I guess Poke is gaining popularity that I've been seeing them everywhere in the area, well that's good cause it's yummy and healthy too. What sets this place apart from the other places is the availability of alcoholic drinks which is great, nothing better than eating poke while having a sip of your favorite cocktail. The staff is really friendly and for the amount of food you'll be getting I think the price is very reasonable. I had the large bowl so I can pick 5 scoops of fish and seafood. They have scallops too which is not available in some other places. The bootea rice is really flavorful and the shoyu sauce didn't disappoint. The addition of fried garlic and onions as a topping adds that crunch and flavor that would make you want to come back for more. Definitely the best poke place in the area! read more

This is probably my favorite poke place, having worked at and eaten at others, this is high praise. Despite coming during lunch hours, the employees not only provided excellent service, but gave equally amazing suggestions for a delicious bowl of food. I highly recommend the bowl made for me by one worker, who I will call Chief to preserve their privacy. Chief amalgamated salmon and tuna with crab and seaweed for a splendid healthy meal. Another worker, the aforementioned Chief's coworker who will be referred to as Keef was very amiable and equally helpful, making recommendations and was more than happy to explain the stores history and happy hour options. Overall, the two workers, Chief and Keef, where beyond excellent and strove to make my experience exceptional, and the food was likewise fantastic. I highly recommend this establishment and will be returning soon. I've been coming here maybe once every two weeks since the place opened up. It's a bit pricier than the other poke places in riverside but the quality of food is better. The uni fries deserve 5 stars alone. The reason for the two stars is that I'm fed up with the quantity of food being served. One server might give you your monies worth while another might be hesitant about giving you anything. Consistency isn't good. I finally had enough of it today when I ordered a large bowl and ended up with barely enough food to fill a regular bowl. I also included a pic. Sad part is that I think it was the manager who made my bowl (the one on the left). The only difference between the bowl on the left and right is one has cucumbers and a different sauce. The people there are cool and I'm sure they would have accommodated me if I said anything; the thing is that I don't feel like complaining every time I get a disappointing amount of food. I don't ever write reviews or complain about my food but this place deserves the one star review. I purchased two regular bowls with jasmine rice bases. I don't know if it's because we got there an hour after opening , but the rice in both bowls was incredibly stale (as if it was left out overnight) and barely edible. One bowl was topped with avocado which the girl behind the counter warned me it wasn't perfectly ripen but when I got home this avocado was HARD AS A ROCK. I couldn't even chew the avocado that's how far from ripe it was. When I called to explain what was wrong with our bowls, the manager David showed no remorse or care for the lack of quality in their product. He even tried to justify the inedible avocado by saying since there was a warning, it's not their issue. A day or two from completely ripe is different than what felt like pebbles in my mouth. I've been to both locations in Garden Grove and Riverside. Service is great and the staff is friendly. The hot Cheetos poke burrito is a must try! They give you sauce on the side so that prevents the roll from getting and falling apart. I visit this place at least once a week. I believe it's the best poke in the immediate area. The fish is fresh and I particularly enjoy their bootea rice, which is rice infused with green tea. They have their regular sauces and then their weekly sauce (which is usually around longer than a week). When they have it, I recommend trying the garlic onion sauce. 99.9% of the time their customer service is great. There is one gentleman that seems annoyed to be there but I rarely see him. I try to time it so I don't hit a lunch or dinner rush but even when I do the service is good. read more

I have now been to this poke place twice, and while I think it's pretty good, there is something lacking for me. I am just having a difficult time pinpointing what that something is. This place is extremely underrated! But that also makes it a gem because it's never crowded and you always get your money's worth. I always get the hot-cheetorito which is a sushi burrito with hot Cheetos on the outside. This place is awesome. They had responsible social distancing practices and hand sanitizer during COVID time. Service was efficient and food was delicious. I ordered a regular poke bowl (1 scoop salmon, 1 scoop spicy salmon, 1 scoop salmon belly), on bootea rice, sauces: shoyu and jalapeno, with all the sides (crab meat, seaweed salad, corn, and avocado - additional charge, but worth it). Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. It was so good we will definitely be coming back (even if it is out of the way from us) for take out. After months of anticipation I finally got to try this place on Friday 11/18 and it was everything the reviews and pictures made it out to be! Believe the hype my pokephiles, this poke is danky! I don't wanna get ahead of myself but I think this place might have just climbed to the top as my number one poke joint! Food: Fresh, great tasting fish, and not skimpy like other places I've been to. They have plenty of options for the protein, only gripe is that albacore & octopus are only available at certain times and not a main staple. Toppings are plentiful and they even have hot cheetos which complement the poke surprisingly well. Service: All the employees I dealt with were friendly and informative, helpful in making recommendations as well, which is always nice to have when trying out a new place. Ambiance: I'm digging the scheme and deco this place has with all the phrases and their double entendres lol. The fact that a poke place serves alcoholic beverages and has an IPA on tap makes this joint that much more awesome to me! I love interesting and different approaches to food, and often prefer interesting (or shocking) to good. Low-Key's approach is cool but not shocking. And compared to other Poke joints, the differences don't add much. Rice selection is white or green. Naturally green is more interesting! But it was a bit sweet and seemed to crowd out the fish. For sauce I chose LAVA and it was nicely spicy but I would never select it again because