The marina offers cable and satellite TV, electricity and internet. (Wi-Fi signal pretty good). The residents of the marina are so friendly and often share what they catch. The laundry, showers, and bathrooms are so clean. There's a seasonal restaurant (breakfast and lunch), there's a dingy dock with jet skis, picnic tables, and gas grills for cooking out. The closest grocery store is "Stop and Shop" about 2 miles from the marina which has an electric charging station. The weekend is more crowded during the week, and everyone knows everyone. The marina is pet friendly and offers doggy waste bags however not a lot of grass for the dog. There were lots of parks near the marina for the dog. The fire pit is great and is often fired up on the weekends. Goodwin Creek Marina is a great home away from home.

Perfect for my elderly family members birthday. Imagine my surprise when a large group of intoxicated people showed up and ruined the entire experience for everyone on board. They continued to drink throughout the tour making it even more intolerable. At one point two of the drunk men stumbled over to where I was sitting for a "better view." They got so close that I was pinned against the boat and one of their friends had to intervene. The captain however, did not intervene. I observed him being tipped by this group which gave him incentive to turn a blind eye to their behavior. I wanted to address all of this at the time but did not want to make a scene in front of my family. Furthermore, I would've had to complain to the captain right in front of the drunk people which would leave me open to retaliation. I did reach out to the company the next day via email and outlined everything that took place. I received an email back a few days later from the captain denying that anything happened. No apology, no compensation of any kind. He had total disregard for the safety of everyone else on board who had their experience ruined. One last note to put things in perspective. I work at a night club. I deal with intoxicated people all the time and have a high tolerance. This behavior was unacceptable and unreasonable, especially since all of their advertising leads you to believe this will be a peaceful experience.

I picked up my Quoddy Lite last spring (my second; it was a replacement--quite expensive!--for the one I bought some 20 years ago. I picked it up rather than have it shipped to my home in NJ. First I went to the wrong address (allegedly because the Water St address is "cached" on the Internet), and had to go quite far out of my way to find the correct address. More importantly, when I got home and removed the shrink wrap I discovered a defect--a break in the gel coat on the top part of the kayak (a ZIG ZAG PATTERN, in BLACK, in an area approx 2"x2"). I was initially told that someone would come and pick it up at my home and bring it back to MA to be fixed and then returned to me. Another alternative was to find a reputable place in my area to do the repair, with Lincoln paying and sending the correct paint color. To my shock, when I finally did find a boat repair place to give me an estimate I received a quote of $1000+ for the repair--obviously ridiculous. BUT I have since been ghosted by Marc, my contact at Lincoln. He stopped responding to calls, texts, emails, and notes on the Lincoln website. I have not heard from him since July, despite repeat efforts at contact. We agreed to wait til after the kayak season was over to have it repaired. He recommended that I cover the breaks in the gel coat with nail polish that matched the orange color. I did that, but after spending thousands on a kayak this is obviously not a satisfactory long-term solution. My conclusion is that Lincoln is no longer the same company it once was when it was based in Freeport, ME. I would advise against spending thousands of dollars on a product for which there is no support from the company, despite its stated lifetime guarantee. This has left me with a terrible feeling about what should have and could have been a delightful experience!

Doesn't everyone want their vacations to be great? I made the mistake of counting on this place to be part of my vacation. I found them on Groupon--extra good! I checked them out on-line. I found evidence that people in the kayak/canoe world gave them the "thumbs up." Sounds good, right? Their marketing info makes it clear that they have to have at least 4 people to honor their commitment to do a half-day guided tour. Their business is on the road between a highway exit & LL Bean. Interpretation: thousands of people drive within 50 yards of this place every day. My trip was in July. Interpretation: peak tourism season. The person booking my tour said it was a pretty good bet. We planned our vacation accordingly. The day before our tour, they called to say they only had 3 people signed up & could not honor our tour. We pleaded our case to the young man, who seemed unable to offer much by way of solution. We asked him to explain to his supervisor, who seemed to be the owner, what our situation was & to call us. No call did we receive. In short, don't count on these people. They aren't concerned about their customers & they don't appear to make much effort to fill their kayak tours. Maybe they are good at other parts of their business (equipment information & sales perhaps), but based on our experience, they don't care about the tours they offer. No customer service whatsoever in this regard.

just placed a call to the parts department looking for a replacement part on a Yamaha motor and…read morecould NOT believe how rude the woman was! we were looking for a small replacement part and while giving the serial number she said she couldn't understand the part number. while trying to clarify the number she claimed the call took a bad "turn" and she didn't like the tone. not sure how long this person has been in the service industry but she needs some additional customer service training. we will be using Hudson's or Rockingham Motor Sports for any future needs. We have many friends in boating and they feel the same way- that's why they go elsewhere.
