We've been here five times and each time the service has been worse. The waitresses basically ignore you if you're not a regular. There were three servers yesterday and we were sitting at the bar. One of them was within our eyesight and I kept trying to get her attention several times to order a drink she looked at me and rolled her eyes and moved on to keep having a conversation with someone else. We waited for 25 minutes and got fed up and decided it was time to go. We again tried to get someone's attention and were ignored. They weren't even that busy! My husband had to get up and hunt someone down for our bill. Come here for cheap drinks and "ok" food but don't expect anyone to be friendly. Every time we've tried to make conversation with the bartenders we're simply ignored because we're obviously not locals or regular. We won't be coming back again because of the service. read more

First time visitor for Friday rib eye special. Great steak; cooked to perfection. More than enough meat. Great with eggs the next day. The baked potato was fully loaded - great. I live pretty close to the bar and have been there several times now. EVERY bartender I have encountered there have been extremely rude and unprofessional. I sit at the bar hoping to get good service only to be ignored by the bartenders as they walk by. Every time I've wanted to order something I have to wave them down. My worst experience there was when I was with a group of friends. A couple of us walked up to the bar to order a pitcher. The two bartenders there were talking to each other and not even looking over at us even though we were standing right there. I had to say "excuse me" and ordered the pitcher, the bartender made an audible groaning noise and rolled her eyes at me as if I was asking her to brew the beer herself. This was another find that I didn't discover until late in the game (about a month before I moved). Was it great? No. Was it good? Yes. This place reminds me of a bar that you would find in Lake Havasu -- it has a very biker-esque feel to it. NEVER EVER GO HERE - it took us 2.5 hours to get our food and a whole extra hour on top of that to get our check. both of the female servers were slow, lazy, and apathetic to how terrible the dinner service was going. the table next to us went and got a box of wheat thins from their car and started passing it around after two hours. the servers were sipping their energy drink through straws, checking their phones and chatting with each other while every person in my 6 person group needed a refill after an hour of no return service. like, you couldn't bring out some fries or any sharable appetizer after 2 hours? the bouncer at the door that swipes your ID through a "totally legit and necessary" electronic scanner while you get wiped down with a metal detector wand. what is this , the 1230? AS I WAS LEAVING - the door guy got in a fight with a patron that expressed that tonight was the worst service he had in 17 years and the door guy said "who cares, good riddance! fuck off!" and waved the customers away. he told me the same thing as I verbalized my agreement with them on my way out. I asked him if he understood how a business works and encouraged him to look into other lines of work and then flipped him off out my sunroof as I drove away. Three stars for the atmosphere but 5 stars for a great steak for $8.95 on Fridays. This review is based solely on my steak, which was cooked perfectly, and I had the baked potato. It's a dive-y bar, but I will stop by every Friday for a great steak for a better price. *Edit* went back on a Wednesday night and had the $8.95 New York Strip. Again an incredible steak that puts Outback and Crapplebees to shame for half the price. The steak was a 12oz, but about an inch thick and perfectly cooked to medium like I ordered. Came in tonight june 9th, to watch friends play darts, friends that play on a league here. My friend ordered a sandwich from Ashley the bartender/waitress, and after an hour had passed he inquired with Ashley, whom he had placed his order with prior, she responded" what makes you think that?" (Why not say hold on let me check). No she walked away and continued her job. NEVER once checking on the order he had inquired about. Leaving my friend standing at the bar, too walk away. "Thinking what the heck just happened". After approx 15 more min his wife went up to talk with Ashley and pay the tab and since it has been a lengthy time since the order was placed she wanted to cancel the order. In the conversation, Ashley was talking in a raised and argumentative tone just below yelling, stating that the order was up and it was being delivered now, (which as I turned nothing was on the table, and nothing was in the pick up area in the kitchen) she was yelling "now I have to pay for it!" She aggressively swiped the card and literally THREW the reciepts and card across the bar top at my friend, stated in a nasty tone, "Have a goodnight!" She then stormed off to the kitchen yelling and raising her arms, to the kitchen staff, to what I took was she was telling them to cancel the order. The order that she stated previously was being delivered. Then with 4 patrons at the end of the bar near the kitchen,i close ear shot of her speaking with other server, I could hear her telling the other bartender/waitress what had just happened, in a raised agitated tone. And there were approx 30 patrons in here when order placed. Poor customer service was evident Inappropriate tones used by employee with patrons who frequents this establishments. Total disregard verbally to a human being. Disrespectful Tacky This behaviour is unacceptable, I am sure if it was handled in a different manner it would have had a better outcome. Just a simple" let me check on that" would have been GREAT with a follow up with the patron. How hard would that have been in the beginning? Maybe coaching in better customer service would be beneficial, It will not stop my friends from coming, due to darts, however it will stop them from utilizing her for service in the future if she is on duty. We have been going to this tavern quite a few times,and am becoming very aware that prices very per waitress, we asked for our single drink to be served in a in a pounder glass and for the first time ever , we were changed 50 cents extra for glass. We did not know this charges was going to be applied to our tab until we received the bill.. Bad business practice, You should tell the customer of any extra charges prior to adding them to the bill. To make things worse my pastrami sandwich had one slice of meat and over a 1/2 inch of coleslaw. all coleslaw and no meat. Will never order that again. I went out and decided on the Log Cabin because it's close to home. So I rode down on down on my bike but was told that that my road bike could be used as a weapon. They were very friendly about it, the parking lot was PACKED, it WAS a Friday night, I brought my lock, lock up my wheels and head into the bumping music, to find out it's not packed at all. I expected with so many people in the lot that there would be A TON of people in there. Two VERY generous shots of SoCo was 13 and some change. I was kind of under the impression that The Log Cabin was a country bar. Inside I did not see any cowboys. I have to say I am not used to being the smallest girl in a room, by about 60 pounds either. We hit this on a Sat. night when all of the other bars in town were showing the fights and it was standing room only. Not boxing fans so we were fine here. The staff was very pleasant and quick to get our drinks or anything that we needed. We had already had dinner but the bartender talked us into a late night snack of corn dogs and potato skins. Not bad as far as bar food goes. He even through in a free chaser soda. We have had dinner here before with friend and they have a great steak deal. Even on these busy nights the staff is quick and attentive. We are already planning a friendly get together here later in the month. Only reason 4 stars is they need to paint the inside. This was the third time, we've tried eating here. The dinners are great so thought let's try breakfast. After sitting down it took the short waitress sorry never got her name, 25 mins to even approach us, still no menus or water/coffee. After another 5 we got menus and coffee. It took her another 10ish to come back and take our order. In the mean time we learned that Dana the other waitress that should been there was only 2 hours late,which from the out load announcements we learned is a very regular thing. ( I'd consider telling her find a different job) In the mean time we watched regulars come in, greeted, given coffee and their orders taken, mind you I'm still waiting to place mine.... we finally ordered!! Amazing I think I'll have food soon, wrong we learn about bartenders shoulder issues, again Dana being late. I hear that Lil bell in the window being hit but still no food. 45 mins later, for a Biscuit & gravy, and a Denver omelet, only because the cook himself brought it out. I was so greatful, poor guy has to deliver people's food. So we go to dig in, looks great. But, it's cold!!!! Because it sat in the window while the short Lil server bitches about Dana, her bartender shoulder and delivered your regulars food and drinks. At that point I'm livid, asked for boxes and didn't even get check just handed my card, figured I'd wait another 30 mins for it. Worst service possible. We have visited this location on several occasions and always enjoyed the atmosphere. The last two visits were very unsettling. There are signs posted on the door masks are required which is not enforced. Customers walk in with masks on but once inside the building walk around without wearing them, hang out at the bar which is very uncool. I moved to Lacey about 8 months ago and drive past this place every day. I decided to go last night on a whim and was not disappointed. I had the Rib eye, rare. It was cooked exactly right. It was on of the best steaks that I have had in years. Super tender. I have professional kitchen experience and can tell by the food, looking at the cooks and the kitchen, that someone there cares and it shows. The downside. Two servers to cover the bar and floor at 7:00pm. Not enough staff. These two were working their tales off. I have read negative reviews about the service. I think that the core of that issue is staffing levels. My only critique on the food was the selection of sides and no bread. I would have like to see more fresh veg on the menu. But perhaps I' asking the log cabin to be something it aint. I would suggest going there earlier if you want to enjoy the food. By 8:00, they were setting a DJ booth and closing the kitchen. The log cabin is a classic "dive". Red fake leather and foil wrapped baked potatoes. Perfect. I am going to go back. I really feel that there is talent in the kitchen. I want to try other things on the menu. Put I gotta have the rib eye 5 or 10 time more just to make sure. Eat here. Spend locally. This aint a chain. Support your local establishment. read more