that's all I could taste...besides the sweet rice. Staff was friendly and helpful (but had to be asked everything...). Definitely a great place to eat and will go back! Minus two stars for not having proper signage that guides customers to the area where they should order, or how, which really caused a lot of confrontation and friction between customers and employees. Also, for having no visible drink menu available (we had to ask if they even had drinks at the register). For lack of sauce tickets to flavortown (it's not all about burning off your tastebuds for everyone...). My sister and I actually came here from a different poke place because that store's portion size was just way too small for the same prices as the Low-Key Poke. Interior was clean and open with many seats during lunch time on a Saturday, and the worker was very sweet. I highly recommend the BooTea rice which is a bamboo rice infused with green tea. Ask for a sample! The fish was fresh and the serving size was decent as it got me full. Comparing it to places like Pokeworks, it was a little lacking in size (I'll usually have a hard time finishing my bowl, but here I was able to finish the whole bowl) and in some toppings, but still a satisfying meal! I drove all the way out to Riverside for this. This shows how much faster it is for me to go to Riverside than to the original location haha. I went in at 11am and was the only one there (I believe it was a Tuesday or something). There was only one guy who was working the entire thing at that time. So you get in the line and figure out what you want! Step 1: Whadayawant. Regular or Large size ($8.99 vs $10.99) Regular has 3 scoops, large has 5. Regular is .25 pounds, large is .45 pounds. Don't worry. They measure on a scale so you will definitely know if you get a good amount of fish :P Bases you can choose: Bootea rice jasmine rice kale mix taro chips spring mix. All of them sound intriguing, but they're missing the classic brown rice. It's okay. I like mine white anyways. Bootea rice for me please! Step 2: Protein salmon spicy salmon tuna spicy tuna shrimp scallop tofu *Lowkey special I think for my three scoops I got salmon, tuna, and spicy tuna. Step 3: Sauces Shoyu all the way I lava you Sirachacha U've Got Kale Jalapeno Bizness Shoyu all the way for me, representing the "sweet" sauce I usually want in my poke Sides: Yellow Onion, Shallots, masago, crab meat,cucumber, corn, cilantro, seaweed, salad, ginger, wasabi, avocado (+1), lowkey special. I got the lowkey special of sour cream for the week I went. I had to eat the sour cream to get it down to a mix of something that I could still handle. The hot cheetos gave the poke a new nice crunch. With all that, I think this is the 2nd best poke place behind pokinometry, that I've had around the OC. Their salmon belly gave a nice warm crunch and it was absolutely delicious. (Although, I had to wait 30 minutes. Apparently the order didn't go through in the back, but the worker made up for it by doubling my order of salmon belly). Went here with my boyfriend for dinner and honestly we were pretty disappointed... It was honestly just all hype and it didn't really live up to my expectations. We ordered one regular poke bowl and a poke wrap both with BOOTEA rice and I could not taste a difference. Maybe it's just me, but it tasted exactly like regular rice! My boyfriend and I also had way too much rice left over since I feel there wasn't enough toppings. As for the poke wrap we were both really exited to try it out, but it was probably the least favorite thing we ordered... I've been wanting to try one for awhile, but I think I'm just going to stick with poke bowls. We got it with hot cheetos and avocado which both cost an extra $1.00 each to add-on to your wrap. (It costs extra to add avocado?! What?!) I couldn't even really taste the hot cheetos and the wrap just tasted so bland even with the sauce. The last thing we ordered was the Uni Fries and it tasted really good at first but it was just DRENCHED in sauce! I usually complain about how there isn't enough sauce but there was way too much and the fries got all soggy. I ordered it because of how much people raved about it in reviews, but I think I could have done without it... I would have enjoyed it a lot more if they put less sauce on or if they put it on the side. After coming here once I don't think I would choose to come back. I'm glad I tried it out, but it's definitely out of the way from where I live. I would much rather go to the Pokilicious near UCR to satisfy my poke craving. My girlfriend and I both came here because we heard great things about this place. It was out of the way but we knew it'd be worth it (I'm sure the rating says enough). We were anxious to try the Poke Wrap but couldn't make up our minds, so we ordered a Poke Bowl too, and some Uni Poutine Fries for fun! My favorite of the three was the poke. It was really good! The rice was ok, and I'm glad we tried it, but I'd probably have liked the regular white rice more. The fries were good too, but I disliked the amount of sauce that was on them. We were left with a puddle of sauce after we ate the last fry, which didn't look appetizing at all. The Poke Wrap was surprisingly the least favorite. It was good and all. But it was pretty dry. The sauce they give you wasn't enough to add the right amount of flavor. The Cheeto layer was tasteless and not worth a dollar. Same with the avocado. Don't know if I'd get it again. This is hands down my favorite poke place in the Riverside/Corona area! The store is a little secluded in a small plaza, so it may be easy to miss. The inside has plenty of seating. Staff here are always friendly and they try to hold a conversation with me as they're making my food. What I like most about this place is the pieces of fish aren't cut up super small like other poke places, and have always tasted fresh every time I visit. The hot cheeto sushi burrito is completely worth the hype. I really had high expectations for it and it definitely met them! It tasted absolutely amazing. I had salmon, spicy tuna, and spicy salmon inside mine and it was great! The fish tasted fresh and the scoops inside were pretty big! My total came to about $12. Avocado and cheeto toppings are $1 extra each but I thought it was worth it. You also get two sauces to dip your burrito in! I had the sriracha mayo and the shoyu sauce which were both good. What I really enjoyed that I have never came across at a poke joint and what makes this place different is the bootea rice which is a cilantro Green tea rice. I would come here again just for the rice, so good. There happy hour is from 3-6 everyday and it looks like they have some good beers and cocktails. Will try out another day.
