It's been quite some since I've been to JBs but decided to make a reservation for Mother's Day. We were a party of 5. Two people ordered Janet's lobster and shrimp salad, two ordered the special (stuffed lobster) and one other ordered the salmon dish. Every one of us enjoyed our meals. JB's on the Beach was excellent! I had the blackened mahi bowl and it was SO good -- definitely something I'd recommend if you go. The atmosphere was really nice too, with both indoor and outdoor seating available. Outside, there was what looked like a stage for live music, which gave the place a fun beach vibe. We walked there from the beach, so I can't personally speak on parking, but I'd assume it's similar to other spots in the area with mostly paid parking nearby. We've been to JB's on the Beach before. Last night, Even on the second try, the espresso martini still tasted more like chilled vodka with only a slight coffee flavor. The seafood paella had good flavor, but some of the shellfish clearly hadn't been cleaned properly, leaving sand/grit in a few bites. We mentioned it to our server , but there really wasn't much response. Best thing we had was the mahi sandwich it was fresh, delicious, topped with arugula, and they happily swapped the fries for asparagus. 4/23/26- wow great location , right on the beach. Ocean views. Valet parking only $7:00. I've had most of the menu over the years. Today I ordered the Asian salmon bowl .Big salad nice size salmon. Went for brunch on Sunday. It was an absolute perfect day. The view and the music were great and our server was lovely. My significant other ordered the brunch burger and I ordered the fish and chips. They were delicious and far too much food so we boxed up the leftovers and got roped into the banana and blueberry bread pudding. Oh. My. God. Beyond scrumptious! Gotta love this location. Outdoor seating viewing the beach and listening to the band. That alone makes this a great spot. Add the attentive service and the fresh large portions of seafood and this is winning combo. You must try the scallop appetizer as well as the ceviche. Both are excellent. This is the best spot on Deerfield Beach. The lobster flatbread is the tastiest thing on the sand. The blackened mahi bowl is the perfect fish bowl out of the sea. However, the key lime pie isn't the best but it was tasty enough. The highlight of the meal is the lobster flatbread... it's the tastiest flatbread you'll ever put in your mouth! Something is off with the preparation of food, did they lose their chef? Filet minogn came and seriously it couldn't have been more than 1/2". Pathetic. The entire back of the restaurant is right on the shore, so you have an amazing view. I had the ribs. Came here last night with my cousins for dinner and it was lovely. The food was delicious and the company was even better. I had the Janet shrimp and lobster salad with mango dressing it was to die for... Everybody ooh, and ahh because there was so much shrimp on it... My cousin had seafood paella... It looked very good, but if I must critique, it was a very small portion... And my other cousin had soup, but then he had fish and chips which he said was delicious but I never got a picture of it... Great locations and fun menu! We met friends from Delray and what a great spot - we sat outdoors overlooking the beach and pier. The view is awesome. They do have fans and it's covered but I was a little warm and might have been better in Air cond. we all had drinks - I had the Floridian beer and enjoyed very much. We shared two apps - the fish dip and the spinach dip - both yummy. The guys both had the teriyaki chicken and shrimp and said it was a good choice. I had the salad with shrimp and lobster and it was so big I had half left for lunch. My friend had the salmon bowl. No room for dessert. Service was ok and could have been a little more attentive since it wasn't that busy. The real winner is the beach location and you feel like you're on vacation. Great choice. read more

