    Pulled pork sandwich- tasted dry.

What a view! Service is good, but however the food is not. Pulled pork sandwich with maybe a hit on bbq and very little portion on the sandwich itself. The pulled pork sandwich was all bread. That bbq pork sandwich needs a revamp.

Okay so.... Yes it's hot they have fans and not AC but let me tell ya about the food that's what you are on yelp for after all right? The 16oz T-Bone hot damn it was better than the $50.00 NY Strip at Arrogant Butcher that I had the night before. Ordered medium rare and it actually came out how I ordered it. The service was great, very nice people that enjoyed conversation with you. The place was pretty quaint and the whole ghost town vibe was cool. Unfortunately we didn't get here early enough to see all the shops so don't miss it!!!

Really cool place. We just had drinks outside. Live music and inside is full of western decor. Didn't eat anything.

Half burger. I didn't bother taking it.

Staff was polite friendly and attentive. Place had a good old town saloon feel. Love the decorations. Food was one step above, free school lunch. Burger was cold, beer was warm, and water isn't free. Come see for yourself

Delicious prickly pear margaritas. Great service, a fun place to explore and listen to music.

Service was good food terrible. Cold dry chicken sandwich. For the cost I wish we would have gone to Wendy's or McDonald's.

We ordered the Papa Bear's Sampler, which offers an excellent variety of meats along with two sides. While it is described as serving two people (or one very hearty appetite), the portion size is extremely generous. It would take quite an appetite to finish it in one sitting. The meats were tender, flavorful, and perfectly prepared, and the sides were equally impressive--especially the potato salad. In fact, the sampler provided enough food for two full meals for my husband and me. I am particularly selective about potato salad, as I have always compared it to my grandmother's recipe, and few have come close. Papa Bear's BBQ is a rare exception. In addition to the outstanding food, the staff was welcoming and attentive, and the pricing was very reasonable. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we look forward to returning.

The place wasn't crowded, but did have plenty of people inside either waiting for orders or eating at some of the handful of tables. I looked at the big menu display screens and then placed my order at the counter with the nice woman who works there. I had the brisket plate with chili and corn bread as my sides. The brisket (some fatty, some lean so I could try their idea of both) was cooked well and had a good smoke ring. The smoke flavor wasn't as strong as I prefer, but different people have different ideas and less is more when you're cooking for a crowd, so I respect that. Their barbecue sauce (the red one -- I don't put yellow sauce on brisket -- had a good flavor that complemented the brisket's flavor rather than overpowering it.) As for the sides, the chili was OK, but not something that I would order again. I like chili and was curious. Curiosity satisfied. The corn bread was moist and that middle-of-the-road between sweet and savory that is common in much of Texas (at least the parts I have visited). I like mine a little more sweet, but, like the brisket, I am a believer in getting the texture right first. Be aware if you are a fan of the sweet corn breads.

We sat at the bar and had a view of the entire restaurant including the kitchen. The place is a well-run and oiled machine. Best quality seafood in the valley. The servers are robotic and will ask you every single time if this your "first time dining with us". Never do the hosts or hostess acknowledge "welcome back". When we take our tables there's always a receipt on our table and I turn it over and it says "big spender" on it. We do order a good amount and always the best stuff. But to put this receipt on your table for us to see is beyond cringe, and on top of it their servers will pick it up and ask if I've been there before. 50 times I'm guessing we've visited in the last year or so. Countless reservations under my name and other friends and bar visits for happy hour. Today was my wife's 38th birthday and we came to Buck and rider to enjoy it with our three boys. For the first time in our couple years coming they id'd my wife for her drink she ordered. She didn't bring her ID. The server got the gm and she denied us even seeing our history of how many times we've frequented the establishment. She didn't care that it was her bday or that we had a picture of her ID she was cold, dismissive and short. Nothing you expect of a place that should welcome us with open arms, remember us and make our experiences there memorable. It's a judgement call for them. Deny our best customers who dine here twice a month or more, who have three boys and take her ID picture or lose a good customer. Common sense and standard judgement have been completely lost

