I scheduled a service with Melanie and she was excellent. I scheduled another service for the very next day with her again. The owner booked my appointment. Payment was required upon booking. And I also prepaid for additional services for later in the month and prepaid for those too. I was unable to make the appointment time. Called the owner and asked to reschedule. He said I couldn't reschedule because of the policy. He nor anyone else ever told me about their "unable to reschedule less than 48 hours" policy. That makes no sense when the service was already paid for. No money is lost. I would've even paid a fee but he refused to reschedule me. I was never made aware of the policy - not in the documents that were sent over for signature (release of liability waivers) and the owner never told me. So how is a first time client supposed to know? It's not even posted in by the check in/out area. So I cancelled my future appointments and requested a refund. Which he credited back to my credit card. I will never go back. Horrible customer service. I

Originating out of NW Arkansas, Savoy has opened their 4th location in the Crossroads. The atmosphere, store layout, options, and hospitality were all solid and guaranteed a return visit. I stopped in on Saturday afternoon to pick-up a Mother's Day gift for my tea drinking wife and walked out with 5 small serving packets, a Mother's Day Bouquet tin - all in a gift bag and a large Sparkling Hibiscus iced tea for my personal enjoyment - $30! Savoy offers a huge variety of types of teas and flavorings. There were 6 different hot tea samples available for self-pour and smelling jars of each variety for a test drive. The small packets are $3 each and a great way to expose yourself to the multitude of options. After buying 4, the 5th is free. The young lady behind the counter knew her product and had her customer service skills in overdrive. It's great to find a clerk that is engaging, complementary and not overbearing or condescending. With so many options for iced or hot beverages - espresso is available too - sweet and savory edibles, great pricing and exemplary customer service - an easy 5 stars. My wife is giving high praise for the Strawberry White Tea she brewed this afternoon. My iced Hibiscus created with sparking water was the perfect anodyne for an 85 degree afternoon. Street parking can be an obstacle; I parked in Lidia's lot and walked a block.

It's super helpful to have sniffing jars for all the flavors too! They have a few harder to find traditional teas (black, white and green) but also fun mixes with fun names. I snagged a few sample bags -- including one about a mermaid -- and looking forward to trying them.

My sister-in-law and I go shopping exactly once a year, in December, and yesterday was the day…read more She excitedly told me that a good friend of hers had strongly recommended Tea Market and had been a customer for years. Cute location, cute shop, we even found a great parking space, things were looking good! And then we went in, ready to spend. There were three total people in the store (us included), it was midday on a Wed (just setting the scene in case you are thinking it was a busy Saturday; it wasn't!) My SIL asked the owner if she could recommend specific products for her friend, gave her the friend's name, etc. Instead of saying "gosh, I really can't look up what she bought but I can recommend some fan faves!" she went with the "you know, I've been here 22 years and I have 12,000 customers" route and seemed incredibly put-out. My SIL and I were like "wait, what?" We left it alone and browsed for a sec - the owner then took literally 47 seconds to type a name into the computer and did come up with a couple of products for my SIL's friend, but she acted like we were asking her to violate HIPAA. This store has plenty of tea, and I totally get why other people love it. I also get why December is hard on small businesses and maybe the owner was just having a bad day. For me, the unfortunate part of our visit wasn't the tea, which I'm sure is....fine? It was seeing the light go out of my big-hearted SIL's eyes when she realized the owner was not remotely interested in connecting with an eager customer. I might add that our stop immediately before this was The Corner Candleshop in Brookside and the difference was mind-blowing. They were lovely, engaged, helpful, and we can't wait to return. I wish I felt the same about Tea Market.

My matcha of the day was a Salted Caramel Matcha with Salted Cold Foam, and my boyfriend ordered the Toasty Coast Coconut Cinnamon Latte. Once again, as someone who doesn't typically drink coffee, I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed his latte. This seasonal drink (must try for the coffee lovers) is bold and flavorful, with sweet notes of toasted marshmallow and a hint of coconut that balances it out so perfectly. My matcha was smooth and subtle, but the added salted caramel gave it a punch of flavor that made it so tasty. Since we do not eat much, we also shared the Spicy Hawaiian Honey Pizza Bagel, with one half topped with pepperoni and the other just cheese. The portion was more than enough for the both of us, as we both only ate half of or halved bagel, but every bite was beyond delicious, packed with sweet and spicy flavors throughout! What a great pick!

The space is very bright and cute - great for a visit to read or doodle (I did a little doodling of the shop during my visit). They even have a little shop area with some super cute and unique KC gear. I had a hot hazelnut latte and it was just okay, the flavor was pretty bland in my opinion and it was automatically served in a to go cup which bums me out. I like to sit and enjoy my coffee right there and love a good hot mug, it's part of the visit experience to me. The cute shop and incredible staff made my visit itself great overall, but the coffee could be leveled up a bit. Nonetheless, I would visit again :)
