The installation team showed up on time and ready to work. When an issue was identified with our subflooring on our stairs, South Bar Carpets sent out their wood specialist, who checked each stair to ensure it was structurally sound and discussed our options for remediating stains. He could have easily told us the stairs needed to be replaced (a hefty price), so I really appreciated his honesty! We treated the stairs ourselves following everyone's advice, then the installation team returned just when they said they would to finish the job. They were polite, helpful, efficient and did their best to contain the mess. Highly recommend. I love our new carpeting!

I received an immediate canned response that clearly wasn't based on anything I wrote or the photo I submitted. It even included a note about ignoring outreach from other companies. The next message invited me to call Joshua Diaz-Blanks, so I did. My call went to voicemail, I left a message, and I never heard back despite calling during their posted business hours on Saturday. Before they closed on Saturday, I texted Joshua. His response was that his grandmother was in the hospital and might not make it. I was sympathetic, offered prayers, and told him we could reconnect Monday or later if he needed more time. Then nothing. No follow-up, no update, no communication at all. On Monday, I walked into Banner Carpets on Artesia instead and purchased what I needed. It was a small $1,300 job, but small jobs add up and reliable service matters. This was handled very poorly, Joshua. I truly hope your grandmother recovers, and if her time is up, I wish her peace. But using a family emergency to excuse basic lack of communication is not professionalism. At some point, adulting is tough, but following through on what you promise is part of running a business. Like paint you can think something will look good and you'll never know until it's installed. I am glad I trusted James's instinct. His two staff floor installers were also some of the best I've seen. Prior to James I had a carpet installer at another place and the carpet ended up having rolls in it 1-2 years later. AND.. I also had a kitchen remodel where the flooring people allowed water to seep in and the floor was damaged a year later (but it was too late by then and I could not get it replaced). These are OTHER experiences I am comparing to so you understand HOW GOOD JAMES IS. To-date, the carpet on my stair well is still flawless (this is now years later). And the the luxury vinyl plank James recommended are still my favorite in both color and quality. There have been zero issues. Not only did I come away with area rugs for three bedrooms, the kitchen table, stair treads for my staircase, Taylor had a piece of in and outdoor carpet cut for my front entrance that fit perfectly! When the rugs were delivered, I found he had bound a runner from what was left of the carpet used for the circle rug under my kitchen table that gave me carpet in my hallway -- so nice! He also sent a remnant roll from what was left after cutting the front door mat. It was a pleasure doing business with them, and I will be back for more of my carpet needs.
