    OneSixty Kitchen and Cocktails, Charlotte
    Bruce K.

OneSixty Kitchen and Cocktails delivers an unexpectedly upscale experience in a modest strip mall setting, proving that good taste does not need a trendy zip code. Tucked into a retail plaza on Shopton Road, flanked by a dental office and a Goodwill, OneSixty feels like it has been airlifted in from a more polished part of town. The interior is sleek and inviting, with a lounge-like ambiance that sets the tone for elevated dining without the pretense. Mrs. K. and I arrived early, around 6pm, and were greeted with warm, attentive service that never felt rushed or performative. Her shrimp skewers were beautifully grilled and generously portioned, and she graciously let me sample one--delicious, with a subtle char and well-balanced seasoning. My Buffalo wings were meaty, spicy without being overwhelming, and served piping hot, which is exactly how wings should be. What stood out even more was the bartender's easygoing approach to crafting a non-alcoholic cocktail. No raised eyebrows, no shortcuts--just a genuinely pleasant drink that felt as considered as any mixologist's signature. It is a small gesture, but one that speaks volumes about the restaurant's inclusive hospitality. And speaking of small gestures, do not miss the whimsical signage on the restrooms. It is a playful touch that adds personality to a place already brimming with charm. OneSixty might be geographically distant from Charlotte's nightlife hubs like South End or NoDa, but it is carving out its own identity in Steele Creek with style and substance. Whether you are a local looking for a refined night out or a visitor curious about one of Charlotte's quieter corners, this spot is worth the detour. This spot really shocked me ! I tried their brunch last weekend & when I say everything we tried was a winner ! Outside of the ambiance being nice I'm glad something nice and upscale has moved over to the Steele creek area . If you don't get anything else try the salmon & grits those had me in a food coma & I'm still thinking about them. The dj played really good music & it wasn't too loud . This lounge will be my new cheers that's how sick they are about to be of seeing me !

Met some friends here for a girls brunch. There was a DJ playing loud music. The place has a day party vibe. The place is small and the tables are close together. We ordered the mimosa tower with strawberry. We had to send the first one back due to the container leaking. However once we got it, it was really good! We ordered a variety of items including Shrimp & Grits and French Toast with bacon. The food was promptly served. It was good but nothing spectacular. While eating we heard a noise that sounded like water hitting the table. We looked up to see the vent was leaking. There was no offer to sit us at another table. We were almost done anyway but still... I would go back just for the vibe and the mimosa tower.

DJ was doing his thing, lighting was perfect, crowd wasn't elbow to elbow. Great place to go with friends to catch up! Food fantastic and the service was amazing. Prices affordable as well. Not kid friendly they have hookah also.

HEADS UP: THERE IS A 20% SERVICE CHARGE ON EACH TICKET THAT IS NOT CLEARLY SPECIFIED ANYWHERE. Also, be aware that there is a 2 hour time limit for your visit. It is nice to have more things to do/places to go out in Steele Creek because there are slim pickings. This venue has a stylish ambience and modern decor. I went on Saturday night around 9 pm and there was a DJ playing a lot of hood classics like Shawty Lo, Yo Gotti, Young Jeezy, and there was a lot of Drake that was played amidst the pedophilic rumors circulating around lol. The venue is a little small, and the tables are packed too closely together, making it easy to overhear conversations from neighboring diners. My table was surprisingly wobbly, which was concerning since this is a new establishment. I had to be careful of moving around out of fear that something would fall. Despite this, the food was quite enjoyable; the Spicy Mami cocktail was flavorful, and the Bang Bang Shrimp was served hot with a delicious sauce. I also ordered the BBQ sliders and sweet potato fries. The fries were hot and there were only 2 sliders. There was a lot of meat on each slider, but the inner big back in me wished there was at least one slider on the plate. Our food and drinks did come out relatively quickly. There is also a cute grass wall for a cute photo op! However, there are some notable downsides. I know establishments are busy on Saturday Nights, but the service was disappointing, with our server, Kendra , being inattentive and largely absent during our short visit. I'm not sure if I saw another server around, so she may have had a lot of tables and she's only one person. Additionally, there was a 20% service charge that wasn't disclosed upfront or on the menu, so it is a surprise. I had to re-examine the menu, and it only says "Gratuity and tax not included" on the page for hookah in VERY SMALL PRINT, so bring your magnifying glass. I'm not sure if there is a DJ every night, but I honestly hope that this place will not quickly become known as another hood establishment because the venue is nice. While the experience had its flaws, I would consider returning during the weekday, hoping they address these issues as they settle into the business.

This place is what I didn't know I needed....IT IS EVERYTHING!! It's so cute in here. The drinks 10/10. The food 1000/10. The vibes....PRICELESS!! It's great for girls night out, date night, or if you just wanna go grab a hookah. My only recommendation if you are cold natured don't sit near the door.

Came with a large group (there were 8 of us) for brunch on Sunday. Very nice vibe, music, and the wait staff was friendly. The shrimp and grits were good and so was the pineapple mimosa. I'd definitely come back and try it again!

