Iced Knafeh Latte with Oat Milk
Candice S.

Turath Coffee is a beautiful new coffee shop off College and 69. The inside is so clean and wonderfully decorated. It is very spacious, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is clear to read, though a lot of the offerings are new to most I assume. I had never had anything like it so I ordered a Knafeh Latte based on a previous positive review. It might just be the smoothest drink I've ever tasted. The cold foam on top was a perfect mixture of coffee and sweet. The pistachio toppings were a nice touch on top, and the drink itself was perfect. I am also a big fan of matchas so I will have to come back and try more. This place is very close to me and kept popping up for me to try, but honestly I was very intimidated by the menu when I looked online. I want to say that the barista was very friendly and helpful. She didn't judge me when I didn't know how to pronounce my drink, and she answered any questions I asked. If you are worried about trying a new type of coffee spot, just know that you are in good hands here!

Another beautiful (new) Arabic coffee place in Overland Park area. Ambiance is great, well designed with cute tables. Menu has different varieties of tea, coffee, lattes and refresher drinks. They also do have some delicious pastries and cakes. We ordered Iced Pistachio lattes. They have two different flavors. We ended up trying both of em. Knaffe latte (Pistachio latte, vanilla cream with Knaffe topping) & Iced Baklava latte (Pistachio latte, rose water with actual rose as topping) I really enjoyed Knaffe latte. Looking forward to trying their other drinks especially Adeni chai in my future visits. Girl at the ordering counter gave some good ideas and suggestions too if you're not sure of what to order and this is your first time at the Arabian coffee place.

First timer who was truly impressed with the not only the aesthetic of this Arabic coffee shop. The name which means Heritage drives home the feel, coffee drinks and some of the food offerings. It reminded of cafe I'd seen in some of Middle Eastern countries I've been too. Warm neutral colors, "sultan tent draping & Filigree Lanterns on the ceiling, a lounge corner with a rug, couch and chairs. There was regional wooden art and bookshelves home to vases, dallahs, books, and other staple household items. Now the menu had different cafe options and I honestly wasn't sure what to try because I didn't know how some of the flavors might taste so I left it upto the barista. She described the signature drink Turath Later so I landed on that. The date and spices were definitely unique rich, caramel like sweetness was a hit! I'd definitely get it again.

Yum!!! The turath latte is so good, both as hot and iced. The cheese manakeesh was so good too. The inside is pretty cute! There's a good amount of seating but it can get crowded and a little loud. Popular place! Would definitely come back to try the other drinks!

This place is great! From the relaxing and vibey atmosphere to the delicious taste of the coffee, this coffee shop is incredible. There is tons of seating on the inside including some couches with softer cushions, to regular chairs mostly. The menu offers lattes, matcha's, teas, etc. I thought the latte options were unique and diverse. I ordered the Knafeh latte which had pistachio, knafeh, and a foam on top. The staff was super friendly and were working so quickly to get orders out! Usually when coffee places are busy, it can sometimes take 10-15 min to get your order. But my coffee was out within 2-3 minutes with lots of other people in line! I have nothing bad to say about this place! I will be back.

Turath Coffee is beautiful and their Arabic coffee menu feels very true to their roots. I ordered the Turath latte (Turath's Special Date & Spice Blend topped with Cold Foam). It's served with whole milk as the standard, but they also offer almond, oat, and coconut milk alternatives. I ordered it with almond milk and it was absolutely delicious. I also tried their cheese Manakeesh (Flatbread Topped with Halloumi Cheese), and it was delightful. The cafe has about 16-20 tables seating two to four people. Ample and easy parking lot.

Good decoration... good vibes... quality drinks... nicely done... a little crowded and expensive but tasty... I will go back there again. With amount of orders that they have good service. Friendly people at the counter too. I have not tried.

So... I hate to be the only person to give a lower score... I ordered a fig matcha and I'm unsure if the fig is just VERY light, or if they forgot the fig. Because there was no hint of fig, nor was there any sweetness. They did have some bakery items that looked so good, and I didn't see them when I got the drink. I'll have to come back. Plenty of seating, loved the decor. Tried the cardamom latte as well, and that was amazing!

First time here! Yum!

So cute!!! Definitely a hidden gem in a strip mall. Beautoful music playing, super clean, the workers were friendly and fast! I had the iced strawberry matcha latte with oat milk, it was PERFECT. Definitely will be back!

I cant express how happy I am that we finally have a middle eastern coffee shop open late to satisfy my needs after 5pm. I am someone who wants a late night coffee to help digest and socialize within my culture with good company. Turath meets all those expectations and even offers some pretty amazing house made middle eastern treats. I love coming here to visit with my friends and family because the ambiance is so open and welcoming!

Ok so we will be coming back. Cute place, good coffee, yummy snacks, and nice employees. I'll probably look for a coffee option next time that's more coffee forward and less sugar/milk, but that was my first time.

