Oh yeah! This is…read morethe good stuff! Was going camping at the beach a few weeks ago and didn't want to smoke the ribs in the cold/wet. I had been hearing about Red Eye locally and thought I would give them a try. I ordered in advance - I had heard they sell out fast if you don't put in an advance order. Pick up took longer than seemed reasonable for an advance to go order, but zero complaints about the quality of the food! I got two racks of pork ribs and they were spectacular. The other stuff e saw them putting out looked really good too. I normally smoke my own meats, but it is great to have someone local that does such a good job. Now I have a place I can go to when I don't have time to do it myself. Everyone who tried them loved them- including a friend who was a chef in New Orleans. I think Red Eye are the best thing going around here for real BBQ (by a good measure). If you haven't tried them yet, get over there! You are in for a real treat!

There was already quite a line by the time I came in around 12:40 and was eager to try everything after reading the amazing reviews. I decided to order all the cuts except for short rib (they were sold out) and the chicken. As I am placing my order, I see some miscommunication between the chef (Bob I believe) and the person who took my order, something about not following the inventory count of cuts available, potentially leading to over-orders. I prayed there would still be enough for what I ordered and stayed optimistic. About 10 minutes after ordering, I was told that the beef cheeks were sold out. I was okay with that as they refunded me immediately. 15 minutes later and I'm told that the spareribs are also sold out. At this point the only things available were the pork belly and jalapeno cheddar sausage. I still wanted to try the two that were still available, but was dissapointed in having to experience this. As for the food itself, to say the least it was very good. The pork belly was perfectly salted and simply melted in my mouth. The sausage was juicy, had a great snap to it, and had a perfect ratio of cheese to sausage. The jalapeno is subtle and doesn't punch you with spice, but the subtle hint of spice with each bite was addicting. The stand out for me would be their pickles. Korean pear, fresno chili, cucumber, and red onions made up the pickle mix. I loved the sweet n sour of the pear and couldn't stop eating it. The cornbread was also nice and fluffy. Would I come back to try this? 100%. Just from the pork belly and sausage, I can't wait to try the short rib/cheek/spareribs. I would recommend everyone who wants to try Red Eye to either PRE-ORDER or come early before they open, as I came ~40 minutes after opening and most of the meats were sold out. I wish there was a clearer tracking system of how many cuts were left, as placing an order only to be told AFTER ordering that stuff was already sold out is extremely frustrating. Maybe having 1 more person would also help as well, as I waited close to 30 minutes for my order. I will update this review after another attempt, as this could have simply been an off day.

This was during their pop-up setup at Lagunitas Brewery, so I understood it wouldn't be a full restaurant experience, but the pricing still felt high for what appeared to be mostly wholesale/frozen products. The food honestly felt more like elevated Costco/Sysco-style concession food than chef-driven Cajun cooking. The fries were clearly Kirkland frozen fries, the kettle chips looked straight out of a Costco bag, and the burger patties also seemed pre-made/frozen. I was honestly fine with the kettle chips, but once you start noticing almost everything feels wholesale while paying "celebrity chef" pricing, it changes the experience. At $15-16 per item plus tip prompts at checkout, I expected more fresh or house-made elements. Food trucks and pop-ups around the Bay Area put in serious work making things from scratch, smoking meats, hand-cutting fries, or using fresh patties at similar prices. This felt more like paying for branding than craftsmanship. The loaded fries and sauces were decent, and the concept definitely has potential, but the pricing just doesn't match what's actually being served right now. I genuinely hope Chef Bradley focuses more on fresh ingredients and execution moving forward, because food trucks that actually put that level of work in deserve these kinds of prices more than frozen wholesale products do.

The food was definitely fresh and the quality was great, it may just be a personal preference but I felt a lot of the food was lacking in flavor. The risotto was okay but my fiancé did like his fish. Dessert was no good unfortunately, not a fan, not much sweetness going on and the textures were not to our liking. The oysters were the highlight of the night, possibly the best oysters I've had! They tasted amazing and paired well with my drink. Dinner would have been more enjoyable if it wasn't so crazy loud that you basically had to yell to hear each other or the server. Seating was also tight with so many people waiting to be seated and servers handling orders. It would've been a better experience if the other employees weren't shoving you to get by people blocking the way or if other customers weren't smacking your head with their bags from walking behind your chair. Service was meh...our server seemed aggravated but I just chalked it up to being a busy night.

I got a window seat for some typical solo tracker people watching activity. I went with the highly recommended items. Beet salad, seafood pasta, 2 glasses of brut rose. Beet salad was great! Love the flavor combination and also the plating. Super pretty. The seafood pasta was great. Pasta got a good bite to it and seafood was fresh. I had a nice chat with Heidi. She is the mother of the head chef. She is one proud mama and super fun to chat with. She recommended the bread pudding and I got it. Lovely. It is a little on the dense side but the lemon cut through the heaviness and make it balanced. I really enjoyed it here. Overall, I enjoyed ukiah in general. Good food scene (better than Mendocino) and just nicer people all around. Would like to come back again.

From the very beginning, communicating with Earl was warm, easy, and genuinely lovely. We started with a BBQ tasting months in advance and even brought along our pickiest food-critic friends to try the menu--it was a hit and sealed the deal for us. We served tri-tip, chicken, ribs, green salad, mac and cheese, and meatless sliders for our vegetarian guests, and everything was delicious. The BBQ sauce was perfectly balanced--sweet and tangy with just the right amount of kick. More than just great food, the meal and Earl himself made the experience feel comforting and homey, the kind of meal that naturally brings people together--like sitting down for a big Sunday family dinner. On the day of the event, Earl and his team arrived on time and had everything set up and looking beautiful. Earl was incredibly kind and personable, and once guests started eating, he walked around offering seconds and chatting with everyone. Not only was the food a standout, but Earl himself was too. Highly Recommend!

The pulled pork had this smoky flavor that wasn't dry or hard, it was fresh! The coleslaw was soooo good! I was skeptical about dirty fries, but glad I tried it, this tasted like a million bucks in your mouth! They are family owned, and family operated! Meaning you will see Earl with his wife, kids, and parents cooking up and providing you great service! I will definitely consider them for catering a family event in the future.
