AWESOME PLACE!! My coworkers and I were in Ashburn this week for work training and I was tasked to find best places to eat since I'm a foodie.. I found The Lost Fox for our first night and everyone LOVED it! This place is super cool and the vibe was just amazing! There is a host when you walk in. There is stairs or an elevator for use to go up to the dinning area. They have both outdoor and indoor. They have two outdoor sections, one where there are normal tables, outside the main dining area. The other outdoor seating was on the other side, where it is more of a lounge and there is another bar for this lounge section. We hung out at the lounge first while waiting for the rest of our party and enjoyed the fireplace quite much! Onto dinner, it was wonderful! Their menu is so innovative and Monday (3/27) was I think the first day they changed to the Summer Menu. We got quite a few things. Kale Salad, seared duck (crispy and so good and the grit was so so buttery delicious), trotolle (yummmmm), lamb neck, grilled half chicken and pork chops. Everyone loved their food! And our waitress was super cool. They also give you cute post cards when you get your check. One They have a fireplace dinning area inside where it is more cozy and intimate. And their restroom was a fun trek to take. I love everything about the Lost Fox concept. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a fancy upscale elegant fun with tons of delicious food and drinks! read more

Went there with some close friends last night. The staff seemed extremely friendly and due to it being a Monday night, we were seated relatively quickly. The place is super dark so be aware of that. The Service was mediocre. The food tasted really good, however, it just wasn't hot. I'm thinking it probably sat for a while before it was actually served to us, which was a little disappointing. If the place was a little brighter and we didn't have to use our phones to see the menu and if the food temperature was warmer, I might consider coming back. But for the prices, it's just not worth it. read more

The Lost Fox is such a gem! The menu has so many standouts -- the olive oil cake is absolutely delicious, the scallops are cooked to perfection, and the waffle and crab dip are definite must-tries. Their cocktails are creative and well-balanced -- I loved the Impress the Bee, the mimosas are spot-on, and the jalapeño martini is a bold but perfect choice if you like a little spice. One of the best parts of this spot is the atmosphere. They have a rooftop patio on both the front and back of the building. If you can, grab a seat on the front patio -- it overlooks the water fountains and the theater, giving you such a gorgeous view, especially in the evening. The whole place has this eclectic, stylish vibe that feels both upscale and relaxed. I've been hearing great things about Lost Fox and was excited to come for a date night. The service was great, our waitress was attentive and helpful. However the food was lacking and disappointing. For appetizers, we had the deviled eggs and caesar. The deviled eggs had way tooo much mustard for me, this is a personal preference but if you're not a mustard fan; you'll hate it. And it's not the subtle mustard taste because of course deviled eggs has mustard but it was overbearing. Also the egg was very hard, most places I been to, the eggs itself are soft. The caesar salad though, I would come back just for that. It was saucy (just the way I like it) and had good amount of cheese. 100+ points for caesar. Next up I had the half chicken which was chipotle rub and lemon aioli. Unfortunately the chicken was super dry, the aioli couldn't save it. I could get juicier chicken at giant or harris teeter. My husband had the burger and we actually split it. The burger was good but was messing something. Maybe sauce or bacon or both. The fries however were definitively my favorite after the salad. These fries would have been perfect with ranch but when we asked for it, she came back with some type of runny cucumber dressing, tasted like tzatziki. I woulda been fine if it was Hidden-valley but they definitely failed on the ranch. I am honestly giving 3 stars for the service and caesar salad but thats it. Spending $100 for this was not worth it. I'm not sure if I'd go back unless I wanted the salad and fries but I'm scared to try anything else. read more

There is nothing bad to say about this place. We stayed near Dulles Airport and this place was just a few minutes away. It is in a beautifully walkable shopping center with plenty of stores and boutiques. Our server, Kate and the manager, Cynthia, went out of their way to make sure our visit was perfect. The food and drinks were amazing. There was so much we wanted to enjoy on the menu and we ordered plenty! (Enjoy the photos.) The restaurant patio overlooks the shopping area, has a beautiful fireplace and outside bar, heaters and umbrellas and plenty of comfortable seating that allows you to enjoy each other's company and conversation. This is by far my favorite place in the Dulles area and we will be back again each time we visit DC/Virginia. read more