Just checked out Turath Coffee that recently opened in OP, and overall it's a great addition to the area. The ambience is really nice--modern, aesthetic, and super inviting. The whole place smelled amazing, and their pastries and menu items all looked really interesting. I tried their signature Turath latte. It wasn't my absolute favorite latte I've ever had, but it was still solid and definitely worth trying. I noticed a lot of people ordering matcha, so I'd love to come back and try that along with some of their other latte options. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the place was pretty busy, which is always a good sign. Excited to come back and explore more of the menu!

Knafeh iced latte

I've had two visits to this coffee shop and the Knafeh iced latte & then the Levant iced latte. Both were outstanding drinks! The Knafeh had pistachio & Knafeh pieces on top & was my favorite of the two. The shop is beautifully decorated & had lots of seating available. It's $7 -$8 for my drinks. Fair warning ...this will become your main coffee stop even after your first visit.

That's on the expensive side for a latte, so I went in with pretty high expectations. Everything about the experience was quick and efficient. The line moved fast, my drink came out quickly, and I was in and out with no issues. The shop itself seemed like a great place to sit down and get some work done or catch up with a friend. Since it was such a nice day, I decided to sit outside. My first sip immediately stood out because of the texture. It was probably the smoothest coffee I've ever had; silky, creamy, and almost pillowy on the tongue. Unfortunately, that's where most of my praise ends. The coffee itself tasted fine, but nothing about the flavor stood out, especially considering the price. I ordered a vanilla latte, but I couldn't taste any vanilla at all and got virtually no sweetness from the drink. Overall, it's not bad coffee by any means, and the texture was genuinely impressive. But for nearly $9, I expected a lot more flavor. I don't regret trying it, but I wouldn't come back at that price point.

It's shaded because it's on the backside. I ended up getting an iced Blue Moon Latte, Full Moon sweetness and hot moon matcha to go. Both with oat milk. Their signature sweet cream and oak coffee was good. Since I asked for light ice, it was definitely more milk so the flavor was light, just a hint. My mom liked her matcha just fine.

First of all, be sure not to blink because the sign isn't very visable and the location is unassuming from the outside, abeit a very clean exterior. Walking in, I love the vibe, trendy but not pretentious, grounded yet modern and a fair amount of people but not overflowing. Yessiree Bob, this is my kind of place. Oh and the baristas are patient, kind and willing to offer advice based on your individual tastes. I've been here several times; however, my eating habits preclude me from indulging in anything outside of berries. Do the apple fritters, donuts, muffins and other items look outstanding, of course they do. In fact, my buddy whom I generally meet there has raved how good the pastries are and after living in Austin and trying home made poptarts, I'm still kicking myself for not trying them. However, the path to maintaining a healthy weight and figure is paved in discipline. I must admit they nailed the ambiance. The cement floors are patterned with what looks like dark wood textured tiles and the walls are a warm burgundy, emitting a certain visual warmth. The hanging art amuses me, sometimes it's movie paintings, sometimes its modern art while other times it's eclectic and I've never figured out their rotation, but I appreciate it. The hanging lamps offer a bit of 2010 mod while the open coffee service area proudly displays all of the tools of an expert craftsman. The counter area has a small display case enticing the sweet tooth and the chalk boards give a simplistic view of their menu, but they also offer daily "experiments" that are fun to sample. The first time I came, I tried the Café Au Lait which was very strong, robust and full of lasting flavor. The 12oz amount seemed to be about perfect for my needs. The next time I dropped by I sampled the Dulce de Leche which was a mistake. Why, you might be wondering? Because I've never ordered anything else since then and I always get the 16oz. It's smooth, a little softer on the coffee flavor while balancing it with the strong caramel notes. I know it's probably got more calories than I want, but hey, that's why I'm not eating! They also have some pretty good selection of home ground coffees from places like Ethiopia, Costa Rica, Brazil and other far, far away locations. Come to think of it I don't recall if they have any Hawaiian beans which are pretty trendy now (Kona is a great coffee!!) Oh I forgot to mention they do have a fast wifi but please for the love of God, don't be that geek in the corner pretending to write the great American novel in the corner. That's so.... 2000s.... Overall, this is my favorite coffee shop in Overland Park and it's not even close. Stop on by for the best coffee experience you'll have in the area!

After several visits over the years, I've only had their coffee and pastries, not their cafe food. The interior is cute and there's often a queue upon entering to order at the counter, but don't let that intimidate you because it moves fast. I recommend getting some of their water on tap (both still and sparkling water are available) if you have to wait! If you're queer like me, you'll likely be drinking a cold black coffee and they have options! They have a regular cold brew in 3 sizes, a cold brew of the moment / seasonal (ask about it!) and a cold brew shandy for something different. My partner and I got two different cold brews on tap today, the original and the Seasonal Single Origin Honduran one. The single origin Honduran was better, but their original was good too. There's a lot of seating, but it's usually taken up, so I tend to just take my coffee to go. Expect to walk out for around $6ish a cup.