We went to JB's on the Beach for brunch today and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. We sat outdoors and enjoyed a perfect ocean view. We started with the spinach dip appetizer, which was creamy, flavorful, and great for sharing. For drinks, we had mimosas, a classic mojito, a Strawberry Tsunami, and a virgin piña colada. For food, we ordered the Italian Scramble, Blueberry Cheesecake French Toast, and the Beachside Breakfast. Everything was hot, fresh, and full of flavor. We were staying at a hotel in Boca and decided to make a dinner reservation at this place on the beach in Deerfield Beach. It was a great decision. The ambiance outside was fantastic overlooking the beach. The menu offers several appetizers, salads and entrees. I opted for the coconut shrimp. It also came with rice and cole slaw. The shrimp were delicious and accompanied by an orange dipping sauce. My husband had the Cuban snapper. It came with rice and beans, as well as delicious plantains. A friend of mine and I stopped in for dinner. It was fairly busy outside, so we went inside to the bar. Ashley was our bartender and she was fantastic, though mia a few times. She explained to us that she had tables outside and that was why she was gone for short spurts. Weird for her to have to go outside for tables, but understandable for her being gone. Unfortunately, the restaurant is not shellfish allergy friendly so the only thing I was able to try was the spinach and artichoke dip. Ashley gave me saltines to dip into the dip since the chips were fried in the same fryer as shrimp. The dip was great. No complaints about the food, just wish I could have tried more. Let me start by saying, the food was amazing and so is the view of the beach. Thats why me and my friend picked this spot to meet and it did not disappoint on those two points. Now the service...the service was super disappointing. My friend just had a baby 8 months ago and we hadn't had a chance to catch up. So we decided JB's was a good place for us to meet. From the moment we sat down we felt rushed. Our server disappeared and then another server was pushing the check on us. Server did not ask if we wanted desert or anything. We werent there for 3 hours, we were not disruptive, but we felt pushed out. Baby wasnt causing a disturbance, in fact she slept for a good 20 minutes. There were empty tables near us so I don't understand the rush. This is not conducive with a good experience. Im sure this was a 1 off... or I hope it is. I suggest making a reservation. This place gets busy. The place is casual. The valet is $7. The restaurant is pretty big inside. The staff was great. They get things ready fast for you. The outdoor sitting area is huge. I liked it because I got to watch the people playing volleyball outside. They had a musician playing. I enjoyed it. The talking outside was a little loud for me. The food was delish. I liked that sweet butter the bread had. We couldn't get enough. They should sell it. We started or i started with the scallops. They tasted great. I then had the yellow tail and loved it. I was happy with dinner. The service was good. Our waitress checked on us. She gave us good recommendations. I sat inside that small room which wasn't my preference but it was good. Top service, great food and drinks all night. Perfect night! The band was beautiful playing all the hits. Legendary! It's Mother's Day weekend and I thought it would be nice to have dinner at JB's since it's on the beach. This was our first time here. I called ahead to find out the best time to come to be able to sit outside. She advised us to just come without a reservation and take our chances because it rarely takes longer than 30 minutes to sit. We got there about 6:30 and we got lucky to sit inside/outside under the awning on the patio. It was a fair location because we could enjoy the salt air and view the volleyball game on the beach. There is also a $7 valet cost to park - really no choice- There are steps going into restaurant and again down to the seating, however there are handicap accessible modifications throughout. They take that seriously. Alicia was our waitress. She was excellent-very caring, knowledgeable and accessible. She made good recommendations and we were happy with the choices. There is no happy hour on the weekends but we did start with drinks. I had their specialty Mom-Mosa which was delicious and refreshing. Paul had a Bloody Mary which he also enjoyed. We chose the DYNAMITE SCALLOPS 19 BAY SCALLOPS ON THE HALF SHELL BAKED WITH OUR SIGNATURE ASIAN STYLE CRAB CRUST, FINISHED WITH CILANTRO-INFUSED OIL & SCALLIONS creatively made in shells for our appetizer. It was different and delicious. Then Paul had VOLCANO CRAB CAKE 38 OVEN ROASTED WITH DYNAMITE CRAB TOPPING, OVER JASMINE RICE & WAKAME SALAD, FINISHED WITH SRIRACHA AIOLI, AVOCADO SALSA, SWEETY DROP PEPPERS, & CRISPY WONTONS. It was one jumbo crab cake. He enjoyed every last bite. I had their POKE TUNA SALAD 26 AHI TUNA TOSSED WITH POKE MARINADE OVER MIXED GREENS, EDAMAME, CARROTS, WATERMELON, CUCUMBERS, CRUNCHY VEGETABLES, & SESAME BASIL VINAIGRETTE, FINISHED WITH MICRO BASIL which I loved. Extra large drink menu with some cool options, it's not often you see Greek wine on a menu. Loved the wine selection, loved even more the spicy pineapple marg.