We had a great birthday brunch for my friend here! We sat out on the rooftop and it was enclosed and warmed with heaters. The food was delicious - I tried the biscuit egg cheese and pork belly. The biscuit was soft but crunchy outside and the pork belly was a nice touch. I tried the espresso martini, it was not what I hoped for but ok. It was almost too sweet and not strong enough with the coffee/espresso flavor. The manager was awesome and gave our group two complimentary bottles of champagne and some juices. It can be difficult to find this kind of customer service today, so it was really nice to see someone taking care of guests like he did. Our waitress did a good job taking care of the whole group and was friendly. I would definitely return and try other menu options. read more

Great food and we never made it past the appetizers! The menu describes them as small plates, but they are large enough for two or more people to share. The deviled eggs were creamy and delicious. The crab dip with Parmesan cheese and pita chips was enough for an entree. Skip the pork belly and seared tuna, but don't miss the Mac and cheese with crushed potato chips on top! Fairly new "hip" place in One Loudoun, overtop the City Tap. Very warmly greeted at the door and escorted to our seats. Beautiful outdoor area, great if you like cigars, but a little warm for today so we chose indoors. Waitress was "average", maybe a busy day for her. Ambiance is really nice, like a local pub, but I had to ding them a star for the volume of the music. Just too darn load, and I love music. My wife and I both had burgers and beers. Very nicely prepared burger, looked and tasted great. Great selection os local and "the usual" beers. Menu a but limited but it had everything we needed. First some logistics. The Lost Fox is located on the 2nd floor. While you can see it from Thorndike St, the actual entrance stairs and elevator are on Exchange St. The Lost Fox is for 21 years and older. Reservations are via open table, which I recommend. It was pretty busy and we were there on a Tuesday! Beer, wine, booze selection covers all the basics. Food: we started with grilled citrus shrimp with white corn buttermilk grits, and eastern carolina BBQ sauce. I'm actually not much of a BBQ sauce fan because they are usually too sweet, but this had some heat and tang. Also it was lightly brushed on and didn't overpower the perfectly cooked shrimp. The grits were also creamy and perfect. Next up was the shaved brussel sprout salad with farro, toasted pine nuts, pomegranate seed, grana padano, and champagne vinaigrette. So many amazing flavors. This was one of the better salads I have had in a long time and will def order again. Then the bourbon glazed pork belly with a tuscan kale and serrano chili slaw. This one was a little disappointing. The meat on the pork belly could have been crispier with better fat rendering. Also there was too much slaw. We finished off with a 14oz grilled Glenmary Farm ribeye. Great char and perfectly med rare. The au poivre sauce was peppery, but lacked fresh cracked peppercorns in it and also was a little too salty. Fortunately the sauce was more poured around the steak so we could be selected in its application. We ate inside and it was a little dark there. Next time we plan on trying the outside deck or bar. Really cool date night / dinner place! Recommend making a reservation before you come. Upon entering, a hostess will confirm your reservation and then direct you up a staircase - the actual restaurant is located on the second floor. We ordered the crab dip, lobster roll, and hamburger. Everything was great and very fresh, especially since we had a lot of seafood. We were hoping to try their Nashville Hot Fries but apparently they only serve them during Happy Hour... bummer. Both the lobster roll and hamburger came with a generous side of their regular fries and the crab dip came with some piping hot freshly fried pita chips. Service was good and check up on you often. All the servers were wearing a facial covering except ours, so we felt slightly uncomfortable while ordering/conversing with her since we were not wearing ours either upon sitting at our table. Great ambiance and incredibly attentive wait staff. We went here for our Anniversary, and multiple staff swung by to check on us and quietly congratulate us on our celebration (kind, thoughtful, and not embarrassing!). The food was magnificent. Appetizers were delicious and perfectly portioned. I had the Brussel sprout salad and Ahi Tuna small plate--both were phenomenal. Complex but balanced flavors with fresh ingredients. Great location. Friendly staff. Got there and got a great outdoor bar seat immediately for my party of three. The drinks and food were great. Between The three of us we had the salmon the burger and the bolognese.. we also started with the wings and the crab dip. everyone talked about how good there food was. My only gripes are the appetizers they started out rocky , there was a hair cooked into one of the wings and when we brought it to the waitresses attention she tried to convince us it was a feather it was absolutely hair. The other thing was our drink glasses were dirty every drink order. I think these are minor things that everyone won't experience I would absolutely say don't skip this place it has great potential. read more

