This is definitely not someplace I would return to for a meal. To sit on the patio for drinks, and the amazing view of The Superstitions, would be worth it IF you could get a decent server. My husband and I have been here twice in under a year and have been disappointed both times. #1 the servers were friendly, but awful. The waits between being seated, ordering your first beverage, ordering your meal, needing another beverage and, finally, paying your bill, are awful. To boot (pun intended), this western saloon has awful food and steep prices. The burgers would be better served on your own barbecue and the dishes would probably be served warmer. This one is a hard pass. Go out there to enjoy Goldfield Ghost Town but head out when you want a drink and our meal. read more

Awesome food, try the ribeye steak! Unbelievably delicious! Staff are friendly, professional and have a good sense of humor. Plenty of free on-site parking. The atmosphere is western, and it rocks! My entire family loves this place. When my out of state family comes to visit, they always want to go there,& we do! I'm hoping to visit within the next 3 weeks, I'll be eating my ribeye steak and fries with western beans again! I will also be taking photos of the entire place, to share. Worst service I've ever experienced. We were here for nearly forty minutes before our incompetent waitress even bothered to take our order. It was over an hour before our food arrived at our table. The jalapeño poppers were barely edible and the quality of the food in no way matched the outrageous prices. The town is cute and worth a visit but who wants to see the filthy boots of diseased cowboys while you're eating ?? What an awesome experience! My husband and I visited Goldfield Ghost Town for the first time for his birthday and we noticed this Saloon and decided to stop in for a bite and some refreshments. It was a bit confusing as to what we were suppose to do but after speaking with the bartender for a second, he directed us to take a seat and a server would be with us in a moment. Sure enough, our server came by and got our drink orders in a timely manner, and it was a pretty busy day. Hard to talk over the live entertainment but what do you expect? I got the Prickly Pear Iced Tea which I'm addicted to now. Very subtle and not drenched in syrup like other flavored teas, it really hit the spot. I got the pulled pork bbq sandwich which melted in my mouth and my husband got the 10 oz flat iron steak, cooked rare and it was delectable! One of the better steaks we've had in a minute (my husband insisted I tried it it was so good). Our waiter was very attentive and came by often to check on us and refill our drinks. The prices for everything were really reasonable too! Considering we're used to paying $50+ for a steak back home we were expecting the bill to be a bit higher but when it was only $66 before tip, we were floored. What a steal for the quality and portion sizes! There was A LOT to look at in this place. I loved the boots and cowboy hats on the ceiling (some of them were tributes to passed patrons with RIPs and dates, which I thought was a really unique way of commemorating someone), the taxidermy was awesome with some really big pieces on display and there was live music when we were there. Country, of course but considering the atmosphere, what do you expect? Overall, a really great experience! We're hoping to be back down sometime in March and we're hoping to have some extra time to stop by again. read more

A restaurant in a tourist trap mining town, where you can see everything from open carry to a man in a kilt (not drinking Kilt Lifter, thankfully). I'm going to start by saying the service was great. A seat yourself establishment where you might share a long table with strangers. A quick trip to the restroom, no soap, no sanitizer, no paper towels, broken hand dryer. Great. Really limited menu. I ordered a turkey sandwich on sourdough. The bread was so stale it fell apart. Served with plastic cutlery, surprisingly good coleslaw and a bag of chips. Hubs had a pulled pork sandwich. He said it wasn't great, and fries, which were okay. Really shouldn't have expected more. Next time we'll try the burgers and hotdogs place at the entrance. read more

