    Lumpia's and Pancit
    Kristen D.

I've seen this food truck at the Grayslake farmers market for years but never knew what a Lumpia was and was never confident enough to take the step to try. That is, until my sister was alongside and knew EXACTLY what a Lumpia was and encouraged me to try. Lumpia - crispy Filipino spring rolls filled with meat, carrots, and well seasoned. Pancit - Filipino stir-fried rice noodles I don't know why I waited so long. Definitely a misplaced intimidation factor. The spring rolls were fantastic - crispy, flavorful. I was surprised by how small they were. I'd be sure to order more next time. The noodles were simple but also tasty. Without a doubt will return again soon.

First time trying The Lumpia Lady was at Food Truck Fest! Amazing deal for the sampler - get it you won't be disappointed. Enough to split with a friend- if your a fan of bananas you'll like the dessert style banana ones. Personally not a big banana fan but had to try it and it was good. My favorite was the veggie!

Tried TLL at Food Truck Fest in Milwaukee and the only downside is that it seems like they're in IL most of the time which would explain why I hadn't tried them before. We had the sampler and felt like it was a great value (especially compared to other trucks at this event). It was a half order of their four offerings, chicken(5) pork(5), veggie(3) and banana(2). They were all delicious!! Even the banana which I was fairly skeptical about. They also had it up hot and ready super quick. 10/10 recommend

Hit up a festival this weekend with the family and was super excited to find the Lumpia Lady there. Last food truck event I went to, the lines were too long and my belly too hungry to wait . Happy to report that the food is, indeed, worth the wait. The lumpia were crispy and flavorful, and my daughter loved the lechon. The BBQ pork skewers were really good as well, sticky and juicy and paired well with the white rice. The pancit was a little bland but still enjoyable. The only thing I wasn't feeling was the sauces, but that's just personal preference.

Left: banana lumpia. Right: pancit lumpia combo.

The service was quick and excellent, the woman running the truck was fun and inviting. Everything I ate was tasty enough, but it was a little light on flavor. I had the pancit, pork lumpia, and banana lumpia. I didn't dislike anything but it was just a bit bland. The banana lumpia come with caramel sauce and powdered sugar but still weren't sweet. Overall a very nice meal but it didn't blow me away.

The Lumpia Lady Trailer was at the Tractor Supply Company's Grand Opening for the Beach Park location. I really enjoyed this food trailer. All of it is outstanding. It's a very nice sampling of Filipino cuisine. The service is friendly and inviting. If you haven't tried Filipino food, this is a nice introduction. The menu is simple and executed perfectly. I highly recommend this trailer. If you see it, check it out. Thumbs way up!

Limited items to choose from their menu. Pricey for a small portion size of food.

Saw this food truck and decided to try it out. Got the Pork Skewers with lumpia combo. First of all, I didn't get any rice at all with it when their menu says it comes with two pork skewers, five pork lumpia's, pancit and rice. Even the pictures on yelp shows it comes with rice. They weren't even busy so forgetting an item from your order is unacceptable. The pork lumpia's were skinny small and a bit saltier than what I am used to. The pancit was the tasteless unflavored noodles I've ever had in my whole life. It was basically just noodles with a bit of soy sauce for color and no vegetables nor chicken in it. The pork skewers are the only ones with some flavor to it but again still a disappointment because it barely had any meat on the stick. The ones I got were basically small pieces of pork fat. The serving size is definitely not worth the price tag. I also ordered the banana lumpia ( Turon ) it was a big disappointment, it was tasteless with the inside lumpia wrappers not cooked as they were still white and doughy inside. The bananas or plantains were not ripe and not sweet at all. There was barely any caramel sugar coating on them. I ended up refrying them at home and adding caramel sugar to them to make them have some sweet flavor. Over all my experience was negative and disappointing. Portion and price definitely not worth it! Sorry to say but you're better off ordering from Kaibigan, or Merienda Cafe close by in Round Lake and Grayslake area. If yelp allowed me to put zero star I would have but I have no choice and have to put at least one star.

Wonderful, authentic lumpia. Pork ate my favorite. It's worth hunting down the truck.

Ube pancake with the ube butter and coconut jelly was made just right. The Galbi topsilog was good. Very rich marinade, not what I like, but on this plate with the garlic rice it works. Drinks were good, the Ube matcha was good on sweetness and the Calamansi lemonade was on point. Customer service was very good, the guy behind the counter saw us looking at the menu and asked if we'd like to hear about the specials... and they checked on us although at the table even though it felt more like a self serve style diner. Overall, good spot to get a quick fix for Filipino food craving.

Came on a Thursday after lunch and it wasn't too busy. Ordered the Tocilog - which is sweet pork with a side of garlic fried rice, and an egg cooked any way you like. Also came with a side of noodles (pancit). Since I was here, decided to order some calamansi wings to go. And of course an ube milk tea. I really enjoyed my meal. The Tocino was a little different from what I'm used to. I'm used to a slab of pork pan fried with the fat fried to a slight crunch lol. I'm also used to tocino being red in color. I guess the tocino here is a little more leaner and no artificial colors - which works for me as I'm kinda allergic to red dye. But it tasted good, very flavorful. Loved the garlic rice as well. Pancit noodles were okay - could have used a little more seasoning but I could dig it Calamansi wings were low key fire. The crisp of the wings were perfection and the meat was not tough - still nice and juicy. I would get these again. They did have other flavors available that I need to come and try as well such as adobo and salt & pepper. Servers were nice and food came out pretty fast.
