I recently moved into the area and I've been desperately searching for a new nail salon. I had high hopes for this place because of all the great reviews, but unfortunately they fell short -- and it's a little bit my fault too. Making an appt was a breeze. You get sent a link to submit payment/hold your appt. The process was easy, but the platform forces you to sign up for an account which I didn't love because that only means more spam emails and another company having my info. Their space is really big and seemed clean. The front desk girl was nice, but she looked like she just literally rolled out of bed with her sweatpants and a zipped up sweater. It made me chuckle a little. Overall my appt was okay. I had to remove my gels and I guess their only technique in doing so is by using the drill. Here's where it was my fault -- I should have told her my nails were too thin for the drill. I've been getting gels consistently for 7 years and the only way to have them removed without damaging my nails is manually with acetone. Totally my mistake for not speaking up and I'm paying for it now because my nail bed is so sensitive to the touch and 2 nails are breaking and peeling from the side. I can't even peel the plastic seal off a container because the pressure hurts my nail beds too much. I've been told that using the drill to remove gels is the lazy way to do it, so if this doesn't bother you or it won't affect your nail bed, you should be fine. I also noticed that they use a drill (dry - no soaking your hands in water to help make the skin softer and easier to remove) to cut my cuticle and around my nail. This was fine in the moment, but the next day, there was a tiny cut on my cuticle from drilling too high so it was swollen and sore for about 2 days. Finally... no massage. That bummed me out the most! In total, I paid $55+ tip for gel removal, bottom coat of clear gel polish, chrome powder "design," no clear gel top coat (I always thought gels needed a top coat?) and no massage. My nails do look pretty, but it was definitely too expensive for what it was. Lastly, because you submit payment online, my credit card was on file upon checking out. This was a little unsettling because I don't remember selecting an option to save my card payment, but apparently it did because as soon as I got in the car, I logged onto the account and had to manually remove my card info. I'm glad I tried it, but I think this place seems to be best for full sets or gel x for the price. read more

I was looking for a new nail place and decided to try this place because it's close to home. They had a great check in deal on yelp for a 25 dollar gel manicure. The staff was friendly enough and didn't really talk to me, but I was tired so it was fine. Came here specifically for the yelp check in deal for gel nails. When I first came in I noticed how large the place is. There's ample space for manicures, pedicures, and haircuts. I felt the vibe was a little off. It didn't seem like the friendliest spot. But, after sitting down with Nancy I wasn't disappointed. Come for Nancy!!! She's very friendly and she's so kind. She really knows what she's doing when it comes to nail care and design. You can tell her the idea of what you'd like and she'll advise what she thinks and make it better than you would have expected. Finally found my go to nail salon after years of searching in Los Angeles. Went to the Nail Bar because I was looking for a salon that did Dazzle Dry, and they came up in the search results. While I ended up getting a regular gel manicure and pedicure (only a few techs do Dazzle Dry, and I of course didn't plan ahead when I decided to get my nails done on a weekend), I absolutely LOVED the service. Not only did Nail Bar get me in on a Sunday with less than 12 hours notice (staying late in the process to accommodate me!), but the two women who did my nails were fantastic. The tools used were fantastic (small scissors instead of clippers for cuticles!), and the quality of the manicure and pedicure was phenomenal. I always have a good experience here. So far Arpine, Dianne, Erica, (and one nameless pretty girl who speaks Russian) have always done a great job. You know what else I like about this place? It's big, in Armenian they say "srtabac" lol like it's just open, and it doesn't feel like a small stuffy place that smells like a nail salon. Instead of an apology, the owner is accusing me of not actually being serviced. While in private messages, acknowledging my recent visit. She mentioned that they sterilize tools for pedicures. That may be protocol but in my situation this did not happen. I'm a beauty professional myself and understand the importance of cleanliness. It's apart of the job. My cuticles were sore after leaving. I hoped it would resolve on its own as they healed. Instead over time it developed an infection. After trying to treat at home I finally had to go to the doctor. My girlfriend and I arrived for our appointment and everyone was super friendly! They gave us time to pick our colors, and when I presented my choice to Iren, she suggested doing a gradient of orange tones - which turned out fabulous!! My girlfriend was with Anna, and they were just chatting up like old pals. Absolutely excellent is the best description I can provide. The staff is extremely kind and very accommodating. The salon itself is very large, you never feel like your crowded in a tiny space as with so many other salons. They really do an excellent job. I am picky and when I say this I really do mean it as so many other places are just average. The Nail Bar is much better than average and I should also add that the owner personally walks around, checks in and "wants" to make sure you are happy. Second time coming and still a great place for men to get manicures. Not many men pamper their hands, and for the most part I don't either so once every two weeks or so I get lotion on my hands and forearms. Fantastic service, and atmosphere. More music on the overhead. Lol. read more

