However, now they have a haughty hostess who thinks she is working at a restaurant in Manhattan. Tables were empty, but she was not seating people after 45 minute waits. I love this place but it is a little too pricey, especially for Cheyenne. I came once for a dinner with work colleagues and another time for happy hour drinks. The drinks and food were good but the service was a little slow and one of my colleagues didn't get the right side. I love the decor and atmosphere inside though! And the outdoor patio was nice and it was great that they let me have my dog on the patio. They were doing a Facebook promotion on Cheyenne Day though with whiskey drinks and when I got there it seemed like none of the servers knew what we were talking about so that was really annoying. I had to show them the Facebook event on my phone for them to be like "ok, I guess we can do that." I still really like the Met though and will most likely come back. read more

We are visiting Cheyenne and stopped for lunch. The Mexican. Ken soup was very good but the arugula salad lacked imagination or flavor. The dressing seemed to be just some oil, no hint of tang from any vinegar. There were 4 small pieces each of yellow beet and orange slices and about a tsp of cheese. This is my third visit our first and second waitress was amazing she really made our dinner great and requested her, but the hostess said she was no longer with the company. Our service this time was horrific. We watched a male server harass a hostess and it clearly wasn't enjoyed by her. Our waitress Teesha? Was rude, and completely incapable of doing her job instead of gossiping with others about her coworkers she should be checking in on her tables because table next to us wasn't happy either. Food was mediocre nothing like before sad to say until they change who they allow to serve and cook we won't be back. Where to begin, I'll start with the good. The flavor of the wings and the filet was amazing. The atmosphere is beautiful.... however the time it took to receive our meals was beyond ridiculous. We had a party of 24 that was supposed to be a surprise however when the anniversary couple came in they asked if they were part of the big party of 24. Surprise spoiled! They had special menus printed out for the party with a limited selection. Upon looking at the regular menu on our phone we noticed they selected the priciest options for the special menu. If going to do a limited menu I would suggest having enough of those items prepped for quick turn around. We placed our order at 7:05 and it was not till 8:35 till one small plate of chicken wings came well before the rest of the meals finally arrived! Slowly the rest of the food arrives. Two plates of Salmon were returned due to being undercooked. Two plates of the filet were over cooked. Our children's cheeseburgers were the last to arrive. They never received drinks. Back to our arrival we were offered bubbly with no mention of price creating the illusion it was a part of the metropolitan experience! That is not the case the waitress came up to us at the end trying to add 4 bottles of bubbly to the ticket. No one had ordered this service. We left feeling a bit cheated and saddened as this is a beautiful establishment and we do hope the best for them. Maybe after the kinks are worked out we may visit again. read more

Great chance to finally have good atmosphere and food in Cheyenne. Third attempt to come in, hostess was finally very nice and not the snotty attitude met with the first couple of times. Superb interior, beautifully done but trash cans overflowing in bathroom is one of my pet peeves. Service was delightful attentive and even when they forgot to bring something to the table handled it tremendously well. The food...... well a mix... the brussels are amazing. The charcuterie platter... well quality is good but no crackers or bread, well I guess a finger works. Who the hell does this. Entrees, great quality and pretty much every item DROWNED in truffle oil.... this is synthetic crap, I know it is trendy to use but back it off, 40% of the population hates the flavor. On the whole fire the chef, get in someone in who doesnt rely on one fake flavor and with the amazing building and good staff this should be great. The service was fine, although I had to laugh when the waitress said "brilliant choice" or "wonderful decision" after each order. I said I wanted something where she would say "are you an idiot"? Lol. I had the portobello mushroom sandwich. It was just OK. I have had portobello steaks in Napa that truly tasted like steak. This mushroom tasted like it was from a grocery store. The filling needed some texture and spice. The fries were good, as was the micro salad on half of the bun. My wife had a Greek salad for $11. She was dismayed at the small size, and felt the feta was bland. The portobello sandwich was $14. I see real potential in this restaurant, but one should not come away feeling hungry. read more

Nice restaurant. Really surprised how big it really is when you walk in. The food was amazing. It was a lot louder than I would have thought it would be. With a bar inside you figure they would've thought about how to separate or soften the noise so it didn't carry as much into the dining room but is wasn't loud where we had to yell at each other so we could hear. It wasn't super loud is what I'm saying, just caught me by surprise. I gave a 4 star review mainly because the staff didn't even acknowledge us when we were leaving. I've been to diners where when leaving the house would at least thank us or tell us to have a good night. The hostesses just looked right at us as we were leaving and went about their conversation they were having with each other. Not enough to ruin my experience but something that should not happen in such a high end restaurant for this town. I highly recommend this place though.
