our food came out quickly, and accurately. They also accommodated the kids in our group, which is always a plus for this parent. My go-to is the Breakfast Burger, and it's one of my favorites in the Triad. It was cooked perfectly, and topped with an over-easy egg, with the yolk running over my fresh and crispy tots. Pro tip: add some Texas Pete to your burger. Our kids gobbled up their tots...and ours. They were perfectly crispy and hot. My husband had the Bites & Pints burger and said it was one of the best burgers he's had. My friend had the chicken & waffles, and he said it was outstanding. Bites & Pints is one of those cozy, local places with really good food. Pay them a visit, and you won't be disappointed!

Disclaimer: I'm hoping my experience was unique, for my sake, your sake, and the sake of the employees. I came to Bites & Pints because I had a craving for fried pickles and I'd read that theirs were great, and they absolutely lived up to the hype -- crispy, flavorful, and served with ranch that passed this Midwest girlie's test. We also had the Southwest Philly egg roll appetizer (after deciding we weren't trying to stay there long enough to have entrees). They were...okay I guess, (more Southwest than Philly, definitely served with a nacho cheese instead of beer cheese), but I digress. The atmosphere inside, though, was rough. Everyone looked and acted like they didn't want to be there. First, we sat within earshot as the manager (I'm assuming) argued with the bartender about staying later just to take our order. He eventually came over and got our drinks and appetizer in, but it felt begrudging at best. Then Sarah, our server, stepped in -- she was upbeat, kind, and doing her best to keep things positive -- but right after, he sprung a scheduling change on her within earshot of us, telling her an hour and a half before closing that she'd be working the morning shift. As someone who's worked in the service industry, it gave me flashbacks in the worst way. Sarah was the saving grace of the night, but the overall vibe inside was stressful and unprofessional. It honestly ruined both mine and my husband's mood to the point where instead of going out for desert or a night cap, we just went home. I'll be back for the fried pickles, but I'll definitely sit outside next time -- the patio is adorable and seems like the better move.

Food just wasn't good at all this time and wait staff wasn't on point either. Never was asked if I needed a drink refill and took too long for everything. We won't be wasting money here again!

I got the burger with tator tots and fries and was very satisfied. The burger was fairly juicy and had good flavor. It came with some sauce on it that I am not sure what it consisted of but was good and not overwhelming. The fries and tator tots were good and I would get them again as a side or as an appetizer with a drink. We did not go inside but the outdoor patio seating was pleasant and spacious. The service was great, they made sure we never had an empty glass checked to make sure we had everything we needed. Would recommend to try if you've never been.

    Shrimp Taco

Went here on a Tuesday evening. Plenty of seating inside and outside. We had shrimp tacos, loaded tots and Philly cheesesteak. Get the loaded tots!!! I think they are called kitchen tots- the best! The shrimp tacos were some of the best I have ever eaten. Will definitely be back.

Stopped in for dinner again with a group of about 20 people after our run club's annual run through Sunset Hills' xmas display. We called ahead, and they were gracious enough to get a table set up for our group. Arriving after a chilly runny, we were warmly welcomed and provided menus. They've got a full bar, with a pretty decent beer selection. They also have a pretty good variety of items on their menu, though all are pretty much bar food. The waitress came through taking our drink orders first and once the drinks had been distributed, she made another pass for food orders. This time, I was in a burger mood, and decided to try the Breakfast Burger, with cheese, egg over easy and bacon, with tots as my side. Considering the size of our group, they were able to turn the food out pretty quickly, and it tasted great. The overeasy egg definitely made it messy, but it was still good, and helped fill my hunger. If I did it again, i may ask to have the egg a little more cooked, as a runny egg typically isn't my thing. In the end, it was a great time, with good food, and good friends. The waitress did a great job handling our crowd, and remained patient with our shenanigans. Would definetly recommend, if you're in the area and looking for some good bar food.

Firstly, food was delicious! Came here with some girlfriends for a quick dinner and drinks. I ordered the chicken and waffle sandwich which was very flavorful and good. They both got burgers which they enjoyed! The outdoor seating area is spacious and even has a dinosaur for photo ops. Unfortunately, service this day was struggling, but not by fault of the restaurant. A wait staff member quit during the dinner rush and I was so impressed by the waitress that had to take on not only the indoor seating but outdoor as well. Because of the above incident, our food and drinks took a while to come out and we never got our second drink order. I would love to come back another time for another try! Major accolades to the waitress that took over it all.