If you're looking for a true taste of Arizona history, character, and downright great food,…read moreDirtwater Springs is an absolute must-visit. Walking through the doors feels like stepping into an Old West ghost town saloon, complete with authentic antiques, historic relics, rustic wood floors, and enough character to keep you exploring long after you've finished your meal. The building and its legendary atmosphere have made it a local favorite for decades, and it's even gained a reputation among paranormal enthusiasts as one of Arizona's haunted destinations. Now let's talk about the food. The Bison Burger was one of the most delicious burgers I've ever had--perfectly cooked, flavorful, and worth the trip all by itself. The menu is packed with hearty Southwestern and American favorites that fit the Old West setting perfectly. What really makes Dirtwater Springs special, though, is the people. The bartenders and servers bring just the right mix of sass, humor, and genuine hospitality. Expect some playful sarcasm, plenty of laughs, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like a regular, even on your first visit. Whether you're coming for the history, the ghost stories, the amazing burgers, or just a fun and unique Arizona experience, Dirtwater Springs delivers. Come hungry, stay awhile, and don't be surprised if you find yourself planning your next visit before you've even left the parking lot. Highly recommended!

It deserves THAT. And I feel we all deserve this as well. A potato can be handled well no matter its size and taste fantastic - why can't the steakhouse cooks (imagine the possibility of upping one's gain by studying the art of cooking the perfect potato so as each patron talks about "That dreamy soft potato! When can we all go back?" Up North owners went head to head for the best steak. Now we all KNOW if one place is too busy it's a delight to hit up our second choice. It's not so much about the food then, it's about "Who will not see, or see?" "What kind of music is playing tonight? Do you want to wait to be seated?" Or is it "Honey I don't care. They're all really good!" That's what locals who live here want. A steakhouse we bring ourselves to. Food that keeps us wanting to go even when it's 110° at 6:30pm. If we home cooks can take an average steak and wow our wives or hubbies...so can our local AJ steakhouse. If the owner is tired, I get it. If the cooks are tired, I get it. But I kind of feel like there's no room for subpar meals in this market. I'd rather be told "The great ribeyes are here! Don't be late as we will sell out." "Our salads this week will be memorably upbeat and crisp! How about a little pear slice added with an EVOO & pear BALSALMIC vinaigrette dressing with or with blue cheese and croutons? Trust me, THAT SALAD brings it, brings people, add chicken on top or sliced steak, and I'm there every 7-8 days all Summer long. Mammoth is about breathing. And staring at the mountain. Alone or with someone. About chatting. And meeting up. It's the party place with a view. Or a quiet meetup. I'm unsure who is missing out on more. U.S.? Or 'them.' More sales. Heavier tips. I think it's all possible and doable. Here's the kicker - the steakhouse does not even have to rebrand. It's a good deal. I know not one person who doesn't like flavor. And a smile. Half portion size options on a few items keeps all ages coming back. A plate for two people to share?....one plate. Two forks n knives, no extra charge? Shared by two people who understand the joy & mindfulness lesson other people in countries practice often - is a positive expenditure most couples both young and old. AN Entree box. Plus box 2 for 1 side or 2 sides or 3. A nice piece of bread, 2 options. Where's the historically beloved ranch shredded pit beef dinner, with barracho pinto beans, a potato and tortilla? I'm looking forward to the day. Love this place. It's not wrong to want to see more joy. I sat at the bar alone. With a family member. Invited others. Outside or inside...at the bar. I've talked to some of the long timers of AJ and other natives. Met people from all over. Invest in your people and I predict a happy future together and more lovely conversations. A few big outdoor coolers might not hurt anyone. Even the hard working staff! It might not be historic but.......thats ok from after Easter thru September. Newcomers? Come on by. Try it. Enjoy it. Have a cold beer and some food. Enjoy a traditional cocktail served up your way. Have some fun. It's good. Ask for what you'd love to see on the menu. Leave the owner an idea. Just remember it's a historic atmosphere and venue. I take everyone here. But quality on my plate is still a must. A lamb chop from the good old USA was indeed historical in AZ way back....hint hint. You know they use to run sheep from the Valley up thru the mountains to the Rim in the early Spring? Yes. We have lots if Basque families. My own granddad was a sheep farmer. My Dad a rancher. There's lots of us here Mammouth. Let's show others the way to AZ via your tables, and that pretty bar with the most beautiful of Golden moments highlighting the historic SUPS and Goldfield ranges.
