I had The Godfather 10" gourmet pizza. This pie had a tasty tomato sauce base on a worthy crust, topped with pepperoni, Italian sausage, grilled chicken, mushrooms, and tomato pieces. I was pleasantly surprised how the chicken became a part of the toppings flavor profile. We had a fabulous meal here on Sunday 3/8/25. First, it was great to find this gem open on a Sunday night. Second, the location was amazing. What a cool building with rich history. Our experience was outstanding. We mentioned we were first timers and in for a funeral. The server took our order and food/drinks arrived in a timely manner. The manager came over to check on us, give us a little history on the building and offer her condolences. Which was above and beyond. We had the hot honey pizza, pretzels, wings and cold beers. I honestly could have ordered so many things as everything sounded amazing, but we wanted some comfort food. Thanks for an amazing meal and wonderful southern hospitality. Myself and a friend went here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon following a historic train ride on the VA scenic rail way. We sat outside on the patio in the lovely weather under an umbrella. We ordered unsweetened tea and an Arnold Palmer. She didn't quite understand the Arnold Palmer, but was gracious and fixed it quickly when she realized the error. We both got salads. He got the Cobb minus bacon plus fried green tomatoes. I got a strawberry arugula salad minus goat cheese plus salmon with a jalapeño lime ranch. The salads were fresh and fantastic. We had NY strip steak comes with salad, mashed potatoes and gravy and asparagus Nice cut of meat and cooked to order. Thoroughly enjoyed. The pork chops with peach bourbon glaze salad and asparagus. Very good Chicken salad croissant sandwich( delicious) Came with chips or pasta salad. The pasta salad was realllly good. The cook loves good food. Everything had a nuance of fresh herbs and was well crafted. The blackberry old fashioned's were very good as well. We all wished they were closer cuz it would be a regular spot for us for sure. Went on a Friday night so it was a little busy but the wait time they gave us was accurate. It took a while to get our entrees but drinks and apps came promptly, and when the food did get there it was hot and tasty. I got the strawberry salad and added chicken. It was dark inside but not so dark that you couldn't see, and the music was at an appropriate level. The one star off is just because of the wait for the food, it was noticeable especially after waiting 45 mins for a table. read more

This was my husband and I first time there. I read great reviews on yelp. First, however, one of the reviewers mentioned the fried green tomatoes and how she felt they were premade-frozen. I love fried green tomatoes so inquired. They are House Made. I asked our server Zoe and she confirmed by going in back to talk to chefs. She said they told her much of their items are house made! We ordered as our Starter. They were wonderful! Came out hot and with it was a corn relish and pimento cheese spread. (I posted a picture) My husband ordered the godfather pizza. It was loaded. Our waitress recommended one of her favorites which was the Italian focaccia sandwich which I had. It was also wonderful. What was nice also were the choice of sides you can choose. I had the broccoli salad. With the service. Could not have been better. Our server was Zoe. She said it was her first day serving. You could not tell she did such a good job recommending, checking in and even bringing fresh water that was not asked. Even beyond Zoe the Manager came over and asked how our food was. Burger was over cooked and dry.The burger bun was so dry it crumbled. They didn't have menu items available. Overall very disappointing.

We ordered two cocktails which both came very light on alcohol. When asking for a little more so that we could enjoy our drinks to our taste we were told that we already had 2 oz and that was plenty. I believe they didn't serve us any at all. Then our pizza came out covered in both honey and cheese to the point that the honey was covering the plate as well.
