Sketchy AF. Extremely overpriced and recommended services that were NOT needed. Said brakes were metal to metal, not true they had 3 mm of thinkness. Said it was overheating, but when I questioned them , they changed their mind. Never again! Yes, 3mm is replacement time but NOT metal to metal. These were rear brakes, so 3mm is not at catastrophic level. I don't like being lied to. You told me it would be ready by the end of the day that you were just confirming the repair, and when I called at the end of the day , you said we don't even have it back together yet. Went in last week because of an oil issue. When leaving, an employee of the store was standing in the parking lot, on his phone, blocking the flow of traffic. He wasn't paying attention to the cars trying to get around him. Instead of honking at him, I waited for him to move on his own. Once he noticed me, I started to pull around him and he began cursing at me, calling me slurs, and chasing my car. He kept yelling obscenities after me for no reason and freaked my girlfriend out. If this is the kind of person that Wilson keeps on their team, stay far away from them. This employee acted like a little child throwing a temper tantrum and he attempted to become violent, all because he was embarrassed about not paying attention and blocking traffic. On top of that, Wilson failed to give me any sort of insight on what my oil issue might be. My car had a code relating to my problem and when I showed them the code, they didn't even read it. They basically just said "that sounds bad, sorry." We specifically went to Wilson for the oil change/inspection bundle to fix this issue, but all we got was an overpriced oil change with no tips for how to move forward. If you are someone who wants to feel comfortable at an auto shop, stay far away from Wilson. I have never encountered a worker as immature and aggressive as the one there. And if you have any auto problem that needs fixing, you'd be better off going somewhere else. *EDIT for Brian: My visit was Friday the 25th, leaving the store at about 3:30. The car brought in was a Nissan Altima, and it was my girlfriend's appointment which is why the names don't match. The person at the desk was Eli. I don't recommend using this establishment. I brought my 2007 car in for repair and was charged $170 to inform me they needed another $471 to do more diagnostics. The customer service was non existent. No explanation just Ok, go somewhere else. I chose this business because I wanted to keep my business in the area I live. Found via the Carmax app and had good reviews on Google. So why not go totally out of the way to go here. Quoted me $1100 out the door for 3 new tires which was the plan discussed on the phone. Then went to purchase and it was $1700 which was not what was discussed on the phone. Communication was definitely an issue. One that left me feeling lied to and frustrated. And the woman at the desk seemed like she couldn't care less. Taking to my usual Firestone to get a second opinion after feeling bamboozled once. Was told on the phone that the tire problem is very rare in Volvo. It's more of a Subaru issue. I'm not totally sure that the tires were the main issue so I'm taking it to Firestone. We'll see. Wilson Tire & Auto is located in East Nashville not far from the Airport on Murfreesboro Pike, and for the most part is your standard locally owned oil change/vehicle repair shop. Wilson Tire is a partner with Carmax and when I filed a claim for repair with my MaxCare account, they referred me to Wilson Tire & Auto due to scheduling issues at CarMax locations. I will say that Wilson Tire was flexible, communicative and easy to work with in the process. I had to reschedule a time or two due to weather in January and they were easy each time. I was communicating via text with the owner and when I was ready to make the trip, I let him know and they worked me in. My repair did require a part to be ordered and while I was not anticipating leaving my vehicle overnight, it was easier than making several round trips from West Nashville. The drop off and pick up process was pretty simple. They could not guarantee a timeline and I do wish they were a little more communicative of delays and finish times, but I get it...they had a car in every bay during my multiple visits. I dropped my car off on a Tuesday morning and got it back on Wednesday afternoon, so all in all...not too bad. While they were making the repair, I also requested an oil change and tire rotation. The staff had zero issues and let me know it would not be a problem to add that to the visit. Once it was complete, the check out process was fine, as they had to get the quote approved through CarMax, which was the only delay, and was not in their control. Overall, my experience with Wilson Tire & Auto was a positive one. I do not live on that side of Nashville, so it is a hike for me if ever needed again, but I would definitely recommend them for simple or complex services to any in need! read more

Where do I start? First of all, they booked my appointment on the wrong day and texted me saying I'd missed it. I rescheduled it for the correct day, arrived on time for my appointment, only to find that I'd made an appointment simply to drop off my car. I waited, because what I needed was something fairly simple. (I had a piece of plastic dragging the ground that needed to be either removed or repaired, and I thought I'd ask about a sensor light while I was at it). Well, I waited for 3 hours until they finished looking at my car. The guy parked my car back in the lot. I waited for someone to update me, and finally I had to walk up to the counter and ask if they were done. No, apparently they needed even more time to take the car apart. I explained that I had to go to work, so I'd need to come back another day. I asked about the repair I had originally requested, and they said it couldn't be done. So bottom line, I waited over 3 hours for them to hand me a laundry list of expensive repairs I hadn't asked for, charge me $158, and not do the one thing I had asked for. I am very disappointed in this place, and I cannot recommend them to anyone after my dismal experience. And in response to the owner's response, That would have been understandable had I booked online, but I called and spoke with someone to book the appointment - I specifically said either Monday afternoon or Tuesday, and she suggested Tuesday. Also, I wasn't given a choice of whether to drop off or wait. I assumed if I was making an appointment, that I was waiting for the work to be done. Thank you for the refund. This was my second time using Wilson's. This time I had some pretty major issues with my truck coming in. They were very responsive and were able to diagnose the issues quickly. I was able to get my truck within a few days. I would highly recommend taking your vehicle here with any problem you may have. We took our son's car there because the engine cowling was loose and flapping underneath the car. After a short wait, they got it up on a hoist and fastened it. They did not charge us for anything. Will definitely use them again when we need any car repairs or tires! Very nice people! read more

Went to to get my a/c checked to see if there was a leak or if it was the compressor. They quote me $160 for the diagnosis which was fine. They call me later saying they need to keep it over night and said it is a $135 charge. That's almost doubling the price quoted for the same job and making it $300 for just the diagnosis. It was overcharged with Freon and they fixed that but ultimately wasn't the problem. They gave the rest of the vehicle an inspection which is fine but I paid $160 to know what was wrong with the a/c, not the rest of the car. $160 later and I still don't know the issue. They were nice and seemed knowledgeable but, it felt like I was just given the run around to get as much as they could out of me. read more

The crew at Wilson does a great job and is great with their communication and service. Javier and Brian took great care of my car and kept me on the loop the entire way. I love that they do their P1-P3 system to let you know what they think should be done now and should be done in the (near) future after an inspection.