What a fun place! The vibes were delightful. The music was amazing, a hip hop mix. It felt like a chic fun upscale adult only vibe. It was giving off club vibes as well but I didn't mind. I will definitely be going back. Oh, by the way, they ID you at the door so don't forget your license. Now let's get into this food. We ordered a lot and everything was delicious. We had hamburger sliders with sweet potato fries, salmon bites, fried cauliflower, and a Caesar salad. I was super surprised that everything was delicious. I've never been to a place where everything was a hit. The service was also amazing. The waitress was so nice and accommodating and she actually suggested the fun drink in the picture. I'm not sure the name of the drink but I was super excited to see the rock candy at the top of my cocktail put a smile on my face! I have to go back for a fun brunch vibe!

Food service and vibe were amazing !!!! I will definitely be back!!!! This was a vibe !!

The food was good. The initial service could've been better, The guy cleaning the tables was great, I believe his name was ( Kj ) he even gave us OneSixty hats. The music was way too loud for the space, you can hear it from the parking lot. We could barely hear each talk, it seems to be the birthday dinner party spot. The music selection was pretty good too.. I'd say it's more for the 21-30ishhh crowd. The place has a nice viibe.

Even the bathroom deserves a mention because it's one of the prettiest restaurant restrooms I've seen in Charlotte. We started off with the foccacia and chilli butter. It was very good, I just wished it would have been warm. The service was excellent from start to finish. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever making us feel rushed. For dinner, we ordered the lamb pasta and the gnocchi, and both were very good. The lamb pasta was rich, flavorful, and while the gnocchi was light, crispy and incredibly satisfying. If you're deciding between the two, you honestly can't go wrong. I would have added some protein to the gnocchi. We finished the meal with the key lime pie, which was the perfect ending. It was bright, refreshing, a bit frozen and had just the right amount of sweetness. A huge deal is that there is plenty street parking nearby. I often dont go to a restaurant if the parking situation is tricky. Overall I would go back.

Queen's Feast Review…read more I really wanted to love this place because I definitely see the potential, but overall it fell short for me. The ambiance was nice enough, but it didn't feel particularly unique. Charlotte could definitely use more casual girls' night spots, though, and this fits that niche well. The biggest disappointment was the service and timing. On a relatively quiet Monday night, our entrées came out about 30 minutes after the appetizers, and the Brussels sprouts didn't arrive until after we'd finished eating--even after we mentioned they were missing twice. Overall, service was really slow. That really took away from the experience. Food-wise, nothing was terrible, but nothing really stood out either. The crispy gnocchi was surprisingly good (and I don't even like gnocchi), and the salads were fresh. Although, the strawberries did not have any flavor which is odd considering its berries season. The market fish was unfortunately overcooked, and the Thai curry sauce lacked the flavor it really needed. The chicken Milanese was mostly breading and didn't have much flavor either. Dessert was the highlight, but it's rare for me to meet a dessert I don't like. The chocolate cake was rich, but I was disappointed that the key lime dessert I ordered (along with four other people at our table) wasn't available because of a kitchen issue. With only two dessert options on the Queen's Feast menu, it would've been nice to get the one we chose. Overall, I'm glad I tried it, but I left not quite understanding the hype. I'd still be open to giving it another chance because I genuinely want to like it--I just hope this was an off night. But based off other reviews, it seems to be their norm.

We were told that we would need to go to the bar for our hookah and drink needs. That ordeal was horrible for the rest of the night. We did not get tended to for our coal refill and repacking needs, even after going to the front several times. The guy kept saying he will come and we watched him go everywhere else each time. We waited way too long. The 1 line for drinks being made by 1 server took extremely long. Although the music was great bring played by the live dj, it did not take away the frustration. No one should have to chase for service that the establishment is known for. No one should have to wait on a extremely long line just to receive a drink at a hookah lounge. This is not a club by any means. Even if you have an event, the establishment should plan much better for the crowd by make it a more efficient and effective experience. The transition was horrible.

We didn't but I would suggest asking if it's possible to do heavy seasoning. Now, the crab ragoons were DELICIOUS!!! The buns(yes buns) were fluffy and didn't over power the crab mixture inside and the honey on top was a great touch!! The good: Out waitress Molly was very nice, the bartender's choice was fun and the perfect drink for each of us. The espresso martini flight was great and my favorite was the creme brulee espresso martini. The drinks were honestly the highlight and why they get three stars over two. The ambiance was pretty and the whole set up of the restaurant was very cool. The food was good, but not amazing for the price point. The disappointing: The entire place was extremely understaffed for a Saturday evening, and nothing on Molly our waitress- she was doing the best she could. We waited 30 minutes to order, because there was only one waitress. We had no utensils or napkins and had to request them after some of our food already arrived. The pretzel sticks are said to come with a cheese fondue- it's just a cheese sauce. We were expecting fondue. The tuna tartare had big chunks of tuna that was fresh, but also warm, which is not ideal for ahi tuna. I only had one piece of the BBQ bourbon pork but my piece was dry- my roommate and husband said that was probably their favorite dish however. The duck confit was my favorite, the microgreens and sweet mango citrus reduction was a great pairing, but again nothing wowing for a $300+ bill. Ultimately, good, just too pricey for the experience itself.
