However, my wife wanted to see if this one was the same as that one. Walked in and was greeted by 2 employees. That was pretty friendly in my eyes. Found an employee, who was available, in the section I was in. He immediately asked me if i needed help with anything. I described to him what I was looking for and he showed me 2 diffrent items and walked away. However, neither was what I was looking for 100%... so I continued to look. I found a jacket that was locked up, so I went back to him to ask him to unlock. He was placing some items on a tank and said he will be there in a minute. However, when he finished, he walked past us and continued to put stock items that were not in his hand initially when I requested assistance. I continued to watch him stock, clearly ignoring my request. I went back to him and asked if he was going to help us, he looked at me and then he radioed for someone else. When that passion came, he held his hands up saying he was busy with the items he had. So, she apologized and thanked us for our patience. She unlocked the jacket, gave it to us and walked away. I tried on the jacket (Feeling a way about how we were treated by the other employee). I decided that I wanted to try on another color. Unfortunately, the employee was the only one in the area. I went to him and told him what I needed. During this time, he watched my wife struggle to zip up the 1st jacket. He finally stated he would do it. We stood there watching him fumble with the jacket close to 5 mins. We also had to stand there while he stopped to assist another customer with a question. We were in totally disbelief. After, he confirmed the size I needed, although I said it twice to him. He gave me the jacket and watched me while I sent to the mirror to look at myself. He stayed right behind us. So, I went to another mirror. He followed us. At this point, i was annoyed because the other employee did not ready us this way. I told him that we were going to buy the jacket,. He said "Are you going to buy the jacket?". I said yes. He said "Would you like me to take it to the front?". I told him that we can take it to the front ourselves. I all for the manager immediately when I got to the cashier. I spoke with Peter (Manager). I told him about the whole ordeal. I told him that I watched and heard how he interacted with other customers who were not black. I told him that we felt discriminated against. I told him that we felt disrespected. He told us that he was not excusing anything, but he wants me to know that the employee was autistic. I told him that e have people with autism in our family, I am a social worker and educator. However, how we were treated had nothing to do with autism. I told him this was ridiculous as 1st time customers. I told him that I was going to do a review on this location. He said he would coach that employee on this interaction. He asked me what he could do. I told him nothing really. We are pissed. He gave me 70% off to be used on the next visit. I told him to apply it more because I had no intentions of coming back to this location. That employee was racist.

(Actually I think returns are done via FedEX) Store was super easy to find in this massive outdoor shopping zoo. Just follow Google maps. Walked in with my shoe box and immeadiatly processed the return. Super easy and efficient. Picked out a new pair tried them on, paid and out the door. Quickest shoe sale plus return ever. My wife was in search of a more comfortable shoe because her Nike and Under Armour shoes were hurting her feet. So I told her to try some Sketchers and she wanted to check this place out. After searching for shoes for about an hour and couldn't find the right fit, my wife decided to ask an employee if she could help her by measuring her feet. The employee was really kind and helpful and right away she was able to help my wife find the right size and fit shoe. Their prices are so good and their deals are so awesome that I even bought a very nice pair of work boots that are far less expensive than Ecco work boots I usually buy, but just as comfortable and light as my Ecco boots. When we got to the counter to pay for all the shoes we picked, the other employee who rang us up was extremely nice as well. She even got us to sign up for a membership and we got even more discounts added to our order. Now we have a ton of reward points that we will definitely be using when we go back because we definitely plan to go back and buy more shoes there in the future. Thanks again to the 2 employees who were so kind and helpful. I wish we got their names to add in this review. They are the true embodiment of top notch customer service! TLDR you should not overlook all the other 1 star reviews this store has, and that you should really think twice before buying shoes at this particular store, because as soon as you wear them you will not be able to return them. This is a store that does not honor corporate policy and have their own way of handling customer returns( ie no returns at all, unless your feet and the shoes have never made contact). I went there on Saturday Dec 6 at around 6pm with the pair of shoes I bought from them less than 30 days ago. They insisted that my shoes were not in "resellable" condition(see photo I attached) because the "threads" were apparently damaged or "flatter" than when they were new. One of the cashiers there(an Asian lady in her mid 40s), after failing to talk me out of returning, went ahead and asked if i was Chinese. I'm not exactly sure why race has to do with any of this, but i thought it was irrelevant and it was pretty inappropriate of her to pull a race card on me when i was just trying to return a pair of shoes. Another manager, a middle eastern lady also in her 40s who refused to provide me her name(wonder why?) then stepped in and told us (very rudely) that their store policy is different from corporate, and made the point repeatedly that we should not have expected a return past the 29th day(I bought the shoe on Nov 7, and today is Dec 6, btw). We have been shopping at Skechers for years and it's very disappointing to have this happen to me at this store.
