I came to the Lodge when they opened in Oceanside, California. The Lodge opened up within Northern Pine brewing and they replaced T. B. G., Which was a local favorite barbecue spot. The Lodge was unique in a way because they had built an outside patio with fire pits and extensive seating for groups. It was a great meeting spot for friends to grab a burger and beer. The drinks would be provided by Northern Pine Brewing, and the food menu would be provided by the Lodge. I like that there was ample parking in the lot, which was shared by the entire shopping plaza. The interior was also very spacious and had a very "wooden themed motif". I like their portion sizes and I remember liking my bison burger and my beer battered cheese. Overall, this was a good spot, but I guess it didn't get enough publicity, and they soon shut down. read more

I wasn't feeling the best so I ordered the tomato soup, the roasted veggies, and a biscuit. I swear this was the best tomato soup I've ever had. Veggies and biscuit were great too. Can't wait to check it out in person and try more things. read more

Our second time visiting since they opened and I'd say the food has gotten so much better! It was very quiet when we went but it was the lull post lunch and before dinner. We ordered the fries, steak fries, the roast beef plate and the biscuit. Everything was crazy good - in particular the roast beef and steak fries and I don't usually eat much red meat! The food is great quality - personally I'd love to see some healthier options on the menu as well but this is certainly a delicious treat! read more

Great find! Excellent quality, great flavor, massive portions, exceptional value for the money. Burgers thick and juicy. Fries perfectly cooked and seasoned. Biscuits unique and flavorful. Fried chicken juicy, crispy, tasty. To compare, you can pay double this price for less than half the size size chicken/biscuit with no sides, no flavor, dry as a bone biscuit and tough greasy chicken at California English. But why would you? The service was super friendly and helpful, the environment is surprisingly great - don't lose confidence when you navigate the parking area and see the outside - trust me. Great beers available from the brewery on the other side of the building. Can't miss. read more

They had big shoes to fill following that boy good. We had the poutine and a biscuit sandwich. The sandwich was burnt and dry. They sent it out despite being obviously burned. Didn't bother to send back, as we didn't think it would be worth it. Any kitchen crew that sends out what they did obviously doesn't care. Wouldn't have been that good even if it wasn't burnt. If you haven't had real poutine in Canada you might like theirs. If you have, then you'll be very disappointed. The quality and quantity of cheese curds were lacking. Gravy was ok, but there wasn't much of it. I have to say the fries were good. I would never go back just to eat, but I would consider getting an appetizer if I'm there to drink beer and am starving. Northern pine beers are great. Too bad the lodge can't come close to the quality of food that came before or the beer that's served in the same building. read more

Have had it delivered a couple times now and I've been impressed. Feel like it's an improvement over the previous bbq that was in the building. Burger looked on the small side at first, but was actually very thick and filling. Great toppings, sauces and buns. Second time I got the biscuit with pulled beef, also deceptively filling. Had plenty of meat for the sandwich and a lot more fell out to eat with my fries. Fries are really good, not mind blowing tier but top notch. read more

I've been in here a few times now. Have ordered something different each time and have been consistently blown away. I'm actually pretty surprised at the low prices of the food for how legit it is. The service is walk up to order then is brought out to wherever you're sitting. They make everything to order and good food is rarely fast food so, for about the 10 mins you wait for your food, you luck out with the good vibes of Northern Pine Brewery (the lodge is inside of the brewery) to enjoy the first part of a pint while you wait. The vibe is cool. Insane how good this food is compared to anything else I've found offered in conjunction with breweries I've been to. If you go in there for brunch, try the French toast it's insane. Dinner my favorite so far has been the tamarack chicken sandwich. read more

We have been to this spot twice. The first time was great; we enjoyed the slider flight, plate of pickled veg, fries, and also tried their four dipping sauces. Two of the four sauces were tasty, though 4 bucks for four small cups (think ketchup cups) of sauce was steep and what I would expect to pay at a fancy steak joint, not a burger bar. The second time the food was inedible. We got a burger, chicken tenders, and fennel coleslaw. The burger and chicken tenders were so over salted that we couldn't stomach more than a few bites of either of them. Like, salt burning your mouth and lips amount of salt bomb. On the flip side, the coleslaw had no seasoning whatsoever. Nobody came by to check how the food was on either trip. The spot was nice, though hot (no airflow in what is essentially a big garage). The first trip was a four star experience for the food. The second trip was a one star experience. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be back as, if I'm paying 18 bucks for a burger, I expect it to be a damn fine burger every time. read more

Sorry wasn't impressed at all. We ordered to go off the brunch menu and it was very disappointing. The waffles were rock hard, like could hardly cut and my kid couldn't eat them. I got the eggs Benedict on a rock hard biscuit, the Benedict sauce was thick like pudding and tasted terrible. The hash browns were undercooked and pure grease. Today we went in and ordered one of everything on the shareable plates menu.. got a beer flight.. and had a true family style of a day. I haven't had that much fun over food in a while. We saw this brewery had opened a restaurant inside the brewery and saw their new menu online and had to try it. We're glad we did! It was a five star dining experience all the way around. We had the Tahoe burger, poutine, 2 piece chicken dinner, potato salad, pickled vegetables, Idaho potato, and washed it all down with their onsite brewed beer. Wow! It was fine dining quality food and superbly crafted beer all served in a casual and fun atmosphere. We will definitely go again. We can't wait to try the other menu items and the brunch. Everything about the food my friends and I had was such a disappointment! I ordered the shareable salad, which is definitely not shareable, but that's OK. Warm greasy tasteless chicken thighs on top of greens. Apple slices were on the side as though you would want to cut into them, the dressing was a side of mustard. Nothing vinaigrette about it. The poutine with fried strips of sirloin beef was greasy and the fries were not cooked. This dish should not be called poutine. In my opinion, fried strips of sirloin strips doesn't sound appealing . The hazy IPA is decent but not my favorite. Everyone at the table seem to really like the Mexican lager. It's a crisp easy drinking beer. The seven of us left pissed off and disappointed. We are locals and will not be going back ever again! read more

Came here this afternoon and Lukas hooked it up! The sun valley sandwich and the Tahoe burger were both great and the fries were so crispy

Great new local spot! We were a group of 5 adults + 2 little kids. Everyone loved their food. No one had heard of the finger steaks but they were a great hit. I got the sun valley chicken sandwhich and would definitely get it again. The kids menu, for once, wasn't just a grilled cheese or quesadilla. Legit chicken breast and mashed potatoes!
