This is my favorite coffee place in the area. I've lived in Pompano for over 2 decades and am always checking out all the coffee places in the community. My friend introduced me to Modern Rose, and after she did, I became obsessed and started getting all my other friends hooked on it also!! Deerfield beach is my backyard so every Saturday after the beach, me and my friends go to Modern Rose for breakfast. The decor is like a vintage/antique vibe, with only a few tables on the front and couches and tables in the back. The place always fills up quick so the earlier you get there the better! There are several healthy options, lots of different kinds of omelets and sandwiches, and everything on the menu is delicious! The drip/americano coffee is delicious and has free refills so if you're not in the mood for a latte or a fancy drink, get the American coffee, you'll not be disappointed!

I still love this restaurant. This last time I got the keto breakfast (Two eggs with kale & tomato, fresh mozz, tomato, 1/2 avocado, prosciutto, salmon). Absolutely delicious! I always get the Chaga-ccino to drink (aka the Millennial Mocha- Wild-foraged chaga mushroom is blended with vanilla, monk fruit, cinnamon, cacao, espresso & almond mylk- vegan, GF, keto, delicious). Highly recommend both and I'm sure I'll get it again soon!

After hearing from a friend, I made a reservation for five of us and met the ladies for breakfast at this local cafe Saturday morning. When we arrived we were seated at a nice table in the back room. The first thing they explained on the phone and upon arrival there is no table service. We were all on with this. The front room is very small and everyone lines up at the counter to order so it is very crowded. The front and back room tables were all full. I am very happy they took our reservation and held our table in the back room . Both room were decorated so pretty. Old fashion and modern combined with lots of hearts and flowers..a lovely tea room atmosphere. We looked over the menu which was filled with a wonderful variety of breakfast and lunch items all on the healthy side along with a huge coffee and tea selection. They even had a page filled with Boba teas. I chose the Almond Joy coffee and a spicy Avocado toast. Both were so good. One of the ladies had a lavender coffee sprinkled with lavender petals. We all agreed we would return as this little gem is in our backyard and we are lucky to have found it. The parking was easy and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and taste. We will also venture out to the Ft Lauderdale location!

My cousin from Orlando came to south Florida and I wanted to take her to a nice brunch spot. We found The Modern Rose on Instagram. There are three locations. This is the Deerfield Beach location. We came on a Sunday around 11:30 am. Upon arrival, you sit yourself to any available table. The service is friendly and very attentive. Feel free to ask other guest if you can sit next to the them at the tables. The room has beautiful decor. The ambiance is very comforting, calm, and laid back. It was busy but calm at the same time if that makes sense. Lol I also got the ice tea with lavender. Delicious! You much stop by! I learned that on the weekend it's first come first serve. For the weekend you can reserve a table but 24 hours in advance. On the week day you can reserve day of.

This is such a cute little hole in the wall that blew me away. Perfect spot for a quick bite if you're hanging out with friends, grab a great drink, or just want to do some studying. I had the Some Like It Spicy, which is a nice twist to your typical avocado toast. Perfect savory dish and very filling too. The Strawberry Match Boba is also a must try if you're a matcha fan. The staff is so kind and will give great recommendations. Love to see them expanding to other parts of Broward!

We had a book club outing to the modern rose... and a nearby romance bookstore. First time I had heard of this place: apparently super instagrammable... and with great food choices... so I was excited to check it out! So my first impression was a bit of a bewildered look: it seemed a very small hole-in-the-wall spot... and the line at the register for take out was huge! And then: I walked past the register and the line to a larger room in the back, with more of the fun eclectic decor, tables of all sizes, and a QR-code menu on the table that facilitated (somewhat) our ordering! And someone actually brings the food and drinks out to your table? Awesome!! So we figured out the large choices available- it took a while to scroll all the way back down... you can check out without registering, so that was good to know. The ordering process was a bit cumbersome, but we managed placing the order, and waited and chit chatted. It was a long wait as the place was buzzing on a Sunday! The thing is: then you have to pay attention because when an order appears, they call your name- I thought each table would have a code with order, but it doesn't so pay attention. Anyway, the ordering and delivering process needs to work better - it took a while, the orders came out individually (meaning I placed an order for 2 drinks, one sandwich and one dessert, and we got one drink, then one dessert, then another drink and finally after a long wait: the sandwich!) so be patient and have lots and lots to talk about (which we did)(but we were hungryyyy!) Food-wise: everything tasted delicious! No wonder they have such great attendance!! The variety of choices and foods I saw delivered to other tables was so good... we wanted to order more! But we were full... I had a caramel brûlée tea that was surprisingly flavorful: I always think of coffee in terms of caramel or milky beverages: well this tea was subtle in taste and delicious. My friend ordered an Arnold Palmer that she said was good too. Then i ordered a warm croissant with Brie, almonds, blueberries and honey that was delectable- perhaps I missed a bit more Brie to it- but the flavors did come thru. And my friend ordered a scone and they had run out of all the others except the raspberry one (we wanted pistachio) and also of the jelly or mascarpone- so we had to just have plain warm scone: which was very good... sad they had run out of the mascarpone. Overall, service was cordial, the staff kept apologizing for the delays in service and the missing items due to the place being so full, so they were concerned. Still we did miss out on several things we wanted to order as they were not available: and it was only noon on Sunday! The atmosphere inside was super cute: all sorts of little adornments and couches and tables of all sizes, made this a quirky and cool spot for a meeting. We did have a good time, and enjoyed our food so much... that are planning on going to the one located in Hollywood - that happens to have more food choices and is located closer to us! Woohoo! Enjoy!

