Delicious food, very good service and a view that can't be beat! Highly recommend and will stop there again next time I am in town

Banana and blueberry bread pudding
Melissa S.

Went for brunch on Sunday. It was an absolute perfect day. The view and the music were great and our server was lovely. My significant other ordered the brunch burger and I ordered the fish and chips. They were delicious and far too much food so we boxed up the leftovers and got roped into the banana and blueberry bread pudding. Oh. My. God. Beyond scrumptious! We didn't finish that either but I will say I've had some yummy leftovers the last few days. We will be back.

Seafood Paella
Doris K.

We arrived at 11:30am when the restaurant opened. We sat in the outside covered area. Spectacular view. Our waitress Alecia made an excellent recommendation for the Seafood Paella, it was excellent, plenty of shrimp, mussels, squid and clams. My husband had the Fish and chips and said delicious and a large serving size. I ordered bread and was disappointed because it was not warmed up.

Sesame Seared Tuna Salad

Gotta love this location. Outdoor seating viewing the beach and listening to the band. That alone makes this a great spot. Add the attentive service and the fresh large portions of seafood and this is winning combo. You must try the scallop appetizer as well as the ceviche. Both are excellent. Drinks are well made and they have an excellent happy hour.

Branzino
Subhi K.

I tried their Bahamian seafood chowder and banzinio fresh caught fish. It was delicious. Service is friendly. It gets busy after 6pm. It has outdoor and indoor seating. You get ocean view and there was live music today. When I came restaurant parking was full and parked at paid parking and tbh it is paid everywhere in Deerfield.

Blackened Mahi Bowl
Oliver L.

This is the best spot on Deerfield Beach. The lobster flatbread is the tastiest thing on the sand. The blackened mahi bowl is the perfect fish bowl out of the sea. However, the key lime pie isn't the best but it was tasty enough. The highlight of the meal is the lobster flatbread... it's the tastiest flatbread you'll ever put in your mouth! The outside seating overlooking the beautiful Deerfield Beach is breathtaking. The service is always efficient and quick. I love this place. I'll definitely be back.

Food is adequate, nothing amazing, but certainly not terrible either. Service also fine. But the truth is, you are coming here for the view and experience. Sit outside on the patio, look at the beach and the volleyball players. On a nice day, there isn't a better way to enjoy a meal.

Dynamite Scallops

Great birthday dinner with the family. Our server (Sauda?- the check said Sarah A, but she pronounced it sounding the way I spelled it) was fantastic. Kind, warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, quick and attentive. I had been here once before and it wasnt great but I dont like to leave negative reviews. This time was much better. Sat outside on the patio and it was a beautiful night. Dynamite Scallops are a must-have. I got the whole fried Snapper and it was incredible. If you know how to cut and eat a whole fish you should get this dish. The accompaniments were perfectly matched. Our server even brought a birthday dessert which I was honestly not expecting at all. It was a great night out. See you again someday. Thank you!

Was there Friday around 5. Live band was unbelievable. Great mix of 70-80s . Service was Excellent. Our server Chloe was spot on. There when we needed something . Appetizer Volcano scallops were bursting with flavor . Lobster shrimp salad was awesome. Enough to split .

Egg and bacon breakfast

You can't beat the location. The view is fantastic. We went for brunch. The egg dishes are good and included a glass of champagne or a mimosa. The fish sandwiches - salmon or Mahi- are always popular. The French fries are excellent. Our server was friendly.

Hard to beat eating beachside and the decor is fun. We enjoyed the ceviche, pina coladas and I had the whole red snapper. Everything was very good and the seafood was fresh. Be aware that it is a sit down leisure vibe. Service is not fast but I think that is intentional. Also if you sit outside the birds are looking to hang out too hoping for scraps but it's a small trade off for the ocean breeze.

We've been to JB's on the Beach before. Last night, Even on the second try, the espresso martini still tasted more like chilled vodka with only a slight coffee flavor. The seafood paella had good flavor, but some of the shellfish clearly hadn't been cleaned properly, leaving sand/grit in a few bites. We mentioned it to our server , but there really wasn't much response. Best thing we had was the mahi sandwich it was fresh, delicious, topped with arugula, and they happily swapped the fries for asparagus. You can not beat the beautiful beachfront atmosphere always a nice evening.

Jenn did a fantastic job. Our service was great. I had the fresh catch Blackened Branzino perfect seasoned. The Tuna Poke Salads were excellent with plenty of fresh tuna. The cocktails were well done and a stunning view of an ocean sunset. Definitely will be returning

Ask the Community - JB's on the Beach

Do they take reservations?

Yes

Is there a children's menu?

yes there is

Does JB's have afternoon happy hour specials?

4-7 pm happy hour specials at bar and high top tables . Discounted foods and drinks. Valet parking is $7

Does JB's still offer the Fresh Catch on the dinner menu? I see it on the lunch menu, and we usually love coming here for a simple dinner/basic grilled fish at dinner time.

Yes

Is smoking allowed on the outside patio?

As far as I know "no" but I'm sure during later hours if you're sitting at bar area possibly but if you're out on the patio all you have to do is step outside of patio area two feet away have your smoke

Does JB's allow dogs?

