LIH is a small airport. There are very few food and drink options, but Stinger Ray's is a bar located in the middle of the airport where you can get a drink and some food while you wait for your flight. It might be the only bar/ sit down place in the airport. There was a bit of a wait when I went. Most people lined up outside and waited to be seated. Some customers just walked in and sat themselves. I think it's probably nicer to wait for the staff to direct you, but that might just be me. The menu is pretty limited, and they omit some of the prices which is a little irritating. I ended up ordering a mai tai and it was surprisingly good. The burger was also surprisingly good. It also came with fries. Prices are high, but expected. I was going to order the chicken katsu, but on the menu it just says "chicken katsu with dipping sauce"; no mention of rice. I asked if it comes with rice and the bartender said no. She said I could get it with fries, but that's weird. Seems kinda weird not to give rice if the take out place that provides the food offers rice if you purchase it over there. The bartender was really nice even though she looked super busy. It looked like there was just a bartender and a waiter for like 30 people. I'm surprised at how smoothly things ran and how great the service was considering every seat was filled the entire time I was there.

When we sat down though the hostess was not quite the nicest, but still did her job (even if it took a while). When bringing out the food, almost the whole tables were warm, even if it was a $90 steak. I ordered the Duke's Cheeseburger and it was enjoyable. The manager was super nice, and after talking about this with him, he decided to help us out! The ambiance of the place was amazing, and loved the statues and mood the entire time.

We did the picture in front of the huge surfboard to start. We were seated with a view of the bay. Waitstaff was very nice. Keep in mind the front desk is on the opposite side of the restaurant as the bay. We started with ahi sashimi which has become standard at all the restaurants we eat at in Hawaii. LOL. My wife ordered the ahi tuna tacos. I ordered the coconut ginger braised seafood. It has multiple types of fresh fish of the day with lobster. The sauce is just perfect. Filling and flavorful. In the end they gave the hula pie for free for our anniversary. So kind! The twisted version was a mango sorbet. We missed the twisted version with the cookie dough. We ordered the original. Damn it was good. How can you go wrong with hot fudge and ice cream!

Unless FIFA introduces a salary cap for Brie consumption, I'll be back hopefully before the next tournament. One clutch tip before you try your own championship run: reserve a table. This place stays packed harder than a World Cup final because it sits in the middle of a gorgeous Lihue plantation where you can ride trains, sample rum, and wander around pretending you're the captain of your own national squad. If your afternoon turns into a highlight reel after a couple rum tastings, sub in your phone and lock down that reservation before you're left watching from the sidelines. The Macadamia Nut Crusted Brie and grape salad deserves its own Golden Boot. The warm, crispy bread delivers perfect assists while the sweet grapes and creamy cheese play tiki-taka so beautifully they'd make defenders dizzy. Then comes the creamy portabella mushroom pasta, which doesn't need chicken, shrimp, or any superstar signing--it carries the entire squad by itself and wins the game in extra time. The staff treats every guest like they just scored the winning penalty, and if you really want the championship experience, request the patio garden. Dining out there feels less like lunch and more like lifting the World Cup trophy in paradise... minus the confetti, plus way better food. Oh BTW there bar and cocktails are to die for!!

I ordered the Teriyaki Burger with fries and a Lava Flow, and both really hit the spot. The burger had a great sweet-and-savory balance from the teriyaki glaze, pineapple, slaw, and shoyu mayo. It was messy in the best way, with plenty of flavor, and the fries were a solid side. The Lava Flow was also a highlight: tropical, creamy, fruity, and very photogenic. It felt like the perfect vacation drink. Overall, Tiki Iniki is a good pick if you want a casual meal, fun drinks, and a lively tiki-bar vibe. I'd definitely recommend stopping in for a Lava Flow and a burger.

The worst mai tai I have ever had. My god. Ordered the "top shelf" Mai tai, and it was absolutely brutal. First, it wasn't shaken OR stirred. What does this mean? It was served one ingredient on top of the next, room temperature, and tasted like a hot mess. We actually felt sick from it. The amount of syrup this bartender used was crazy. She's either not tasting her drinks, or has just fried her taste buds doing god knows what over the years. Please, for your customer's sake, train the bartenders.

It featured fresh, high-quality big eye tuna with a nice balance of shoyu, sesame, red onion, and crispy fried shallots on top. Even packed to go in a compostable container, it held up well and made for a tasty, satisfying meal on my Southwest flight. Dana's friendly service and the solid poke made for a much better airport experience than I expected. I'd definitely stop in again.

As with most restaurants in Kauai it open air environment and a view of ocean. A great place to watch games and a lively atmosphere. Happy hour is available daily from 3-6pm. Our waitress was very accommodating as she notified us that we could order our two drink minimum to qualify for the happy hour food specials before 6pm and she would serve later. Flashback price on chicken wing of $0.25 each, max 10 per person. We ordered 20 buffalo wings and fish tacos. They have a great selection of the local Kauai Brewing Company beers, another reason we want to try this place. We started we the pale ale and the Cook IPA. Cold, tasty and refreshing. We also tried the chicken IPA and Fonz IPA. All were great! Our favorite was the Cook IPA. The chicken wings had a nice heat level and were perfect accompanied by beer. The fish grilled tacos were fantastic. This will definitely be our go to place to watch a game and just a quick bite. Looking forward to returning. Highly recommended!

The first time we spent just over $100 for a family of 5, and last night we got out of there for $88. That is a feat in this part of town! The happy hour is unbeatable. $7 drinks and 25 cent wings. Note that you have to have minimum two drinks per person, but they don't have to be alcoholic--we got a cocktail as our first and soda water as the second. The cocktails are quite large, so you can still get the $7 price if you order a soda or sparkling water as your second drink. The waitress was super helpful and let us know that last night! We went for taco Tuesday yesterday and the tacos were $1 each! They were good--not insane but great for the price and hit the spot. The service is great and the food and drinks come out quickly despite being busy. The drinks are standard fare, nothing crazy delicious, but for the price it's great. The food is all yummy. We especially love their chicken wings! Home-fried and lots of meat. All of the dipping sauces are excellent too. We haven't had a bad dish here! Truly wonderful prices, good food, and great for the whole family.