I was here with a large group (25+) of my business colleagues for a team dinner while I was visiting VA on a business trip in Nov '21. This place had recently opened I believe, so it was most of ours (including the locals) first time. I cannot rave enough about it! My group took up the outside patio at the top of the stairs that has its own separate seating and full bar (!!) it was amazing! Beautiful seating area with multiple tables/chairs and heating lamps/fire pits. It was so beautiful and almost had a tropical feel. There were appetizers to share, and for dinner I had the Cauliflower Risotto and the Shaved Brussels Sprouts Salad. The risotto was good but a bit heavy on the mushrooms ...the salad was the star of the show and I could have eaten a trough! So good and I am still dreaming of it For the appetizers, I arrived late and missed most of them, but I did try the House Charcuterie & Cheese Board which was really good (they had some amazing pickles & this fig honey type spread - so good!) I didn't get a chance to try but folks were also raving about the Gnocchi small plate appetizer. The bartender and server were the best, seriously. They took such good care of us and were so attentive. I want to give them shoutouts but I am not sure if I remember their names, I want to say Emily? And Tony? You guys were great!!! At one point one of my coworkers left and she couldn't find her phone. We all searched for at least 20 minutes with cushions flying and tables overturned and they were so helpful trying to help us look as well. They really put up with us as after 3-4 hours with access to an open bar (!!) we were feeling pretty happy (but don't worry - everyone Uber'd to their home or hotel!) Literally my favorite bar. I always have a fantastic time whenever I come here! Any day of the week. Excellent spot to meet up with friends but sometimes I go by myself because I know I'll meet amazing people and I always do! The drinks are fantastic and the bartenders are incredible. The decor feels so homey, excellent place to sit on the patio during great weather or sit by the fireplace while it's rainy. I tell everyone about the Lost Fox. I finally got to check out this place last night. It was everything I had hoped for - delicious food, awesome service and a great atmosphere. We ordered a few small plates- Bourbon Glazed Pork Belly and Nothin' But Crab Dip. The dip was superb and the pork belly was delicious. For our main entrees, we got the following: Fettuccini Bolognese, Grilled Glenmary Farm Ribeye, and Hot Buttered Crab Roll. Again, everyone enjoyed their entrees. We also did drinks: Hideaway Old Fashioned and The Fox & The Mule. Drinks were perfect! I really enjoyed the coziness of the place and all the holiday decor. My review is solely based on my experience having some drinks at the bar. I didn't order any food but I did nibble on my friends fries and they were pretty good lol. Our bartender, Rachel, was great. Very personable and made some amazing drinks. Maybe too good haha. My go-to drink is always a lemon drop martini and while it may seem like this couldn't be messed up since it's only like 3 ingredients lol I do find sometimes it's hit or miss. Well, the ones Rachel made me were so good that by martini #3 I was like oop maybe I shouldn't have haha. The ambience was cool and a good vibe. We were upstairs at the rooftop bar. I like that they have an inside and outside area which connects because it was honestly too hot to sit outside. We went on a Friday night around 7:30p and soon after the bar got very busy. I love this place!! It's cozy with wooden everything, and a fireplace, and low ceilings....not to mention the live music and the delicious food. But the cocktails REALLY nailed it. I got Old Blue Eyes, which was an excellent heavy bourbon drink...but the Phuket was INCREDIBLE. It was so light and delicious and unexpected. My partner got the Adult Aguas Frescas, which had such an amazing kick...and the Jalapeno Cucumber Margarita, which was spicy and light at the same time. I don't even LIKE margaritas and I would absolutely order this one again! To eat, we started with the crab dip--it was a really huge portion and yet we didn't feel heavy while eating it, which is shocking for a dish like that. We both agreed it might be the best we've ever had. We shared the caesar salad as well, which was pretty good, but I might try another salad next time just because it kind of tasted like all the others. Then we got the duck and the pork belly, both of which had such unique flavors playing in our mouths. I mean, I was REALLY impressed. We felt a little rushed by our server even though it wasn't packed, which would be my only complaint. I went with some friends after seeing someone else's post. Made reservations thinking we had the option to sit outside when we got there. Our table was outside, but not the lower table one. Others had already reserved it, so make note, if you want a lower table, request it. It worked out it since it sprinkled a little and our table was covered. We ordered several small plates and one big plate. Summer pasta was not as big as we thought, but it was good. All of our small plates were delicious: chicken wings, shrimp, crab dip (dip and the fried pita bread came out piping hot, never had a dip come out that hot before. It was like having homemade dip at home, right it of the oven), grilled peach, pork belly. Everything was yummy and would order again. The drinks were colorful and tasty. The Empress and The Bee was good. Had a regular margarita, but the glass was chipped on the rim. I had requested a new drink since I was afraid to drink it. The chip was big enough that it could of just happened. When the new drink came out, it was my original drink in a new glass, which also had a chip, but smaller than the first glass. I knew it was my original drink since I had squeezed a lime and had it in my drink. They gave me the same drink with a new piece of lime. I asked another waitress for a new drink in a meeting glass. That should be part of their quality control, check each glass before serving it. Chips can happen at any time, so look, like you would if you were pouring wine into a wine glass for water spots. read more

