Treated the kiddos to lunch at a restaurant next door and when we walked out they saw The Local Scoop across the courtyard and I just couldn't say no... We were delighted to find that in spite of a bustling crowd outside at other establishments - we were the only guests that ventured inside for ice cream! We felt like VIPs... the employee was the most friendly and patient I've ever encountered ( so sorry I forgot her name - but she is an absolute gem of a human) There is a delicious assortment of ice cream flavors to choose from! We enjoyed Cookie Monster, Apple Cider Sorbet (seasonal), Honey Vanilla and Butter Pecan. I strongly recommend The Local Scoop for ice cream and the cute decor and photo opportunities!

I don't eat as much ice cream as I used to, but recently I had a hankering, and luckily for me the Local Scoop was right nearby. Located in one of my favorite shopping centers in the city Parktowne Village, this small little ice cream shop has some amazing flavors. What's more is that if you are having a hard time deciding, the employees are very friendly and will let you try a sample. From you basic flavors like chocolate or vanilla, to your more unique flavors like banana foster, the ice cream is fresh and all of their ingredients come from local farms. Not much else to say other than if you want a delicious frozen treat and are in the area then you have to come in.

Tasty ice cream locally sourced. Love it! They have peanut butter ice cream! What's not to love about that with chunks of Reese's cups which are my favorite. Can't wait to try the one closer to home.

Ralph and his staff are so kind and patient. They are very inviting and desire for you to have the best experience possible. And can't forget, the ICE CREAM IS DELICIOUS!

Possibly the best ice cream I've ever had. Owner was super nice and let us try a bunch of flavors. Both my wife and I really loved our choices and it was just so so good! Fast, friendly and affords. Huge scoops, too!

Great employees. The pumpkin ice cream was to die for. Heavy cream but delicious. Tasting flavors I wanted to eat every single one.

Customer service was amazing BUT....This was the worst ice cream I have ever tasted. The flavors were just awful.

On this particular visit, I sat on the patio, which I had never done before, but it was nice and quiet and very relaxing on a Sunday evening. I ordered the cheesecake and it was garnished with caramel popcorn, which added a nice touch to look at, but the popcorn was stale so I don't really think it was necessary, but it did make the plate look pretty. The cheesecake was delicious. Couldn't finish it all, but I took it home and finished it the next day. Our server was great. She was very attentive, friendly, and gave good suggestions. But a good friend of mine said that they go all the time and haven't had any issues and wanted to get me to try it again. So, we went on a Saturday evening around 6ish. We didn't necessarily have any issues getting in, but the hostess did say that her security might have an issue with the shirt my friend had on, even though he was very dressed up. It made me uncomfortable and seemed threatning almost. But she let us in and everything was fine. I don't understand why Crave always acts this way. But then when I walk in I see people of non-color dressed any kind of way, casual, etc. It just really rubs me the wrong way and for it to happen to me EVERY time I go, only leads me to one conclusion... So, anyway. We were there and we ordered hookah drinks and had a good time. Our server was super sweet and chill. She really saved the visit. I had a good time, but I most likely will not be back again.

The shop is very small, they have a good selection of flavors, and it is all dairy, egg, and gluten free. You honestly would never know! It tasted exactly how ice cream should. Great mouth feel, rich, but not sweet. We tried the chocolate with cookies and Oreo pieces and the mint chip. Very very tasty. Again, if they did not tell you this was dairy free, you could not tell at all. They offer tastes, you can get one or two scoops or waffle cones, or ice cream sandwiches, and I think you can ask for sprinkles. They have a friendly staff behind the counter. They are also cashless, so be sure to have a credit card here. I would definitely come back for another flavor, I was really wowed by this ice cream. If you are in Camp North End, stop in for a scoop.

So which version are customers supposed to believe? Regardless of who is saying what, the outcome is the same. They lost several customers yesterday, and we will not be returning after this experience. After talking to a lawyer, they believe this is predatory enforcement, and we will file a complaint with the North Carolina Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division and with the Better Business Bureau. Two Scoops Creamery on Central Avenue went from being one of our favorite spots to somewhere we will never return in less than a minute. We met up with a group of friends there today. Before grabbing ice cream, we briefly stopped into Sin City next door. As one of our friends was walking in, he noticed cars in the shared parking lot were actively being booted. We had been there maybe 15 minutes. Apparently, if you step into the neighboring business at all -- even if you're planning to purchase from Two Scoops immediately after -- they will boot your car and demand $275 to remove it. We spoke directly with the staff at Two Scoops and explained that we were simply meeting up and didn't realize stepping next door wasn't allowed. The response was essentially, "Too bad." There was no grace, no warning, no attempt at understanding -- just an immediate $275 penalty. It feels like an incredibly predatory and unethical practice, especially for loyal customers who intended to support the business. We didn't even stay for ice cream, and we won't be back.
