4.8 star review. First time visiting. I love the environment, design, bar, and white table cloths. Only small issue was the music was a little too loud - hard to hear conversations. I had the wedge salad and asked for it to be chopped. Done. Then I had Chicken Marsala. My husband and friend had salad with salmon and the roasted chicken. Overall, the food was delicious! Service attentive. I'd go back but I'd take someone with whom I didn't want to have a conversation - too loud. Haha Otherwise it would have been a 5 star review. Today the service was appallingly slow. We arrived after the lunch rush 1:30pm and after being seated waited at least 30 minutes for our water and lunch order. Bread baskets came out to 3 tables that arrived after us, we had completely empty water glasses and no one coming by to ask for more water. It took a long time for our food to arrive, meanwhile people who sat after us got served. There was also some confusion about which server was responsible for our table. We heard they were short a server but honestly, where was the manager? Every table suffered from a lack of service. We were down to our last bites of food when our server finally showed up to check on our meal. For the food: the salmon with the curry sauce was good, however the sauce had no sign of curry...more of a soy sauce flavor. I was disappointed as that was why I ordered it. Two of us got that. The 3rd person got the fried fish sandwich for $26 that Henry's could have done a better job. It's too bad that the man who appeared to be the manager seems to be doing nothing. Any restaurant with this kind of situation should have had a manager walking around, perhaps doing a small dessert or something that made customers feel better about the lack of service. Came here for Father's Day with my best friend and her parents. The place is on a golf course and faces out to the water. The inside was surprisingly nice. I got the crème brûlée French toast, I was definitely expecting something with a bit of cream and would call this more of a bruleed French toast but it was delicious. Came with fresh fruit and whipped cream. The peach Bellini was good. One of the best I've had in a long time. Staff was also very nice. read more

This is a nice place next to Glen Cove golf course. You can sit outside or in. They have nice happy hour 3 to 6. Not a large selection but good for drinks and a good bite. Their regular menu is large with many selections. The service was good as well as the food. read more

Came here for Father's Day brunch and thoroughly enjoyed everything! Sat at a table overlooking the golf course and the bay. Had the egg white omelette which was delicious, a bloody Mary, and a special carrot cake for dessert which was made to order and so good. Service was great, kind and attentive. We are out for our middle daughter's birthday celebration at The Markers restaurant in Lattingtown, NY. We were greeted by our waitress, Cameron, who was wonderful. We ordered our drinks and gave me a large sample of an IPA, Highlife! It was perfect. My wife loves to drink Manhattans but it has to be half rye and half sweet vermouth. She said it was Perfect and she is hard to please! LoL. We ordered our meals: Eggs Benedict, linguine with clam sauce with clams and shrimp, and Pappardelle bolognese. Everything was delicious and we enjoyed her birthday. The waiters came and sang "happy birthday." My wife brought cookies so we ate cookies and ice cream. Great memories for our family! The Market received high marks for excellence in food and service! If you're in the North shore of Long Island the Marker restaurant is a must. Good food and safe travels! Came here for my grandparents anniversary. What a nice hidden restaurant by a golf course on the north shore. We were accommodated very nicely by being greeted and throughout the meal. We started with a salad for the table and calamari. I don't eat calamari but the table seemed to enjoy it. The salad was very refreshing . We ordered the watermelon salad as well as the arugula salad. For some reason all of our tables order was not taken at the same time so there was a 20-30 minute lag between appetizer and entree. This was my reason for one star deduction but the server was very nice and apologetic about the wait . For my main I had the striped bass special without the chorizo. My only critique was they didn't give me a knife so it was hard to cut through the delicious crispy skin with the fork. The whole plate was divine and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a few desserts to celebrate the occasion the best one being the apple for sure! Hot and well spiced! read more

Beautiful entryway that sets a welcoming tone right from the start. We were greeted immediately and seated, even though we were waiting for the rest of our party to arrive. The staff thoughtfully offered the choice of tap or sparkling water, which was a nice touch. Service was a bit on the slow side, but everyone we interacted with was lovely and attentive. We ordered the wedge salad to start, and it was impressively large and crisp. The oven-roasted chicken, spatchcocked and mostly deboned, was flavorful and cooked well. It came with a side of rich mushroom risotto and perfectly tender string beans. Overall, a pleasant dining experience that balanced good food and a warm ambiance. Just be prepared for a slightly leisurely pace--they're only open a few weeks and need to work out the kinks. read more

Went there twice was closed. Went today was sitting at outside bar was told they weren't set up and could not serve us for a half hour and go to bar inside to get drinks. Went inside no bartender asked for water , it seemed to be a chore. Couldn't get that and then asked for drinks from a waiter, but there was no bartender. We were leaving and then saw that bartender gave drinks to someone else . Never mentioned this to us. She said she could only give out wine and beer. Didn't care for our business , after that we left , planned on having dinner there never again. No service!!!! read more

Beautiful view of course!! Went for dinner on a week night. The clams oreganata were delicious! Whole sweet clams great crunchy topping. The macadamia crusted salmon was delicious. The CHICKEN MARSALA was amazing!! The chicken was moist and juicy! Better than I have ever had anywhere! We ordered from the price fixe menu so of course had to get dessert. The pistachio crème brûlée was ok.... I like regular Crème brûlée . The warm chocolate cake was delicious!! Services was great! Highly recommended!!! read more