I am happy to report that the most recent review before mine for the Nail Bar is not wrong. :) (tl;dr - skip to the last sentence ;-) ) Firstly, even though I wasn't able to get a hold of them on their phone line, their online booking engine works perfectly and I was lucky enough to get a "Men's Pedicure" appt. The funny thing, though, is I did not see a "Men's Manicure" on the list so I added that I would be asking about one when I went in for my appt. A few mins later, I got a call from someone at the Nail Bar saying they do offer one and if I came in earlier, both could be done. Fortunately, I was able to go earlier (I even live only a few blocks away from the location) and I only had a few mins wait, but the woman at the check-in desk offered me a drink (I just went with water) while I waited. So, I will just say that I've had some issues with the last couple of mani/pedicure experiences (including one I wrote a review about) and so of course I went in to this one kind of nervous. However, 2020 saw me acquire quite a few hangnails clipping my own nails, so I thought I'd give in and try it again. Robin was awesome. Even with us wearing masks I managed to get across that my fingers and toes were super sensitive and she managed with no problem. I was finally able to relax during the pedicure (which I had first) and by the time we switched to a different station to do the manicure, I had finally taken a few deep breaths of relaxation (which I had to explain because when I'm nervous I usually "forget to breathe" :D ). Overall the experience from booking to waiting to pedicure to manicure were quite relaxing and while my dry skin did result in a couple irksome moments for my fingers, I will definitely be able to go back and see Robin, at least. :) Thanks to Robin and whomever helped me at the front desk for making my foray as trouble-free and relaxed as possible! read more

This is my 3rd time at The Nail Bar and always have a good experience. The first 2 visits I was happy but not impressed. However this last one was exceptionally great, I got Russian w/gel mani and Joie did an amazing job. She made sure everything was done properly and carefully, fix the mishaps whenever needed. She left no sharp edges and sealed them carefully. I loved the way she cleaned and did my cuticles She was very meticulous at her job, I am sure this last mani will last longer than the previous. I was looking for a place that was easy to walk to. I was pleasantly surprised to walk into this nail salon buzzing with business. Fabulous welcoming space. Plenty of seating for waiting and technician stations. At least 11 ladies were working today which is good getting a time you need. The staff is friendly and easy to talk to. Plenty of service options. Kara was super gentle for my first visit pedicure. Sylvia was wonderful for my manicure. If you are booking multiple services, it's probably best to call and make sure you have the correct time length for your services. I paid $90 for a higher end pedicure and regular manicure plus tip. About average cost in my book. Booking online is very easy too. Decent parking lot. read more

Unsatisfied with the service, I had gone in about a week ago to get my toes done and about a week later the Gel X had came off from my big toes completely popped which was very upsetting and I had to take both pieces in to show them what had happened . I have never had this happen to me before. I then reached out to the salon they said I could come in and they would fix it for free. I go and get my gel polish fixed and when I walked out I see the color of the gel a lot lighter out in person compared to the color I had previously. Both nail techs were annoyed that I had asked for gel x and asked me multiple times if I was sure if I wanted this service done after I repeatedly mentioned to them I did.