PROS: Food was amazing! They definitely did not disappoint. The flavors and presentation were beautiful. I loved my iced tea and my hubby said the coffee was great. CONS: Clearly this is based on our experience and taste....BUT, with seating was horrible. We ordered and then had to standby waiting for a seat. Then we get a seat on a sinking couch with a table that was way to high to actually function as a table to enjoy a meal at. We luckily saw a couple leaving and moved to another couch/loveseat thing. This time it was a glass table with a wobbling leg. In the end, for us there was too much focus on being 'quirky' and not enough function. We would love to come back, but we now know we need to find a better seat first before ordering food so we know we will be able to enjoy the whole experience.

Went for brunch and it did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and brought out our food promptly. The drinks were very aesthetically pleasing and tasted great! The food was also delicious with the right amount of seasoning and really good sizes for the price. The inside was very cute and well decorated. I highly recommend them! Also, to note, they have plenty of seating and we were able to call ahead and make a reservation for our party of 5. I mention this because their Fort Lauderdale location has very few seating.

The Modern Rose started as a vintage tea boutique in The Cove Shopping Center in Deerfield Beach. Christine, the store's original owner, moved to Georgia and sold the business to the new owners Jimena and Emilio Dominguez who have since added coffee from local roaster Calusa Coffee and snacks like empanadas and avocado toast to the menu. This was my first time at the original Deerfield Beach location although I have visited them in Ft. Lauderdale and at the Delray Beach Market. The space was narrow, cramped, and crowded but filled with charming details and seating arrangements. The interior was decorated with little curios for Halloween. I ordered a slice of their delicious Broccoli Gouda Quiche which was served warm and an refreshing iced Almond Joy latte. After you pay at the counter they bring your order to where ever you can land a seat. The presentation of both the food and drinks is beautiful and even the silverware is exquisite. If you love an eclectic vintage vibe and are craving delicious drinks and light bites, the Modern Rose is the perfect spot to refresh.

It's such a pleasure being in this space, when one can snag a table. The beverages are exceptional here, but the menu is also thoughtful. Last time I was here, I ordered something that I did not like very much (and is no longer on the menu!), but then my friend shared half of her modern egg sandwich which was memorably delicious, so I knew I had to order this again- and it did not disappoint the second time! And this time I ordered a butterfly pea tea with coconut in it that was devine AND beautiful. This time I sat in the back room, against the wall at the glass door table. I was slightly nervous that we would break the glass, and getting over the doorframe was a tad awkward, but otherwise love this room. Our server was awesome and attentive. The ONLY thing a little off was that the cafe wi-fi was not working well if at all. However, now that I know that an Xfinity wi-fi hotspot is available here (which comcast customers can use for free with a login!), I need never worry about this again for myself, though it made co-working here pretty impossible. Hopefully this was a one-time thing :) Can't wait for The Modern Rose to return to Palm Beach County - and I vote Lake Worth this time.

Yum!! Small, but lovely space so GO EARLY and don't plan for conversations you don't want to share with everyone. I got there before 9 and there was a nice line forming when I left. CAVEAT: There is a lot of cholesterol on this table and I don't have a gallbladder anymore. I'll make different choices next time so I can finish the food on my plate. The sandwich is basically a grilled cheese, so between the that, the egg, bacon, cheese, and avocado...it was too much for my little tummy. I still highly recommend.

The Modern Rose has been on my list for so long to check out and I can't believe it's taken me this long. I came 2 days in a row. The first day I stopped by on my way home to grab a cold brew for my boyfriend but once I saw they had coconut banana bread (vegan!) I also ordered that for myself. They offered to warm it up for me too which I always appreciate. It was fantastic, definitely recommend! I also couldn't resist stealing a sip of the cold brew I brought home, which turned into me drinking probably a fourth of it. It was my favorite cold brew I've ever had! Definitely strong which I love. That's when I knew I'd had to go back the next day for a coffee of my own. I returned Sunday morning a bit past 11, and it was as busy as you'd expect a great coffee shop to be at prime hours. The customer service was still top notch even in the middle of a rush. This time I ordered a cold brew for myself, lightly sweetened with agave and a touch of creamer. I also ordered the modern panini to eat. Both were delicious and I can't wait to come back.

I honestly see why this place has amazing reviews. I went there on a Sunday morning with my friend. I think we lucked out because when we were leaving it got so packed so fast I ordered the banana chia tea latte and it did not disappoint at all. It wasn't too sweet it was honestly just right and I'm not a banana type of gal. Food: My friend got avocado toast, and it was super delicious and the tomatoes were very fresh. I got the some like it spicy avocado toast, and boy oh boy !! Sooo delicious. Imagine an elote , but make it in avocado toast form. My friend also got this banana bread with coconut infused French toast type of thing, and it was by far my favorite thing that I tasted which is absurd because everything I tasted was so good. I got the croissant with eggs and fruits and it was also pretty delicious. 10/10 for service, food, parking, decor. I will for sure be back!!!

Do you do an afternoon tea? And do you take reservations?

Hello! Thank you so much for your inquiry. We do take reservations; we kindly ask that you call into the team during operating hours to request specific times, and we’ll be happy to help! We serve tea all day, but don’t typically do a standard…

    Do you sell the cups?

Hello Karina! We do sell almost all of our cups. They range in price from $7-15 usually, depending on which. We also sell the furniture and paintings and décor! :) We can't wait to serve you. #WeRoseYou

Do they offer the whole menu until all day?

    Hi! Yes we do :)

Is there room to accommodate a party of 10?

Inside there are a few tables, its tight, you would be at different tables, but still worth the visit!

Is this a good place to study? Or read a book?

She was great Willy who I believe is another server was excellent. Anytime he ran food he would have something fresh and inventive to say. He is a great energy!
