I stopped by on a busy sunday morning with a friend but even then we were taken care of right away. The food was delicious and the employees treated us great! Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Cleanliness 5/5 Prices 5/5

Service was good. I just didn't like the food. I got a hot tea, which was good. The corned beef hash was just disappointing. It was made from a can, I believe. Not a fresh corned beef. It was like something I use to eat when my family was poor. The fruit was good at least. It's an old style looking diner. I don't think I'll come back. I thought I use to like eating at Pegah's. I remember the Escondido one wasn't too bad.

Definitely a hidden gem, this spot needs to be the next breakfast go to! Entering this establishment I feel the great sense of nostalgia, growing up always getting breakfast with family on those Saturday mornings! You get greeted by anyone near the door and it is self seating. The waitress was very sweet and got our orders in fast! We both opted for Country fries steak, a stable breakfast option. Came out beautifully, I would ask for crisper hash browns but other than that amazing meal. "Old Fashioned Waffle" was interesting but I will continue to pick those Belgium waffles!

LOVE this place!!! We have been coming here every Sunday for 4 years and always enjoy our food, service but especially love the people that work here! Sashka, absolutely the BEST server anywhere we go. Fun, fast, professional and just an all round great person. Alfonso is the hardest working dude for sure and always with a big smile. Sarah is the friendly and welcoming owner that brings this bunch together for our dining enjoyment. Shout out to Joanna and the other workers all keeping customers happy. There's a reason we keep coming back, try it and you'll understand why!

Came here after the gym with some friends. Breakfast has huge portions at a reasonable price. The Eggs Benedict was cooked perfectly with running yolk on the bacon and English muffin. The hash browns were also lightly crispy. The country fried egg entree was rich in protein. The potato texture was firm on the outside and soft on the inside. The waiter was so friendly and smiley. He came over to chat with us and made us feel welcome. I loved the family/homey ambiance. My friends and I had a good time.

So disgusting to see this after we had eaten. Worker notified the owner but she never came up to us to tell us anything. Never coming back. There is also a tall lady with glasses that is very rude.

Delicious spot if you live in the area. They have breakfast and lunch so your set if you wanna grab a quick bite. I stopped in for lunch and could sit anywhere. Got a bowl of chili and their club sandwich. Chili was perfect with some cheese and onions. Classic club is always a favorite of mine. Theirs is tip top and the fries were crispy/tasty. I'll definitely be coming back to try more things. I can only imagine the breakfast foods are good too. Plenty of parking by the 7/11 and the staff are quick to get your order in. If you like old school diners you'll dig it.

Price point - for a fa ily of 5, our bill was about $100. Still cheaper than home, and that was with a steak n eggs plate Service was friendly Food came out quickly Portions were big and filling And when you ask for medium rare, it was PERFECT!

Overall a good solid café/greasy spoon type of place. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was all solid. I'd say for most of the food it was equal to about what I can cook at home (without having to do all the work haha). The biscuits are the exception - very good, large, square biscuits which are flakey and seasoned nicely. The gravy needed more pepper and seasoning to us, but once added it was fairly good gravy. Basically, I'd come here again if I was looking for an easy, casual, breakfast but don't bring your "best breakfast ever" expectations ... otherwise I fear you may be disappointed.

The location has a pretty extensive menu written in chalk on the walk, and it's easy to read. There are choices of sandwiches, salads and a lot of great food in-between. After taking a minute to decide we went with the Southwest Chicken Salad ($16.99) as well as the Hawaiian Chicken Sandwich ($15.99) with a side of hushpuppies. The sauce on the salad was flavorful with just a bit of zest, and they gave us extra so that was really cool. It's a really comfy place to eat with a little bit of a Louisiana feel to it. For good food served by good people, this is the place!

Upper East is the new kid on the gentrified block, so expect to pay more for worse service even if the food is better quality. Pick your poison. This was my first and last visit to this location…read more We came for trivia night and were shocked by how rude and hostile the female bartender was. I initially brushed it off as a fluke, but as the night went on it was clear it wasn't just me. Multiple people in our group and others experienced the same behavior throughout the night when ordering food and beer despite being polite and friendly to her. The final straw was when our friend was walking to his car with his 2 kids and she goes out of her way to yell, "Bye, princess!" At this point enough is enough and we asked to speak to the manager. As we are explaining to him the crazy aggressive interactions we had she began yelling at us from behind the bar and even raised her hands as if she wanted to fight. Now things are getting heated and we asked for our bill before it escalates any further. The manager passively apologized for her and comped one of our tabs but didn't leave us confident anything would actually change. I thanked him for his gesture but explained it's not about the money, it's the crazy treatment to customers just trying to enjoy their night. After reading other yelp reviews, it's clear this isn't an isolated issue. It's unfortunate because we love Pizza Port, but we won't be back to this location. The food was decent and the rest of the staff was friendly and helpful, but one employee completely ruined the experience.