There's a nice view from the window tables. Our server provided good service. The food is overpriced and mediocre. Seventeen dollars for a chef salad is outrageous, so I ordered chicken strips and fries for $13. On the online menu it says T-Bone steaks are $24.95 and I paid $37.95 when I got the bill. My plain Quesadilla was $12.95 instead of $10.95. A bottle of water with my meal was $2.95. The ambiance of this place is impressive. Truly speaks cowboy/cowgirl of the Wild West. Tons of decoration and old feel to the establishment. Great place for grabbing a drink, especially on the patio with the wonderful view. Food itself, ordered three kinds of sandwiches with fries and jalapeño poppers. I REALLY wanted to like this place...such a neat atmosphere situated in an old "ghost town". We were immediately greeted by a nice older gentleman tending bar. He took our drink order, made our drinks, cracked a few great jokes & we never saw him again . Five or six minutes later a younger guy came by and we requested a menu. We both ordered ribeyes as we'd been traveling all day & were starving. The food came out & it was quite good although $2 extra for adding "loaded" to your baked potato was ridiculous! There was one table of about 6 people finishing up and another couple next to us at the bar. That couple wanted another beer but after waiting 15 minutes they decided to pay their bill & leave. In the end they walked out without paying as no bartender came by!! By now we were the only guests although there was a group in the dining room eating a take out pizza??? The only two waitstaff at the time we're enjoying pizza as we were dying (for 20+ mins) for another drink. Finally I got up, went near the group & yelled "I'm going to make myself a drink if someone doesn't come to the bar". The younger guy looked at me & turned away!!! A nice gal cam down to the bar area, made us two more drinks & chatted a bit. This is pretty much a review I know the owner won't see or care about. If you are at Goldfield you are stuck and have to eat here if you are hungry. A Kinda crazy but colorful Italian guy owns the place and he does it "his way" We ordered water- they only have bottled water- no big. When the bill came they charged us 2.25$ for each bottle the kind you get a case of for $2.49. So water is a big profit point for them. We did get a cup with ice to go with our .10 (cost) water. Burger was fine- bun was cold and not toasted. Iceberg lettuce and tomato underneath. Taste was fine and at $7.99 not a bad deal for a tourist trap kind of place. Live music (one guy) was nice and added a lively feeling to the old west restaurant. Dusty and dirty. Everything, and I mean everything hanging on the walls and ceilings was super dirty. Does the job. Really enjoyed the potato skins and they were filling as a meal by itself. Big potato pieces. Also tried the kids fish and chips, small piece of fish, but a lot of "chips" and came with corn which was a hit. Other kid tried a burger, which was well done, but he seemed to enjoy it. Not worth the price!!! They won't give you a cup of water. You can only buy a water bottle for $2.50. So for our family we paid $22.50 for water. (We weren't eating at the bottom of the Grand Canyon where the water has to be packed in by mules. We were 10 mins outside of town.) The fries were cold and had too much seasoning salt on them so some couldn't finish them. My burger was fine but the bun fell apart. We were swatting away flies the whole time (seated indoors). The place was hot with large fans around but still too hot. Four of us asked for ranch to dip our fries in and they brought little cups of ranch but charged us $1 per cup without mentioning that they were charging for it. So $4 for the ranch. Don't eat here!! Limited restaurants in the ghost town, this is one of the better ones of the two to three places to eat in this area. If you're in this town, I'd recommend eating here. ENVIRONMENT - It made me feel like I was a cowboy/girl. Restaurant is very saloon-like, with a stage up at the front, a patio at the back facing the Superstition Mountains and horses parked at the back. Restaurant is spacious as well. It's also quite cool how they give you a newspaper with the town and the saloon's history in the front, and the menu at the back! SERVICE - Friendly. Nothing outstanding. FOOD - Overall not bad. Nothing outstanding as well, but the quality did surprise me for a restaurant in a tourist attraction. + Mammoth burger - This was $12 and was a 8oz burger with onions, mushrooms, cheese. As you can see in the picture, the patty itself was quite big! I was very full after devouring this mammoth of a burger (guess where it got its name from). The fries that came with it was a little too salty for my liking, but they were thick (just the way I like it) and fresh. + Apple dumpling - Around $6. Not a fan of this. There weren't that many apples in it for the price.. and the apples were a little too mushy and sour. The dough part was also a little too thick and hard.. :( Don't get this. Oh, and just a tip, if you don't want to order anything to drink and get water instead.. they still charge you $2.25 for a water bottle (they don't have glasses of water).