This was my 2nd time trying lost fox. It seems like they are not paying attention when it comes to food anymore. Reservations is highly recommended , seating is limited. We ordered shredded Brussels which was delicious, cauliflower main was good but needed a bit more sauce, the worst was the crab roll, it was a baby roll and it tasted like it was cooking in a pan with red meat. For desert we ordered the apple pie which was very dry. Their menus is small but they need to upgrade it. Towards the middle of the dinner, the restaurant keep getting louder and louder. Basically the bar got busy and people from the bar start coming to the tables where people were having dinner. The fire place section got busy and super loud. Over all our server Leoneoniss" I am probably spelling his name wrong but Leo was a great server. He was attentive and professional. Another we noticed when we first come to the restaurant on the first floor. There was a rude guy asking us to stand on another side of the door (it was kinda ridiculous because no one was coming in or leaving so that was completely unnecessary. He asked us for our ID. i didn't think i was going to a club so I didn't bring my wallet . my partner did have his wallet. They ran his ID and I told him I didn't bring it. Not enough people are talking about the Lost Fox. Smack in the middle of One Loudoun in the upstairs of a corner lot, LF is a wonderful experience. They are a bit pricey (who isn't in Loudoun) and boast a top tier quality ambiance. The biggest thing against them is they don't allowed kids and as a parent of two, I can really appreciate that. We really liked the deviled eggs, hash, and wings. The mac and cheese was a little too runny for our taste, we would have baked it a little longer. The avocado toast was underwhelming. Our waitress, Kate, was really nice. The ambience was nice and cozy. I'd only sat in the front before (which opens to the outdoors). During this visit, we sat in the back. Overall great location and atmosphere in the dinning room, the bar seems to be busy and great company outside of the dinning experience. Definitely need to go back and check that out. Food was amazing on point, apps to entrees kept you wanting more but very happy with the flavors and portions. The items you saw on the menu you wanted to try well you saw coming out the kitchen making you go "yep I want to try that next time".