I have been craving Steaks and it is down to the end of the month and remember hearing of this place called the Log Cabin Tavern! So we drove on over and was served by a great waitstaff. Cold beer and Steak done just right. But The potatoes could use some spicing up as they are baking and try not reuse or cook too long! Mine was very dry and the salad was mostly iceberg white parts not very appealing nor nutritious. I was pleasantly surprised to see fried gizzards on the menu and order those for an appetizer but that is where my enthusiasm ended. The batter was too salty and too over done to the point it tore my gum open and the gizzards them self were old. So in the end the steaks are great the sides need some work the beer cold and the staff friendly as can be. read more

First of all, the atmosphere is LOUD, tiny dance floor with a tacky disco ball, TERRIBLE service, and paint peeling off the walls. Now, on to the food: we were there over 1.5 hours waiting on 2 steak specials, both tough, overdone, and NO flavor other than the burned bits on the ends. Salad is from a bag. Drinks were even slow in coming when we finally got someone to wait on us. Had to go up to the bar to pay because the check never came since none of the wait staff came back to our table after delivering the food. If you're drunk and hanging out with friends, you might not notice how terrible the service is and how long you've been waiting. But if you still have half your wits about you, you'll be starving and then disappointed you waited that long for nothing. read more

It was my first time here. We were there Saturday night, July 28th. I heard from my friend that this was a fun and great place to go. We arrived and the bouncer checked our ID but that's where the customer service experience ended. We found a table and sat down. We sat there for awhile, while others were getting served around us, we were not. We went up to the bar and stood there waiting to be helped. There were 2 bar tenders. One was busy but the other one had her back to the customers and was chatting with the bouncer. He noticed us standing there waiting for service but did nothing about it. My friend finally said excuse me and she turned around to help us. We were served and then sat down. We danced and ordered a few more drinks. We decided then, we would go home. As a first time experience, it was horrible. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I don't feel that it was even worth it to give it a second chance. Based solely on the food, I give this place five stars. Tavern wise, it's kind of a dive, nothing fancy but not dirty either. Comfortable. The 1 pound ribeye steak came with a baked potato and salad and was cooked to a perfect medium. The flavor was absolutely phenomenal and the whole thing was less than $15. Way better than outback steaks or any chain restaurant. Again, the entire thing was only $15! The same ribeye is &12.95 on Fridays. Nightly specials throughout the week including a filet mignon on Saturday for &11.95!! I've been trying to get my wife to come here for over 15 years but I'll never have to try again. She's sold!
