Their to go food is delicious! We had the steak salad, deviled eggs & fish and chips. The steak was incredibly tender, the deviled eggs were generously filled & the fish was light and flaky. I appreciate that the deviled eggs were well secured and did not roll around during the ride home. I was especially impressed by the knife skills that came with my side of avocado that was presented like a rose! We are definitely keeping Mad Duck in our take out rotation! read more

I've been here a couple of times now, once just for drinks and again for food... and it's just so very average. On the first visit I was on a double-date and we dropped in here after dinner, whereupon we ran into a couple more friends. I wasn't in the mood for beer so ordered a gin and tonic - which was practically undrinkable. The tap tonic they use had that nasty synthetic taste that you sometimes get out of restaurant water taps and was pretty flat. I had to ask for several lime wedges to make it palatable. Yuck. More recently I was craving their loaded tater tots and there was a show on near Campus Pointe so we rerouted to this location. I've never felt very comfortable in here. It's very small and feels a bit cramped, they could do with getting rid of at least one high table. It has high ceilings but low-strung and low-watt lighting which makes it feel smaller. The decor is kinda inconsistent, with some flags and things around but again, nothing to really catch the eye. Both times I've been in the floor has been really dirty and the booths haven't looked super clean, either. This time I got said loaded tater tots along with 1 pulled pork and 2 beef sliders. It was nice that they let me switch them around without a fuss (all 3 slider types are the same price). The beef ones had too much onion which made it kind of wet, and the beef was a little overcooked on the outside. The pulled pork was fine. Nothing special here. The loaded tots are enormous, piled high with cheese sauce, sour cream, chives, and bacon. I had the blonde ale, which has a nice finish. The service was good, it's a small place and they have plenty of staff so they're able to keep an eye on how everyone is doing. As I said for the other location, it's ok for a drink and a snack. There's a ton of stuff I think I'd like on the menu but as far as I've experienced their food really isn't great. I definitely prefer the other location, though. read more

This place is legit. Our go-to if we just need some good eats. The staff is attentive and the food is consistent. I'm a particular fan of the Asian chicken wings and the tots with cheddar. We have been eating their ever since they opened their doors and are there pretty much weekly. Most waiters (which by the way are great) know us by name now lol. Their food is great and consistently good. Lots of choices and I've never been disappointed. I am a pretzel finatic and they have the best soft pretzel in town! Their patio is large and comfortable on nice days, but they do provide heat and air as needed. They serve Pepsi products... which is huge for us (not a Coke fan). Love the salad always. Summer salad mixed greens with strawberries or green apples are the best with all goodness in. Winter salad is beetroot salad so yummy and very nutritious. They serve the salad in metal bowl ( not attractive to eat) I always ask for plates especially if I added protein to it and need to use knife and fork. The food at Mad Duck is great. We really enjoy going there for the Tater-tots though. They are the best in town. From what I can figure, which I have to ask the chef if I'm correct is they are double deep fried. They are crunchy, but fluffy on the inside just the way they should be. The burger at Mad Duck are fantastic. Always tender, juicy, and tasty. The baked beans are out of this world, and the cole slaw is great. read more

BUFFALO CHICKEN DIP!!!!!!!!! Ah. I've tried to recreate the taste at home, but it's just not the same. This pan of deliciousness is very salty and loaded with calories, but, that's what you're supposed to eat with beer! Their burgers are also very juicy and delicious. Really disappointed. My friend and I arrived first in our party and they sat us right away. Only good thing that happened tonight. We sat for 5 minutes and they gave us waters. Then our other friends started coming. 20 mins in, they finally gave us a placard to view the menu. The worker didn't even stay to greet the others or give them water. They tossed it on our table and walked away. 30 minutes passed and still no one was going to us. It seemed as if the workers kept looking at our table and going to literally every table but ours. Any time we would raise our hands or try to get their attention they'd just go away quickly. I understand if they're busy or understaffed, but they were even attending to people who came after us. So after 40 minutes of sitting there we all got up and left. read more

Good grub for a very fair price. The ingredient quality certainly carries the show. The breading on the fried pickles is fantastic, which makes me think next time I'll be trying the fish and chips. The fried pickles are a little different, however. They are whole spears, which are actually fairly hard to eat until they are cold. Worth eating there again. read more

Nice, fast, friendly service! We only came for a few beers and some apps. If you like spicy goodness try the buffalo dip. That with a nice cold beer is perfect. They have some great IPA's and local beers on tap which gives the place a very "local" feeling. Went here with friends the other day. Not the best, not the worst. Sitting at our booth during a slow hour and nobody seemed to want to wait on our table after 15-20min of being in restaurant. We waited around with our two babies and wondered when we'd get some attention. Finally they came to take our order. My two friends ordered Caesar salads, tator tots, and deviled eggs. They said salads were good but didn't care for the appetizers. I ordered a bunless burger with bacon, avocado, sauted onions, pickles, and tomatoes. It was just okay. The meat was tender and not tough, just didn't have a ton of flavor. Also ordered a side of sweet potato fries. Those were good. Overall I think this place was just okay. Oh and $20 for a burger and fries is not my thing! Especially a burger with no bun, no cheese, no sauce, and just the regular burger toppings. read more

We used to come to this location, but haven't been in a while. The quality has dropped significantly. We got an order to go, and the food was cold and soggy by the time we got it home. I got the goat cheese sliders, and the bread seemed slightly stale and the lettuce was mushy like it had been dressed for hours. In the short drive home, the tater tots were soggy to the point that we put them in the air fryer. Overall, if you want Mad Duck, skip this location. read more

Love. Love. Love the Blueberry Elderflower Lemonade. Perfect now that the temperature is heating up in the Valley. Made with blueberry vodka, elderflower liqueur ( not really sure what that is but it's delicious!), muddled fresh blueberries, fresh lemon juice and simple syrup.
