Really was looking forward to some good ole Cajun food. Being Cajun, we are a little picky so we try to go in with a very open mind and not expect too much being so far away from Cajun land. Well, I'm sad to say this is far from Cajun food. Gumbo had an odd flavor, catfish & shrimp were cooked well, but had no seasoning at all! Thank goodness for the "Cajun Salt" or else it would have been awful. Definitely not fresh seafood. Red beans and rice had a Lima bean flavor. Very odd. Cole slaw wasn't pleasant at all and garlic bread was cold and had no garlic taste whatsoever. Everything else had strange flavors that were most assuredly not Cajun flavors!!! Wine served in a mason jar is just wrong! We tried to like it but just couldn't find much to like. We will NOT return. Service was pretty good though... read more

Unfortunately our experience was not a good one. My Cajun stir fry was incredibly greasy and vegetables were burned. My friend's jambalaya was dry and seemed old. The manager comped our entrees and was very nice. I would definitely give it another try. read more

I gave this a four primarily because the staff was very friendly to made us feel welcome. Atmosphere is very casual and at times could be very noisy. The sampler plater of six menu items such as Lobster Bisque and Jambalaya was a nice touch. We both ordered the Fried Shrimp with Fries and Cold Slaw. Took a while to get as our waiter forgot to give it to the kitchen. He did on his own came to our table and apologized and got right on it. The dinner was good but nothing special and did not remind me at all of Cajun Country. But this is a nice change for the Panhandle area and we will give it another try someday in the future. This place was amazing!! The manager and our waitress were so friendly and nice, they made sure we felt right at home and that our food was perfect!! They start you out with a sample tray so you can taste some of their dishes, which I loved about this place. We ordered gator bites which is a must, so delicious!! chicken Alfredo (which I've never had and thought I wouldn't like, but after tasting it I loved it!!) Red beans and rice, chicken jambalaya ( these were my favorites) and seafood gumbo. For dessert we ordered the beignets and they came out hot and fresh and melted in your mouth! I'm so glad that Amarillo got a cajun food restaurant and what makes it better is this place is amazing. The cajun food is authentic, it's like a cajun really did get lost and wound up in Amarillo. I haven't had gumbo or jambalaya this good since being in Louisiana. Not only is the food extremely good, but it is very reasonably priced. You definitely get your money's worth and will not leave unsatisfied. The staff is very friendly. Everytime I've come here they've taken care of everything, been very nice, gone above and beyond to make the dining experience incredible. Our waiter JJ took great care of us. I love coming here, when I can I like to treat myself to the Lost Cajun. I've tried several of their dishes and they are always excellent. They allow you to sample several of their dishes each time you come, which I really enjoy one because they all taste so good, and two because since this is a restaurant dealing with spices and complex flavors it gives you the ability to see how the batch of that particular dish is for the day. The staff is very friendly and attentive, I am never without a drink and they go above and beyond to make their customers happy. I strongly recommend giving this place a shot. read more

Stopped in on Sunday they were open the app stated it was closed glad we didnt listen started with gator bites tender and tasty the dipping sauce was very good for my main dish seafood gumbo and the fried catfish the gumbo was a cup portions it was very good i preferred it to be a little hotter that doesn't mean it wasn't tasty I tried to make the catfish better by trying all of the seasoning on the table no luck it was great just as it is served!!! My wife let me sample her fried shrimp wow enough said i recommend this place highly I have never written a review of a restaurant before enough said our waitress Ashlie was attentive and pleasant good job keep it up. This place is apparently new, so it was packed on a Saturday evening. The wait for a table for two was going to be 45 minutes to an hour, and we didn't have that much time. We ordered take-out and that was still a 30-minute wait. The fried catfish was delicious, with a really great batter. The fries were soggy and a little cold by the time we got home, and I had to add salt because there didn't seem to be any. We also pulled out our own tartar sauce and ketchup because they didn't give us any or ask if we needed any. The coleslaw was FULL of black pepper, which I guess is a matter of taste, but I wasn't a fan. The "garlic bread" was thin crusts of buttered bread with no discernible garlic. My husband said his crawfish pie was ok, but didn't have enough crawfish. Overall, I'm cutting them some slack for being new, being packed, and sending food to go instead of serving it hot and fresh. I'll probably try them again once they've been open a while. read more

I visited this place last night for the first time & they definitely exceeded my expectations! I'm originally from Louisiana & since moving to Texas it's difficult for me to find that certain taste that goes into Cajun cuisine. The 6 samples given to us when first seated blew my mind, everything was great from the red beans & rice to the gumbo!! So flavorful!! I ended up getting blackened catfish with a cup of red beans & rice, also a half dozen oysters on half shell! All great!! Will definitely visit again!! read more

The food and service was great!! We shared the Crawfish Pie and a bowl of the Chicken and Sausage Gumbo. They bring you out a little sample board of 6 different items, it makes the choices even harder. I really thought it was super helpful though because I normally order Seafood Gumbo.We will definitely go back next time we're in town. read more

Went for my birthday back in March. Logan was our server, and she was awesome! She knew the menu well and immediately answered any questions we may have had. The voodoo pasta was phenomenal. Our table shared the crawfish etoufee, red beans and rice, and Cajun pasta. The pasta was very good! The spice level on everything else was a little tame. The samplers are great and the food is tasty: shrimp fried nicely, the seafood gumbo has right flavors (might need more crab and seafood bits though); lobster bisque has yummy creaminess to it! Well to start the food was really good. Tasted authentic and my family and I enjoyed it. Our experience started off bad with a horrible hostess. She sat us at the table right next to the door. Due to the long line as we were about to sit at the table there was a guy sitting on the edge of the table. I asked the hostess if we could move to a empty table that we saw. I told her I'd rather not eat at a table with a guys ass sitting on it. She blew us off and walked away. The waitress Valerie was awesome and quickly moved us to a new table. The hostess with red hair needs to be retrained, washing dishes, or let go. While enjoying are meal we got to meet the owner and explained everything to him. He handled everything great and really listened to what we had to say. I strongly believe he will handle the hostess. The owner apologized and sent us over a free desert. We will give this place another chance thanks to the owner and Valerie. The down side about the place is the size. It gets crowded quick! There are tables directly by the kitchen and you can see them cook the food and wash the dishes. This place could easy survive in a bigger building such as BUBBAS. It's a nice start but I see this business growing quickly. If my next visit is better I'll change it to 5 stars. read more
