We were looking for something easy as we wanted a quick stop, but something different from the typical chains and this place delivered! We opted for the fish tacos and chicken tinga bowl. Boo Boo and I came here for a quick bite after a day at universal. It's a mom and pop fast casual spot that mixes middle eastern and Mexico flavors. And I got the lamb kofta over rice and lentils with red beans, fajita veggies, pico, pickled onions, and tabuleh. We got free bhaklava and freshly made churros with our check-in. The other tables got free churros too thanks to me. Smart owner to make extras when he was frying fresh churros. I sort of get the hype except I don't totally subscribe to it. It's fun, it's different, it's new. We went in and found a small, packed place. That's not so good during Covid. The staff were working hard and quite friendly. It was our first time so we had a couple questions. They were answered without a sigh or eye-roll. It was pretty quick to get in and out. My boyfriend and I stumbled on this Mexican/Mediterranean casual dining gem late one Saturday night after seeing a movie at Point Orlando. We were very hungry and this was one of the few places that was still open at 10 pm. It was a little hard to find because the restaurant front faces the main highway and when you pull in to the shopping plaza you have to go around the building to see the restaurant. The interior was very clean and bright. The people working that night explained that they were a fairly new establishment. Seating was ample and the table sizes ranged from 4-12 people so you could bring a larger party there. It is a casual dining setting and reminded me or Qdoba or Chipotle. Just like Chipotle or Qdoba you order your base, toppings and fillings as you go. My boyfriend chose Mexican and I chose the Mediterranean fare. Both were good and filling selection was satisfying (please refer to menu..there's a lot to choose from!). The dessert menu is limited to churros and baklava. Both which were very tasty. I just returned from traveling from Spain 3 weeks before and the taste of the churros was very authentic. At the time we went there was an offer for a free dessert if you check-in with Yelp so we were also able to cash in on this advantage. It is vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free friendly and would be perfect for a group with varied dietary needs and preferences. They also have organic sodas available in fun flavors. Spent a night on I-drive, before heading on to vacation at Disney. Wanted to do a quick dinner, where we could sit indoors, and chose The Mexican Camel. Turned out to be a good choice. Think Chipotle, and you'll get the general idea of this place. However, I think the Camel had a lot more options of items to put on your bowl. My wife and I both had rice bowls, and loaded them up. My protein was the tinga chicken, which they warned me was a little spicy....and it was. But it was very good. Definitely a place to consider if you want quick and easy. read more

It's hard to find quality Mexican food offerings around Orlando, much less quality VEGAN Mexican food offerings, so I'm grateful to the local vegans who put this place on my radar. We were helped through our first visit by the very courteous Ahmed - he gave us the full run down on all the vegan options, how to build our own vegan concoctions, and even surprised us with a free serving of their vegan baklava - (I tasted floral undertones in it and it was absolutely delicious) - and also a free serving of vegan churros! And as a churro connoisseur who doesn't get to have them anywhere near as much as I used to due to the lack of vegan options, these rival the best I've had, vegan or not. The only others I've tried were at Paris Disney, which were great, but these are better!!! (yes, better than Disney Churros - the universally agreed upon Crown Jewel of Churros!) For our meals, I had the Vegan Shawarma Bowl and my gf had the Vegandilla (vegan quesadilla. Both were AMAZING. I'm a man of sauces and the Mexican Camel has some of the best. Their "White Camel" sauce is incredible and the creamy chipotle sauce that came with the Vegandilla actually reminded me a lot of one my all time favorite sauces, the long extinct red pepper dip from El Toritos of all places (I of course left with several helpings of it - Thanks Ahmed!) We've been back several other times to try all their other vegan offerings and none have disappointed! If you're thinking about giving this place a try, stop thinking and get over there NOW. This place is a hidden gem in Orlando. Our party of 5 ate here two days in a row and ordered almost everything on the menu. I personally had the pulled chicken bowl (#7). The dish is packed with rice as well as corn salsa and the most rich, moist, pulled chicken available. Diffusion between Mexican and Mediterranean food works really well here and the sauces is complement to that. Your server will be able to tell you which hot sauces are best and recommend when not to try the red hot sauce as it is very very hot. Do yourself a favor and try this place out! I would pair a bowl with some chips and get a side of their local draft soda. The restaurant is fast casual style (like chipotle) and is super clean on the inside. This restaurant is a fusion of mexican and mediterranean. It is kind of like a chipotle with more options. We looked at yelp and found this. We also did a check in via yelp and got free churros for my son. I couldn't eat them but he enjoyed them. There are a few vegan gf options. It was tasty. the lentil soup had a little too much pepper though. Also they had to make more which i didn't know and unfortunately my family was all done eating by the time i got my soup. The Mexican Camel is a cute Mexican joint in Orlando that serves fusion Greek/Mexican food. There is lots of space on the inside to sit and eat peacefully. The service and ambiance are good. The servers were super nice and once I said I do Google reviews they gave me a free drink, so make sure to help The Mexican Camel by dropping a review for their kindness! There is an option to get a bowl which was very similar to Chipotle, but with more Greek options for toppings like Kalamata olives, etc. I got the Mexdilla and it was actually very tasty. There was a lot of meat and a lot of crispy quesadilla with 2 sauces, a sour cream and another creamy savory sauce which I really enjoyed. The food comes out very fast as they start working on your dish as soon as they take your order. The problem I had with the Mexdilla was that sometimes the meat wasn't very distributed very well. Sometime bites would have too much meat and some other bites would be just tortilla, but both the tortilla and meat were very good. All meats I tried were incredibly tender my favorite being the pulled beef! Then I tried my drink which was one of their 3 unique agua frescas. The watermelon basil lime agua fresca was ok in my opinion. It did taste fresh, but it had too much seasoning and not enough sweetness to be a fresca. However, if those kinds of your drinks are your thing go ahead and get all the frescas because they are a somewhat acquired taste. Don't get me wrong they were all refreshing and had lots of flavor!