My family and I came here to dine recently. The indoors is still under construction so it is outdoor/patio seating only, which was totally fine for me because the weather was decent and it has a beautiful view of the golf course and beach in the distant background. We had a reservation, but based on the traffic when we went, I do not think it's imperative to have a reservation. The menu here is similar to that of Brass Rail, but with minor adjustments. For example: here, they had stuffed squash blossoms while Brass Rail had stuffed zucchini blossoms. Both had a Mezcal-inspired cocktails. I liked the flavor combinations at The Marker better. I ordered a Bacon Cheese Burger off their specialty menu and it was delicious. Very generous bacon portion and toppings. The red onion...I'm couldn't pinpoint what they did to it, but it wasn't overly potent like onions usually are. When we arrived, we were seated and greeted immediately. We started off with a lady server, but there was another server named Juan who took good care of us. We were initially seated under an umbrella, but once it started sprinkling, Juan came over to move us immediately to underneath the awning. Good thing he did because 10 minutes later, it started pouring. He was extremely apologetic about not seating us under the awning to start. He was extremely helpful, friendly, and kind. Thank you Juan! Service was fast - cleared the table quickly, kept the water cups full, quick refills, we hardly waited for our food/drinks - until it rained. This is one of our favorite go to spots. Food is consistent and delicious. Servers are wonderful. Ambience and views are amazing! We like to play tennis and go for lunch here after. A lot of people frequent after playing golf. It feels like belonging to a country club but with better food and no membership fees! This place is an absolute gem. The owner, a local guy, clearly put his heart (and a lot of work) into bringing the restaurant back to life, and it really shows the second you step inside. The space feels welcoming and comfortable, with a modern touch that doesn't feel overdone. The food is excellent--fresh, flavorful, and with some fun twists on the classics that make the menu stand out. Everything we tried came out perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The service was another big plus. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and attentive without being over the top. We went for dinner on a weeknight. There was no wait, and we were greeted and taken to the table immediately. The food was fantastic!! We tried the Pre-Fix dinner menu. The starters were delicious, the main courses were outstanding in both the flavor and plating skills(!), the desserts were fabulously decadent. The portions were generous, and we left feeling full and very satisfied... 10 out of 10! Everybody was very nice and welcoming. Our server, Wendy did an excellent job. The owner made sure everything was going well during our dinner. He personally came to the table to ask if everything was to our satisfaction. The interiors are a very nice upgrade to what it used to be when the previous restaurant was in this location. The restaurant is spacious, elegant, and clean! The bar is very well stocked and staffed. The overall decor is very tasteful, the tables are spaced out nicely to give you some privacy, the chairs are comfortable and very stylish. Even the steak knives are very interesting and unusual! All in all, it was one of the best dining experiences we have had in the last few months. The Marker hosted and catered my wife's baby shower this weekend and it couldn't have gone any better! With the help of the very friendly manager Eric, we were able to comb through their endless menu packages that fulfilled our every need. They made sure to give us plenty of time to decorate our private seating area prior to our event date. Due to their very generous and welcoming staff, all of our guest were all welcomed and greatly accommodated. Our guests continue to rave about their delicious food and drinks and all wanted to stay for dinner. I've been here several times with either my family or my friends. I've always had great service and food was always great! I don't eat pork but whenever someone orders it they rave about it and just looks amazing. The duck was awesome and my cod was cooked prefect, one of the best cod dishes I've tasted. Since we really like the brass rail, we had high hopes for this restaurant. Dress code says business casual--it's more like backyard BBQ. The seating is uncomfortable and too close together. When our dinner came, mine was overcooked, and I wanted to send it back. It took a while for the waiter to check on our meals, and by that time, my boyfriend was halfway done with his. I told the waiter that my food was overcooked. He took the dish and when he came back several minutes later, he advised they were going to cook a new one. By that time, I was pretty fed up and told him not to bother. To make it worse they didn't take it off the bill. My boyfriend doesn't like to make a fuss so he didn't say anything. read more

They turned what looked like a deluxe Elks club into a beautiful Restaurant with a great long Bar. The view, L.I. Long Island Sound and the putting green. New restaurant on the golf course. Came a week ago I know it's still brand new so we could only sit outside. The redone deck outside that overlooks the water is beautiful. The wire railing makes for an unobstructed view of the sound. Unfortunately service was a bit slow. I know they just opened so I don't really blame the server but it took about 15 minutes to get our drinks. We were seated next to the bar and the bartender was just chatting with a few patrons. I'm not really sure what was going on but we eventually got our drinks. Same thing happened on the second round but we timed it this time and to be exact it was a little over 17 minutes. Besides from that the food was amazing. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked appealing too. Just honestly waited so long at a not busy restaurant. Very disappointed!!! This was our 2nd time there. Our 1st time was amazing! The food was great, service, very attentive, and the dining rooms made you feel like you were at an up scale NYC restaurant. Not so this time. The bar was full of loud drunk people, the dining rooms were LOUD, the wait staff was a step above a local diner. The food was terrible, steak was tough, vegetables were hard, it was like they threw the vegetables on the grill to get grill marks and then put them on the plate.