Dodging a huge rainstorm we decided to sit at the bar and the staff was very friendly and attentive. We sampled a beer or two before deciding on a couple suds and the poutine appetizer while we decided on the main event. The place was fairly busy and they do have a decent outdoor patio also. It's a chill, hole in the wall, neighborhood watering hole type of place. We chatted with a few locals and my wife and I enjoyed the atmosphere. They had some great beers on tap including several from Foothills brewery and also full liquor bar to send a few rounds for any occasion. I settled on the Mad Haddock (I know who orders the fish at a burger place) and my lady had French onion burger. The deep fried asparagus was a playful side that was memorable. We both really enjoyed the choices. The fries could've been more crisp but overall they were passable. The haddock sandwich was incredible and that tartar sauce was incredible. The sandwich was one of those that you don't put down after a few bites. I enjoyed the food, friendly service and conversation with locals. They recommended a bottle shop connected to a laundromat not far away but we had to get back on the road. If you are in the Greensboro area Hops is worth a stop for happy hour, lunch or dinner.

I ordered the Jalapeño Popper Burger special, and it was phenomenal. Juicy, cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of heat and all the flavors you'd expect from a great jalapeño popper. Easily one of the better specialty burgers I've had. They also have a great beer and wine selection, which made it easy to find the perfect pairing with our meal. If you're traveling and looking for something far better than the usual fast food off the interstate, Hops Burger Bar is absolutely worth the quick detour. It was quiet inside, but that didn't deter the staff from efficiently taking our order and getting us burgers hot and fresh within about 15-20 minutes! I like that it's an order at the counter place, with a very distinct feel of getting a higher end burger at a place with waiter service. I think more restaurants would greatly benefit to change to this model, not everything needs a waiter, and customers are generally happy to handle getting their own drinks while saving the tip. Anyhow, I went with the smashburger special, two smashed out patties topped with American cheese, pickles, onions, shredded lettuce, and burger sauce. I got tots for my side, because frankly, I think tots are the superior potato consumption method. The patties had a nice crust on them, plenty of beefy grilled flavor, nicely seasoned. The cheese and onions provided balance, and acidic hits from the pickle topped it all off. Very tasty. The tots were fried crispy just how I like them. Everyone else at the table had a similar premium experience with their items, and we all agreed this was a great pivot. We'd come back!

While the exterior is a far cry from the "vibrant patio" the restaurant description promises, the interior opens into a clean, bright space, which is more spacious than one might expect. On the front counter you will see an artistically designed menu board, depicting the many creative offerings available here. When I invited my coworkers to join me here for lunch, 2 immediately began ardently affirming my choice, regretful they could not join me but promising I would love it. In this moment, vague memories of them talking about this "really good burger place at the gas station" for months on end began to come back to me, as I realized they had been indirectly recommending it for a while. On the other hand, my 3rd coworker, who was in a separate room and had not heard their high praises, told me that it was "overrated" and "fine but not that special." Lol. Needless to say, I had absolutely no idea what to make of it all when I arrived. When I walked in, the woman behind the counter asked if I had ever been there, before patiently walking me through the various sections of the menu and helping me pick something out. I settled on the Popper Topper, which promised Cajun spices and fried jalapeño coins, among other various toppings. At its smallest size (big), it only cost $10.99. I also ordered bacon and cheddar fries. My initial impressions upon receiving my food (quite quickly, I might add) is that 1) the restaurant's name is perfect and 2) this is a very good quantity per dollar and an absolutely absurd calorie per dollar meal, especially in 2025. For right at $20, I got a huge burger and enough fries to satiate 2-3 people. I cannot fathom what the larger burger sizes look like, much less who could possibly be ordering them. The fries were everything I could have asked for -- crispy, salty, and with a very generous amount of both cheddar sauce and bacon (the perfect amount to have sauce on every bite but not be soggy). The burger was good, and definitely satisfied that primal craving for salt and fat that we all carry with us from hunter-gatherer days gone by. However, I wouldn't say it was particularly spicy, nor did its flavor deviate significantly from any generic burger I could order. Don't get me wrong, it was still delicious, but I was a little disappointed. I think that the fried jalapeño coins are breaded a little on the thicker side, which somewhat mutes the spice and slight acidity that they would otherwise add to this dish, to help cut through and brighten the other flavors. All in all, I had a great meal and would totally come back, but I don't think I've tried the "perfect" burger from here yet. Definitely going to recommend this to anyone in the area.