My friends and I have been making the rounds to different Sunset Trivia locations throughout North…read moreCounty, and this week we decided to give Pizza Port San Marcos a try. If you're coming for Thursday night trivia, I'd definitely recommend arriving before 5:00 p.m. We got there just after 5 for the 6:00 trivia start and were lucky to snag one of the last larger tables. Also, if you're planning to eat, order early, the food truck gets backed up on busy trivia nights. It took about an hour for my pizza to come out. Unfortunately, the biggest downside of the evening was the service from one bartender (receipt said Leah). Multiple members of our group had interactions that felt dismissive and unnecessarily rude. One friend asked which beer was the fruitiest, and instead of answering or saying she'd be right back, the bartender responded, "I'm helping others right now," and walked away. Our trivia team ended up winning the free pitcher midway through the night, but since only two of the five of us were drinking beer, we politely asked if there was another option or if we could save it for a future visit. Initially we were told our name would be written down for next time. Later, when another friend asked about it, he was met with the comment, "Maybe your team doesn't need a pitcher." My friend spoke to another employee about that interaction who apologized for the experience, and generously offered us a six-pack instead, which was appreciated. The interaction unfortunately escalated after that, with the bartender following my friend outside yelling an inappropriate comment to my friend as he was walking his young children to the car. When members of our group tried to calmly explain the situation to a manager, the bartender became visibly confrontational, making motions as if she was going to approach the group angrily, and repeatedly threatened to call the police. All of that was inappropriate and overall confusing. It was an uncomfortable ending to what should have been a fun trivia night. The venue itself is decently sized for events but does run pretty warm and humid, with limited airflow. It's disappointing because the pizza was good, trivia was fun, and the rest of the staff we interacted with were pleasant. However, one employee's attitude overshadowed the entire experience. Based on this visit, we'll be sticking with the other trivia locations we regularly enjoy.

Pros: This spot is a good place to hang out if you're looking for a casual bar with activities like billiards and darts. The vibe is fun without being overly packed, which made it easy to enjoy the space. I didn't try the food but the drinks were solid and did not disappoint. The overall energy of the place was welcoming, and the service was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. It's one of those spots where you can relax, hang out, and have a good time. Cons: Parking here is probably the biggest downside. The lot is really small and gets packed quickly, so I wouldn't recommend relying on it. We parked nearby after eating at Copper Kings Burgers and just walked over, which ended up being way easier. Verdict: If you're looking for a fun, chill bar in San Marcos with games, music, and good drinks, this is a great spot to check out. But I can't tell if most people were just in the bar area - we were able to get a booth! The place was nice and loud since every one was having a good time. Several parties of 3+ and I saw 1 party of 6. They were doing an explorer menu from Yucatan. Interesting thing to do during Black History Month - I won't lie. I was surprised to see it. But we ordered from that menu. We ordered the fried plantain that came with a sauce and cilantro, sausage and pepper soup, and the BBQ pork. I enjoyed everything except for the plantain. They were basically a huge disc that was slightly crunchy. I was not expecting that since if I want a crunchy plantain, I will eat actual plantain chips. The soup was fantastic! It was a bit spicy but not overwhelming and full of flavor. Wish I ordered a bowl instead of a cup. And last but not least, the BBQ pork was very good. Served on lettuce as well, so if you are doing keto you can omit eating the tortillas that came with the dish. It also had pickled red onions and a salsa. The salsa was mild and with everything in the taco, flavors were balanced. We also ordered 6 Cajun wings. But today, they didn't seem as flavorful, a pity really. A grilled cheese was ordered but with hamburger meat inside. That seemed good and it came with fries. Washed all of this down with a sour that was called Boozy Berry & my fiancé had a West Coast beer. Food was enjoyable, atmosphere was fun. We will be back again.