Service dogs yes. Most likely allow them outside, but I would call and ask.

Are dogs allowed for outside seating?

No, dogs aren't allowed even in the outside sitting

Do they offer a bottomless mimosa deal during the brunch?

They do not :( Definitely the only downside of brunch there.

How gluten free friendly is this place? The menu on their website does not indicate which dishes are GF.

There are a few things that explicitly say GF by the side of the menu. In addition, Dee, the manager and the whole staff will completely cater a meal to become GF... often times it's only one ingredient that needs to be substituted or removed... I…

Do they serve Mimosas?

Yes, The best! Make sure you sit by the beach area outside.. Brunch is the best on sundays!

How is the parking?

They have valet parking for $5 but I swear on the weekend I saw it for $10, but you have to eat there. Otherwise all the parking around it is horrifically expensive.. There's a garage across the street and one half a block away.

Is the weekend lunch menu only on Saturday and Sunday, or does Friday count?

Sat and Sunday only

I was searching Yelp for seafood, and this came up as highly rated. One of the people in our party of 5 adults and a toddler is not a huge fan of seafood, so having Italian options was great. He ordered the special eggplant parmigiana and said it was delicious. The sauce was very good and he cleaned his plate. . Everyone also enjoyed their salads with the ginger dressing. A few even added some balsamic and said the combo was delicious. The wahoo bites we had as an appetizer was crispy and flaky and lovely. Our 16 month old guest enjoyed them as well. I ordered the sesame crusted ahi tuna and Bahamian peas and rice side. The tuna was perfectly cooked and the Bahamian peas and rice were amazing!!! The spicy flavor and beautifully textured rice were the perfect side with the tuna! Others ordered the Linguine Alla Vongole - fresh clams in the shell with garlic scampi sauce and Crazy Bob's Shrimp and Calamari Fra Diavolo with angel hair pasta. There was a generous amount of clams, shrimp and calamari in the respective dishes enjoyed with the wonderful pastas. The generous amount of pasta was taken home. Our sever Agnes was a delight! Very kind and an absolute pleasure! While we were too full and content to have desserts those who live in town said they will need to come back and leave room for the key lime pie. The dining area was decorated with wonderful art and nautical treasures. A few tables exist for outdoor dining. Mostly for two or four diners. Highly recommend Chef Dee's restaurant!

We entered and met Sandy, the nicest yet down to earth hostess. She greeted us and walked us to tables toward the back which would accompany 3 people. This was away from the Steel Drums which was the main reason we were visiting the establishment. I mentioned I had called previously to make sure the steel drums were definitely playing tonight and we really wanted to be seated closer to watch and hear the entertainment. All the seats close to where he was were 2 top tables or the bar but my son is 12- so that was a "no." She then said we could sit at 2 tables but we couldn't move the chairs. We said that was GREAT as it was close to the music and we didn't mind sitting in a "line" as that's kinda like sitting at the bar. We were very pleased and had the nicest server who was very attentive and helpful. I think the manager was a little confused as to why Sandy sat our family like that but what she did was provide excellent customer service and helped our family have a peaceful relaxing evening. And, for that - Sandy is the best and say "Hi" to her next time you go there. She will do her best to assist you. We will be back to the Nauti-Dawg. The food was really good and very filling. Customer service was outstanding. And, the atmosphere is very relaxing. 5 stars from our family!

From the moment we walked in and were handed a glass of prosecco, it was clear this would be something different. There was an intentionality to everything--the pacing, the ambiance, the way each course was introduced. It didn't feel transactional. It felt ceremonial. Each of the six courses represented a different European destination (Portugal, Spain, France, Italy and Greece), and what made it extraordinary wasn't just the quality of the food--which was exceptional--but the way the environment transformed alongside it. Lighting, visuals, sound, and narration worked together in a way that made every dish feel contextual and meaningful, rather than simply plated. Every part of this immersive experience contained instruments working in harmony to amplify the meaning of each course. The courses were beautifully composed and balanced. Nothing felt excessive or forced. Each plate served a purpose in the broader narrative, and each wine or cocktail pairing elevated the dish rather than competing with it. What stood out most, though, was how present it made you feel. In a world where most dinners blur together, this one didn't. Time slowed down. You became immersed. Fully engaged. The service was impeccable--attentive, warm, and deeply knowledgeable without ever feeling rehearsed or overbearing. You felt guided, not served. Tommy (the owner/proprietor) and his staff were unquestionably five-stars. By the end, you remembered how it felt to be transported somewhere else without ever boarding a plane. It's worth every moment.

We also ordered the Chicken (Pollo) Chaufa and the Seafood Chaufa. Both dishes came in small portions, and the seafood was only placed on top of the rice. Sadly, they lacked the distinctive Chaufa flavor and tasted a bit bland. The Lomo Saltado beef was tender but similarly lacked seasoning, and the Ají Amarillo was just okay. On a positive note, the service was excellent, and the ambiance felt warm and inviting. It seems the food might have been adjusted to cater to a more traditional or less adventurous palate.
